There is something about her voice that brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song. I don't even understand what happens, but I literally well up with tears at the final three notes. It has been the same ever since I first heard the song in the Eurovision of 1969.
Didn't see your ppst Barry. Same here. I hadn't seen her in video until last night. We grew up listening to this record and I still cry when I hear her sing this song. It's the same for me as hearing amazing grace on the bagpipes.
Mr. Baker, I couldn't agree with you more. I was an 18 year old in Dublin, when I watched the 69' Euro vision and was Gobsmacked by the voice of Frida. When I listen to this song and "Cent Mille Chasons" returns me to a time of musicality I had never heard of before. I was just opening up to a wider world. Living in Ireland with limited exposure to a wider world was stultifying and then we began to listen to what the rest of Europe was singing. It helped that I was in love with a French girl studying for her English Masters in Dublin so it was a mesmerizing time to be living in. Brings back so many old memories. I never get tired listening to Frida.

Don't understand, She, Frida Boccara, and the author, Eddy Marnay, are not that famous since this marvellous masterpiece. And their rests.
If I was a good scenarist i would work on that story, could make an incredible story for Hollywood or at least BBC 4. Really 🌿🌿🌿

Bonjour chantal pary une chanteuse québécoise des années 70 ou l'on retrouve la même même émotion lorsqu'elle chante ma vie c'est toi deux grandes artistes humbles et généreuses j' ai encore le 33 tours de frida boccara que j'avais acheté en 1970 bonne journée

le ROYAUME UNI a du attendre 1997 pour sa 5 ème victoire donc 20 ans après la FRANCE
Le Royaume-Uni s'est retrouvé 15 fois à la seconde place (pour info la France seulement 4), alors qu'elle aurait bien mérité à maintes reprises la victoire (1962, 1989), sans avoir à attendre 20 ans pour égaler la France.
En 1977 la FRANCE avait déjà gagné 5 fois le ROYAUME a gagné pour la 3 ème fois en 1976
