Greetings! And thank you for your NMIXX video!! At the very end of your video, you asked about NMIXX lore. And that made me think back of a comment I made back in January (when their song "DASH" was just released) about explaining their lore as far as it went until that point. Of course, for length's sake, it's all a summary, and also my own interpretation of it, but if you'll permit me I'll copy it here so you can read it as well :) Enjoy! -------- What follows is only my own interpretation and summarization; I'm skipping stuff and some stuff might be incorrect! But I've been an NSWER since their pre-debut, and I've watched (and been interested in!) all of their content. I'll try to be brief, but NMIXX's lore is relatively easy to follow. It has expended considerably but strangely it hasn't progressed far at all! What I mean is that over the past two years, many new elements of lore have been added, but I still can tell the story in these three main points: 1) A long time ago (as with any good fairy tale ;) ), there was a land called the "MIXX", where animals (and other creatures) with many different personnalities coexisted. It was a world where imagination constantly pushed its boundaries. But legends had it that at the end of this infinite imagination was "MIXXTOPIA", where dreams and wishes comes true. Many adventurers of the "MIXX" set up to find "MIXXTOPIA". Many of them had fun, played or bickered along the way, but one of them in particular had nefarious goals. He formed an evil organisation named "MONOPOLE", and with it, he tried to remove uniqueness and diversity from the "MIXX" by polluting it. He dreamed of a unified utopia. It worked, and many inhabitants of the "MIXX" were becoming brainwashed and devoid of joy, passion and choice. "MONOPOLE" wanted only standardized perfection. 2) One day, six girls living in the world of "FIELD" (the real world) are drawn to each other with a force like magnetism. They manages to reopen doorways leading to the "MIXX" (the fairy tale world). They were able to see visions of how the "MIXX" was in the past, with all its beautiful diversity. They then meet at the "PICK N MIXX" Donut and Candy Shop, a symbol of the "MIXX"s diversity because of its many choice of food and deserts. But "MONOPOLE" influence is starting to be felt even there, and the candy shop is soon rebranded as "SWEET OASIS", a shop selling only one type of candy, of a green color. 3) The girls discovers something called "IMPETUS", colorful stones/candy(?) that are the fuel for thousands of emotions, and uses it to help drive themselves foward on a big ship (with a lion in front) in search of "MIXXTOPIA" (a place where imagination comes true), to find a way to fight off "MONOPOLE". Using "Wisdom, Love and Courage", they liberate many NSWERs that were prisoners of "MONOPOLE" along the way and, travelling together, they go on their adventure. But "MONOPOLE" keep tracks of the girl's journey, sometimes using cats as agents. They try to prey on the girls' fears and pollute them too, but the girls see through it, turn it into a game and while facing their fears they were able to continue. After a while, though, "MONOPOLE" successfully manage to burn the ship down, stopping the girls in a deserted city. Using their powers and together with NSWERs, they aim to push through everything and continue to make their way towards "MIXXTOPIA". And that's about where we are! (well, before "DASH"; I haven't had time to analyse it too much yet :) ). Common lore elements in most NMIXX videos are: Whales, dolphins and jellyfishes representing NSWERs. Usually green items, and cats, as representing "MONOPOLE" (sidenote: that's mostly during "DICE" era). The ship with a lion in front. Some kind of magnetism power manifesting by the girls. In most of their songs' lyrics, they mention the girls and NSWERs travelling together and/or the girls inviting NSWERs to travel together with them. Their second arc was called "Docking Station" and that went on from their first EP "Expérgo" up until the release of their second EP "Fe3O4: BREAK" (around December 2023), so it included the Single Album with "Party O'Clock" and "Roller Coaster" as well. Their latest arc is "Fe3O4" and started with the stuff related to that mini-album up until now. "Fe3O4: STICK OUT" is a continuation of "Fe3O4: BREAK". I need to rewatch the other videos from their lore because I’m not quite sure either but here are some things that I do know about them: Nmixx always goes back and forth between dreaming and being awake. There is the field (aka being awake in the real world) and Mixxtopia (when they are dreaming, example, their islands in the sky/pink world)Their videos and music often reference these two themes as well as the ocean themes (ship with sails, whales, dolphins, jellyfish, mermaid, lyrics about ocean blue, blue sea, big wave!) The song O.O literally shows you two big open eyes that are wide awake. Soñar means to dream in Spanish. In the beginning of Love me Like This MV, they are waking up. Their album title, A Midsummer Nmixx’s Dream. And now, I see sheep being referenced here which could have multiple meanings because what do you count when you are trying to fall asleep? So I don’t have the whole story in a nice little package but I at least can catch some of the ongoing themes lol. Oh and I wanted to mention that there are sheep with horns called bighorn sheep.
Interesting! I always love reading lore summaries but at the same time I do love that it's not a requirement to understand? The art of it is still so beautiful it can still be appreciated
