I'm also a music snob, such a snob that I don't bother listening to 90% of new kpop songs these days but Mamamoo is one of the few exceptions so I thought I'd clarify a few things about DangDang. I don't hate DangDang but I also don't like it so I'm not going to complain that you didn't either but fyi that wasn't Mamamoo, it was a two member subunit called Mamamoo+. DangDang is one of if not the least representative song you could have listened to in their extremely large and diverse discography as a group, solo or subunit. The two members formed the subunit to explore different things and unfortunately (imo) they apparently decided to scratch 'cute concept bubblegum pop' off the list of things they haven't done before. Mamamoo+ has other songs that are terrific but I'd recommend you listen to a few songs by the full group before shitcanning them. Mamamoo are known as the vocal queens of kpop and are often called a 'woman group' rather than a girl group, which indicates how unusual DangDang is in their discography. They've been around since 2014 and have hundreds of songs in a wide variety of genres. Since I don't know what you like a good sampler is their appearance on the Dingo Killing Voice series where they did a live medley of songs from 2014 to 2020 when the vid was filmed.

@@BIGFRESHSCONES YW! Mamamoo+ is a confusing name for a subunit, esp for anyone new to Mamamoo. Hope you like the full group. They're one of the most talented and fascinating groups in S Korea - world class singers and serious artists who are involved with all creative aspects of their career including songwriting, arranging, choreo, styling and MV concepts while also being total crackheads who don't take themselves too seriously (as in DangDang). Each member has a very successful solo career as well so they're basically an all-star group of all-rounders. Hope you enjoy whatever you listen to next!

I used to love Mamamoo back in my loop days but haven’t been in that space for a long time. I noticed the ‘+’ and was a little confused, so thanks for clearing that up!! Will def have to listen to more of their newer tracks because I haven’t listened for a long time ❤️❤️

@@BIGFRESHSCONESsince mamamoo are so versatile and did so many genre. You can ask us what genre you want to hear. And yeah hopefully you will check the whole group.
Just name it, jazz, chill house, RnB, pop, latin, reggaeton, ballad, or song with powerful belt, vocal run, riff ?
      They eat that.

@@rebeccaoreilly544 You're welcome! If a long time means pre-pandemic there's a ton of music to choose from in the last 3-4 years. I'd recommend Where Are We Now by the group and Hwasa's solo songs Maria and LMM for starters. Imo they're don't-miss masterpieces but that's just my taste of course. 😂

I do not like that typical cutesy Kpop but I only listen to Mamamoo and their solo songs. I just can't find myself hearing others because they're vocals raised my standards. Try checking out their Mamamoo Dingo Killing Voice. 😊
