TU does not have any music majors in their band like JSU and other larger schools. There are also limited scholarships. They are all volunteer students who are studying other disciplines. Considering that fact, their dedication is unmatched by other bands. Great job pipers!!! MCP '89- 90.
So true....TU is an exclusive academic, science, mech engineering, veterinarian school. We also don't give many football scholarships and some alumni want to get rid of football altogether (my grandparents included)---our school is more academic based and only 35% are admitted with SAT scores of 1K-1375 median. The dead can get into JSU tbh.

Smh..smh..They tried but be damn if that sound good...I'm being real..smh..Have some pride learn the music 1st at least..Size don't mean nothing..I've watched quite a few of their performances..Alot of heart and groove but no technique..Its sounds bad the director need to tighten up..Thats unacceptable for a College band..

Good show but purple rain was pretty band. The arrangement was inconsistent and rushed. It felt all over the place. Other than that great show.
