The most accurate review I've seen of this says "...both so gifted vocally, they make something out of the nothing that is Duett". The song is very ordinary really, but they sell it for far more than it's worth.
Agreed. They might have even won with this average song, if the average household had stereo speakers on their TVs. This particular song sounds like fried assholes on mono speaker though haha
One of my favourite songs of the entire Eurovision history. No doubt they offered a stunning live performance. Great voices. Jan♥️ and the eternal Elisabeth
I accidentally met Jan a couple week before he died. Well, not met, just a 'hello', 'hello' kinda thing. We sat at the same restaurant. table next to us, that's when it dawned on me.... I'd hate to be a celeb. With everyone just going crazy when he was there.
@@turidwichstrm7608 Wtf is wrong with you? (and whoever liked your comment for that matter, hopefully it was you.) This is a comment about someone's death and your reply with your sh*tty jokes.
I wouldn't call 6th place underrated. That being said, there are many songs in 1994 that should have done better than they did... but NOT this one. This one deserved top 3!!
Of Elisabeths four entries in the ESC (1982 for Sweden, and 1985,1994 and 1996 for Norway), this was the the most underrated one. Outstanding performances.
Some events that we by chance are fortunate enough to see are so amazing that we remember them forever and we are reminded how very temporary is our time here...be well Elisabeth and to you Jan I bid you RIP and not forgotten...
Jan, His Voice ?? wow, but Elisabeth She is Perfect also, Two Angels Singing Together. Also so high, a very High Song, Beautiful. By the way, Voices from Norway are very clear, because of the clear Air.
Not perfect. She has a tendency in all her performances to be a bit sharp. Her pitch accuracy is not top drawer. But the two of them go extremely well together and he smoothes over her weak areas making this performance really stand out.
A song ahead of its time, absolutely beautiful. It would have made an even more stunning performance with a slightly slower pace, which would have created seconds of space in between for these very powerful singers.
Jeg elsker å høre denne om og om igjen den er litt gammel men den skyter inn i hjertet mitt som en kniv kanskje fordi jeg er langt unna nrge den får meg til å savne Norge ennå mere..
Unfortunately it doesn't work on mono speaker. Which is what most of the public had at the time. I remember listening to it on a mono TV once, it was terrible.
Both of them were out of this world on that stage, but Jan Werner's scene-mugging really puts me off, and the arrangement for this song was rather weak.
@@morbidsearch But they doesn't require the backing vocals to be live. So the artist could just use an autotuned version of their song as the backing vocals.

Typical boring song from the 90s at the ESC, mah. Absolutely nothing here can surprise you, but it can work for those with insomnia as it instantly maked you sleepy.
I guess you're just salty that you country couldn't compete with all the "typical boring songs from the 90s"... But let me tell you, there is a reason why that is...
This song makes me cry 😢
Every year since, I return to listen to it once again.
This guy was so talented, passed away to early..miss him so much...
A good song but the vocal performances were out of this world! Well performed, deserved to do well.
A brilliant song from Norway, one of my faves that year. Such a shame that Jan died so young.
I've listened all the songs at the Eurovision ever and ranked them, and Norway was my winner 4 time in a row, with 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996
@CinemaVenatorITA Today it's with Sweden and Italy
How does Elisabeth's other 2 entries faired in your rankings?
What a singer she is , beautiful, and great harmony with Jan Verner who was also amazing and singing live!!
Superduo.
The most accurate review I've seen of this says "...both so gifted vocally, they make something out of the nothing that is Duett". The song is very ordinary really, but they sell it for far more than it's worth.
They belted it out at the point!

This song illustrates the talented singers from Norway sent to EUROVISION over many years.
Magnificent singing by magnificent perfomers,.
12 points from Spain!!!
Rest in peace, Jan ❤️
Tragic to hear of Jan's death, both singers here have superb voices.

This was such a great song but so under rated
If more people had stereo speakers in 1994 it would win. It sounds trash on mono.

Wow, two real Vocalists.
En fantastisk stemme hadde Jan Werner. Nydelig duett var det.
The best vocalists to ever perform at Eurovision.

What a vocal.
