Same deal with shipping time here to So Cal. Love the pipe. Responds much better through the RPMs, particuarly, higher RPMs. Also, a nice little decel backfire which means she’s running fatter.
I'm in the UK. I fitted the Dominator and found it loud to the point where it was drawing a little too much attention. I made a DIY mod in the restrictor tube to silence it a little more. I love it's sound and slightly aggressive tone and the advantage of having the space for a ToolTube.
Hello Luton What mod did you do as I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of these but they are freakin loud even with the dB killer installed. Thnx lad!
@@Merc-Rover Thnx for the prompt reply mate. So you welded the washer at the exhaust tip of the dB killer in order to decrease it's diameter. Can you give me the ID of the washer?
@@vagelispavlopoulos I've also installed the dominator (on a r850 though) and found it too loud as well with the dB killer. However, on the dominator site they offer a 'hard' dB killer, which is much much better. No direct flow out of that one. It has a sportier sound but you're certainly not drawing too much attention

Hi Brett, I live in NSW and just this week I have purchased a 2014 BMW G650GS with only 14000klms on it in very good condition with a very good service history, like you I and going to change the exhaust system to a Dominator system Did you have much trouble getting the stock exhaust system off the bike?, I just had a good look at mine and there looks like a lot of fiddly bits before the stock exhaust comes off I will be going with the HARD DB killer as my primary purpose is to lose some weight off the bike as I am not overly interested in the extra noise, just the weight saving I have setup an account with Dominator and will be ordering direct from Poland Any help appreciated
I think it’s great that you bought the hard db killer as it is loud. I rode it without the db killer and it was not good. When I got mine they didn’t have that db killer at the time otherwise I would have bought one. The stock exhaust is very easy to remove from memory. I made a toolbox where the second exhaust was and used the shield off the exhaust on the toolbox to make it look a bit more part of the bike. Let me know what you think of the dominator when it’s fitted. Good luck.
hey guy you dont have to make the ajustment with that bolt you can just turn the thing and bolt it on the 3th holl where you putt it so you dont need that metal barr thing. just a tip and its a littel more safe
It just slipped straight on and runs great. Mine is injected so no carbs. If you want to put in a high flow air cleaner then you would need to re-jet but if not it should be good. Make sure you get the db killer otherwise it will be too loud.
Great vid! Question: were you able to attach the Quadlock mount on your handlebar with the included rings? Picking up this bike and want to make sure it fits :) Thank you!
No downsize to changing it to one. The original pipes do very little as one is a catalytic converter and the other does very little. The new pipe makes it perform better. Also put in a K&N air filter and an iridium spark plug and it makes a huge difference.
You don’t have to but I installed a K&N air filter. I also purchased a booster plug which increases the fuel intake. Runs well and has a bit more power.
@brettwiltshire I'm looking to buy one mate for my G650... went on their website and they have an ST and OV version that look exactly the same but are about $30 difference. Thought u may know as I liked the sound of yours.
i am modifying the original exhaust of my g 650 gs 2012! I opened it and changed everything! tomorrow I will post a step-by-step video on the meh channel, if you want to follow.
Had to weld a small plate onto baffle before nieghbours kill me,,my f650 st is so much better now (bike runs nicer with NO baffle) but no recomended in town

How much is that saving weight over the stock exhaust?
Put mine on my 2001 F650GS , love it and put a tubular toolbox on the other side.
Great! Do you have a link to the toolbox?

Thanks for sharing this. I was wondering about that
Ho do I get one pls I live in Nelson NZ
Mine did not come with a bolt to mount it on - Any ideas what bolt to uwe to fit it
I just used a long stainless bolt 6mm and 3 nuts to mount it. It worked perfectly.
Nice video , hello from Poland
Hi man, nice looking and sounding exhaust. Im looking for one too for my 99' 650 funduro. Did you have to rejet your carbs? Or was it plug and play?

Mine didn’t fit as I bought the handlebar mount. The mirror mount would have worked better.
@@brettwiltshire What did you use to make it fit the thin bar?
I used some rubber type of tape that adheres to itself and wound it around it until it was big enough. Also helped with the vibration.
Sounds pretty good.
I just bought a 2003 dakar model with only 6,000 miles on it.
Would you say it added more power?
It did but I also fitted a K&N filter as well to help it breath better.

Aren't there any cons when switching to 1 instead of 2?

Hi, what is the company/website called in Poland where you got your exhaust?
Do you maybe have a part number for that exact exhaust please?
DominatoR
Was this the ST or the OV variant?
It was some years ago that I made this video. Are you referring to the model of the exhaust and what is the ST and OV variants you mentioned?
