Watch the rescue and rejuvenation of this beautiful 1988 Lamborghini Countach! Follow WheelinIt as we search for and bring these classics back to life!
Near enough fifty years on and they still look like a modern masterpiece. Good luck from England with your new car. Always love the one Harry Metcalfe has. No spoiler; just as it was first up.
... ultra rare classic .. I remember seeing one here back in the day and the story went like the p0p0 confiscated it and took it apart looking for whatever an no one would figure out how to put it back together so we never saw it again ..
I love it! Thanks for the video! I have a Prova replica that is having a new interior, and misc refresh. I hope to be driving it soon! I must admit to being a little jealous of your barn find!!!
The Lambo is undeniably cool, and I do love the black with gold wheels. Although that blue first gen Camaro that was beside it is absolutely gorgeous. Oh, I also really like the yellow one at the start of this video also. Why yes, I am a huge fan of the Camaros.
Those American rear and front bumpers ruin the early Countach as well as the fuel injection. Most are never tuned properly. The European down draft QV carbureted models are the absolute best. Rare but the best.
Understand where you are coming from Alex, but with the poor quality fuel nowadays....Fuel injection with the new upgraded Evans box is the only way to go in my mind. Especially if you are going to drive your car, and I love Wheelinit....
Looking forward to subsequent videos, hopefully when the car is in the workshop, the abominable, ugly US bumpers are removed, which will greatly appeal to Countach fans. Only in the US!!!
Sooo....was that it? Did I miss a series of previous videos showing the process from find to finish and this was just a summary video? If not, what was the back story? Where was the recommissioning phase video? Where was the detailing video? I feel I've missed a bunch of videos on this "garage find".
Wow a Lemans Blue 68 Z28, Matador Red 68 RS/SS 396, a Marlboro Maroon 70 LT1 roadster, and a British Racing Green 68 427 Roadster - and a Lambo - I'd rather have the Camaros and Corvettes and I already have 2 LT1's.
For what it's worth, Italians pronounce Countach as (Koon-tat-ch) not (Koontash) Famous Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni corrected my dad when we met him in 1989. My dad had an 88 carburated Euro 5000S without the fugly DOT bumpers and the original "bigger and more swept back" wing. You may get more car meet cred if you pronounce it correctly. Many diehard fans know Koon-tash is just what silly Americans call the car. Enjoy.
A gorgeous European car destroyed by the US's crash protection regulations with those stupid bumper car add on's. They did the same with the Bugatti Chiron. Disgusting!
I did buy it !! But I did rescue her from a life of just sitting in storage. Now she can be enjoyed by all and honestly, be a great motivational tool for the next generation to work hard and attain your dreams 😎🏁🏁
The black on gold wheels look extremely good. Probably the best color combination! Such timeless and outrageously exotic looking design!
I agree !!!!
that guys garage could bring a feller to tears!
This guy is so cool I bet everyone loves him
Damn straight
Like Ron White (they call him "Tater Salad") mixed with Don Johnson!
Man!
Very respectable collection of cars there.
Normally I don’t like flashy cars but that things awesome. So much razzle dazzle.
Thanx4sharing thanx4caring ❤
Man what a badass frikin car. Love it.
Round belly.....no ugly side skirts. 👍👍🍺🍺
Love the vettes and Camaro
It's a U.S. spec Countach, you can tell by those bumpers, Euro spec doesnt have those but hey its a Countach so WHOAH!
My first love ever, the Lambo Countach
Near enough fifty years on and they still look like a modern masterpiece.
Good luck from England with your new car.
Always love the one Harry Metcalfe has. No spoiler; just as it was first up.
Badass!! I like the white w/red interior!!
I can see the posters hanging up in my friends room back in the 80s,awesome car
What a stunning Lambo, cleaned up well!!
💰💰 amazing car 💰💰

Beautiful find and a great piece of automotive history. Congratulations!
I’m your biggest fan
Still can’t believe what these things are worth now.
It's such an awesome find! I bet it still was expensive but amazing. I'm going to have to watch this series. My ultimate dream car! 😍
He is a movie star!!
Keep up the good work, enjoyed that, always good watching US car enthusiasts adventures, will watch with interest from here in England 👍

Great find. Always loved that Lambo. The black with the gold rims really sets it off nice.
Awesome car.... but a little bit of a stretch to call it a 'garage find'. This thing wasn't forgotten about.
Nothing stops my heart like the site of my forever dream car!
AWESOME!!!!! Great video!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for watching!
Do some updates on the countach, please.
What an awsome car lift he has in his garage, that wouldn't be cheap. Always hated those safety Bumperets.
Mint Green N/GT 964 would look great with this!😁
Stay tuned....Minty N/GT video coming soon :)
Looks like it had PA inspection stickers. I'd also see about getting rid of those ugly bumpers and bring it back to its original beauty.
Appreciate all the positive comments. Going to work on a driving video when it’s nice enough to get her out !!!
Incredible car. Good luck with it, they are amazing...please tell me you ditched the US-spec bumpers?
Working on that. Crazy, but when you see her in person the black blends in and really looks better than I thought
idk about this but judging by the condition of the rest of these cars it won't be hard to get running this isn't a barn find

Totally ridiculous he did not cover that car and didn’t start it for 17 years. He doesn’t deserve that car. Glad someone else is getting it.
Typical redneck
Go speed Racer GOOOO
They look & sound awesome, but visibility is awful from the drivers seat!
HOPE THAT DUDE KNOWS WHAT HE HAD IN HIS GARRAGE! $400,000

Did you put fresh tyres on the car after you got it running?
Sure Did....actually they were the first thing I ordered. A blowout would ruin my day :)
How many times have you been pulled over by jealous cops?
What were you able to pick this one up for? Interested in selling?
Countach is Italian for claustrophobic.

Ps what’s happening with the LM002 in the background, is that yours as well?
No Sir..that is the repair shops. One old Lambo is probably enough...:)

Coontaj
Those US spec bumpers are pretty awful - surely the first thing is to rip them off!!
A gorgeous European car destroyed by the US's crash protection regulations with those stupid bumper car add on's. They did the same with the Bugatti Chiron. Disgusting!
take those bumpers off
cannnonballlll
Convert it to European Specs right away. These US Bumpers are just ruining the look of the Countach
This not a rescue he is just buying it
I did buy it !! But I did rescue her from a life of just sitting in storage. Now she can be enjoyed by all and honestly, be a great motivational tool for the next generation to work hard and attain your dreams 😎🏁🏁
Hey dude, if u ever need a kidney...ill swap!
When hillbillies hit the lotto.
The guy backed those cars out way too fast..
