Swatching my newest Roman Szmal watercolors 🎨

- Hello everyone! It is soooo good to be back, I missed you all so much! ❤️
In today's video, I am swatching 10 Roman Szmal watercolors that I purchased recently from Jackson's Art Supplies.
During editing, I noticed that somewhere in the middle of the video there is some light distortion which lasts about 30 seconds, I'm not sure why it occurred, and I am so sorry for this....will try and get to the bottom of it! 🧐

The colors I am swatching in the video are all Roman Szmal and the names are:

Hello Lily Moon. I recently discovered your channel. I watch a lot of swatching videos and there is something special about your swatches. My monitor sometimes brutalizes the colors onscreen, but all of these particular swatches looked grand. I think I shall start swatching in your style - it's very helpful to see the diluted tone. The most saturated Viridian.I found that doesn't turn to dust in my palette is MGraham Viridian. Others simply choose a Phthalo Green PG7 to get the exact same hue because of tinting strength. But no granulation with PG7. But it's my all time favorite mixing color. Schmincke Phthalo Green ( PG7,) I can't paint without it. I use it with Carmines to make blacks, every other kind of green you can imagine. Touch some in blues for aquas. Turquoise. Put it in warm reds for brick colors. It creates lots of earth colors.

I saw a tip to unpacking these pans is to pop them in the freezer for a while before taking out of the package.

Patty-I am so glad you are back and feeling better. I love the colors. I am currently enjoying DaVinci paints. I love them. I don't think I can afford RS paints for now, but I will enjoy them while you are working with them. I don't think you ramble. ❤️

Iron chrome brown was on my wish list already, you've made it move to the top...and added Aquarius black to it also! Another lovely swatching video! If you don't have transparent mummy red, it's one of my faves.

Gorgeous colours aren't they. I really like Roman Szmal watercolours. All the ones you have chosen are really beautiful. I also like my Rosa Gallery paints and finally I have full set. Glad to hear all went well with appointment and you are back. Wishing you great health.

I love Roman Szmal. If you put them in the freezer for a short time they are easier to remove. At least for the full pans. I haven't tried the half pans but I would imagine it works the same. I just put them in 5 min then check and if need be maybe 5 more

I enjoyed watching you swatch these colours. They are so pretty and a few I would love to own. I have some Roman Szmal paints and recommend the Aquarius Green and/or the Autumn Green. They are two of my favourite Roman Szmal paints.

Autumn Green, yes, just gorgeous. I don't tend to bother with greens (on the theory that I will eventually get good at mixing them), but RS's Autumn Green is just too wonderful to ignore.

These are my favorite, watercolor brand, and I used to be really into very expensive watercolor. But I can’t stay away from these, so I watched your video and subscribe to your channel. You should try the alizarin Crimson, blue ocean, grey, and hookers green, azo yellow. They are amazing..

Isn't RS Caput Mortuum the most gorgeous colour! Try mixing it with Buff titanium and you get the most stunning dusky pink you can imagine. xx

A really unusual but nice palette. I realised I don't have the majority of the colours. May I check if the Cyprus Umber Dp is the Cyprus Burnt Umber Dp?

Ceruleans are Cobalts...I have two types of Cerulean,light and deep,one light,sky blue and other deep turquoise blue like...I love Cobalts ❤
@@ligaskirbauska8652 Haha, yes they certainly are! It's just that the ones named simply "Cobalt Blue" are typically closer in hue to Ultramarine than this one, so that's surprising to me. These light, cooler shades are usually named "Cerulean" in different variations. :) And I wholeheartedly agree, cobalts are beautiful! 😍
@@hannahthufvesson nothing better for seascapes,waves,seafoam,Sky in watercolours...no matter what,nothing can beat Cobalts...And that blue is not matter what Cobalt,always is beautiful,natural like.Its never chemical looking.💗
