River rafting in Rishikesh offers breath-taking views of the surrounding Himalayan range.
Ganga rafting in Rishikesh has gained steady popularity in the last few years with adventure enthusiasts from India and abroad flocking to the town for a taste of what it has to offer. The rising demand for the sport has naturally led to the growth of several rafting tour operators in Rishikesh but it’s very important to partner with the right company to have a good experience.
The Shivpuri down white-water rafting trip takes place in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. It is a 16-kilometre stretch that can be covered in 2 or 3 hours. H We encounter 7 rapids including big and small ones. This short trip is a great way of getting a quick taste of the sport. Although it does have Grade III and III+ rapids, beginners too can enjoy this trip under the guidance of our rafting instructors.
The Ganga is regarded as a holy river by Hindus who come to Rishikesh in hordes to absolve their sins in the sacred water. Rafting on the Ganga offers a great vantage point for stunning views of the mountains. On clear days, the mountains are a sight to behold with the sun lighting up their snowy peaks with myriad hues.
Now let me share that there are many tour operators available there but make sure you choose wisely, they have to be the certified and licensed. There are many operators who illegally run the camps and if anything happens they might leave you and won't take any responsibility of yours so be careful there.
The cost for the rafting depends and varies, it would cost less than 2500 if you are doing the 16 km stretch. It is an absolute adventure guys and a must to do thing.
