@Gyselle Huerta Actually, doctors do not say to a patient that they are fine if the patient will die. It is rude and immature for a doctor to tell a patient they won't die even if they have the slightest chance of it. Also, give me a time stamp of when he said that. I am not saying you're wrong, I am just saying that if you are right, he is a terrible doctor.
The Dad telling his son, "You will wake up, stupid," through his own tears of fear is the most Dad thing ever. And in true Dad fashion, he was of course right.

In 2015 my wife had 2 brain surgeries in 10 days in an attempt to cure her out of control Epilepsy. I watched her go bravely in to surgery both times. One lasted about 5 hours. The other was 12 hours. We never discussed the bad things that could happen. Just the great things ahead. Her determination to live seizure free in her mind outweighed any concerns she might have had about mortality. Her Epilepsy was directly caused by beatings at the hands of abusive parents. The surgeon after her second surgery asked me about damage they saw on the side of her brain. I told him she had been an abused child. He said the damage was was caused by many concussions and brain swelling. He said she probably had bleeding on her brain as well. The surgeons were amazing. She has had zero side effects from the surgeries. Today she is on a very low dose mild anti-seizure drug just in case but her Epilepsy in 99% gone. No seizures in many years. She used to have what are called absence seizures 10 times or more times a day with big seizures now and then. That is no longer. She is driving. Life is good. Hope all turned out well for the young man.
My partner suffers from absence seizures and after 2 years of different medication and relapses surgery could well be the next option. He drove for a living and loves it, this gives me hope!

This episode was on last night and I very rarely show my emotions but the moment when he started crying when he became worried about not waking up after his operation. It brought back memories of an operation I had when I was 9 years old. The last thing I remember was about to be put to sleep in the theatre and my mother was by my side and I don’t remember anything after that. The moment he said “What if I don’t wake up?” And started crying I broke and couldn’t stop crying for the rest of the video. God bless this young man, he is so very lucky to have a family that cares for him that much.
I am just relieved that the lad is all right now. It was heartbreaking listening his conversation with his Mum. Congratulations to doctors, nurses and staff.
I was expecting a worse outcome. I have had my own scares with cancer but at a much older age. Even not knowing this young man I would have traded my own life to save his. These kids all deserve a life.
How she didn't collapse on the floor is beyond me? Your child is terrified and is going into a life threatening procedure, and his thoughts are to tell his mom he loves her, I really hope she was on her way to him when he called and was so focused on getting to him she knew that tears may affect her vision and slow her down so she held them back to get to him faster.
@@t0ast656 When he asked his dad, what if I don't wake up? and his dad replied with, You WILL wake up Stupid, don't be silly.....it looked like the dad was fighting back tears too. I understand how the 16 year old feels. I’m actually having an anaesthesia appointment on August, but for different reasons. My reason is life threatening, but at the same time it’s minor.

Truth Keeper Films yeah
This absolutely broke me the power of love for your child that you are dying inside but remain strong for your babies . I would of broken down in the hall when he went in to surgery
Truth Keeper Films GOL GOL GOL
Mad respect
The moment he said “What if I don’t wake up?” And started crying I broke and couldn’t stop crying for the rest of the video. God bless this young man, he is so very lucky to have a family that cares for him that much.
Same here!
I teared up a little also
Anthony Turner why are you crying?
Never mind I see why
hmm a very strong will to live
I am just relieved that the lad is all right now. It was heartbreaking listening his conversation with his Mum. Congratulations to doctors, nurses and staff.
I was expecting a worse outcome. I have had my own scares with cancer but at a much older age. Even not knowing this young man I would have traded my own life to save his. These kids all deserve a life.
My respect goes to his mum. Imagine the pain she would have felt when she put the phone down.
Always about the mom huh. What about dad sitting there? Jeez
thinkof2morrow I- just bc I said I felt bad for the mom, don’t mean I don’t for the dad. And what’s your problem?!
Kittie Perry true, but imagine her pain inside. her son is at a life threatening suitiation and she can’t cry when she’s crying,
@@t0ast656 When he asked his dad, what if I don't wake up? and his dad replied with, You WILL wake up Stupid, don't be silly.....it looked like the dad was fighting back tears too. They said he got in a fight, I don't know if the laws are the same but if you get in a fight and say you push and they fall back and hit their head and end up dying, you can be prosecuted for involuntary man slaughter. Even if it was an accident, you can still go to prison.
Going into surgery afraid of not waking up afterward is the scariest thing ever. I’ve been there
❤️❤️
glad you're still here 💜

It immediately reminded me of when my best friend texted me saying “goodbye. I love you and I’ll miss you.” I never heard from her again. She was going through a lot and killed her self right after she pressed send.💔
@@laylaissohotwtf I’m sorry for your loss. I have never gone through a personal life loss besides my dog who was with me since I was born. I lost her almost 2 years ago to cancer and thinking of losing a friend, or relative, gets me emotional very quickly.

the doctor: your heart rate is too fast we cant monitor it! calm down!
the mom in the next room: whats a heart rate?

for this kid I cant stop crying 😭😭😭
Last words of my best friend, I called and called her hospital room and her family answered and I asked for her and she was sooooo sick but so happy to hear me and I her, I will never forget her voice (but wish now I had recorded it somehow) -- we told each how much we loved each other over and over again and ….. I still struggle knowing she is gone even after all of these years :(. She was truly a magnificent human being. I have been to surgery, even the most minor ones, say there a risk of life.
But when it comes to head surgery, I bet it is high.
@@haloharry97 True, any time anaesthesia is used it can cause death. In this case there was probably a high risk of bleeding in the brain.
Hopefully he wakes up
