my man . I owe you BIG TIME. I've had this THinkpad just chillin here for months now , same with the flasher kit . just sitting here. I decided to mess with it tonight and I'm astonished this thing is back to life and I love it. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Good evening, I have a Lenovo T440p, the display turns on the backlight and if I have a HD or SSD with the system installed connected to the SATA port, it gives me a post error (2 beeps) and I wanted to know if this solution solves my problem, thank you very much

Hi Adam, I have similar problem and would like to save my laptop. I am only able to find EPZ2019 USP Speed Programmer device. Can we use this item instead? may i know where do i find the new file to overwrite the chip if it is erased.
Same problem as other comments: Thinkpad L440, two series of 5 beeps, followed by pause... It was booting up eventually, but, now goes on forever & won't boot. IS this only a CMOS battery issue?

@Adam Repair : My lenovo thinkpad w520 is beeping like yours. Last time i turned it on and on Desktop screen its display gone black screen and not displaying anything when i restarted it there was no beep but after unplug battery and 5 seconds hold button technique i turned it on it is now beeping. Is my mother board is fine capslock is working on start but not after one beep and power button is still green not yellow ?

@@raisfayyadh5596 it's power issue change your laptop charger. remove battery and power it on only charger.

I Programmed the chip . but still didnt work. got 5 beeps. no screen. But i've replaced the CPU (i5-4gen) and it WORKED! thanks anyways!

can you provide updated link for programmer and the 8 pin clip you used? laptop was originally working fine, it rebooted several times before turning on... tried the CMOS reset to remedy the continuous restart before boot and ended up getting the 5 beep no start issue...

Nevermind actually. The system kept beeping (5 beep loop, 3 times) and finally turned on showed a “checksum error” in bios. System now boots fine. New issue: tries to update Bios via lenovo website and gets error 216 failed to read bios from rom... system reboots instantly multiple times at initial press of power button before finally showing lenovo logo and booting initial symptom that caused CMOS reset. Is this symptom of the CMOS chip failing or is it the motherboard?
continued to diagnose the system got back the conclusion that the CMOS chip is failing. Multiple attempts of starting will finally jump the chip good enough for the board to read it. Can’t find replacement chip, a new board will probably completely fix the issue. Maybe just a new laptop. Thankfully it still functions through all of this.
where did you get the new bios file i loaded. i was following your video, you pressed erased first then save, so did i but mine bios erased and now dont know where u got the bios file from. how do i load the bios?

Not sure : Was it in hibernation and doesn´t turn on anymore? (What I got with mine^^). It just flashes backlight of keyboard and blinks

@@sichernichtmitnamen7345 Hi, i have the same problem, first time heard some beeps(i couldnt memorize), but nothing since then....i bought this item, rewrote the BIOS, still have the same symptom...3 flashes but nothing else....what is the end of story?
