Hi, thanks for your videos. Very helpful. Could you please share any trick how to get the two sets of splines in the overdrive in line when the overdrive has been already assembled ? Thanks.
Nope. If I have issues I will replace the whole transmission with the rebuilt one. Too busy now to switch the mainshaft due to the overdrive so I will risk it.
Elin I would appreciate your advice on cleaning gasket debris from in a working gearbox A type OD I posted pictures here. www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/64258-a-type-od-gearbox-debris/?p=557725#entry557725 If it’s s forum you are registered with. I I know Tush is. I don’t have your skills tools or space to fully dismantle the box. Is flushing an option ?
I am sorry for the late reply, but I see you have many responses there already. I think you already know what to do. Flushing with anything that won't hurt the seals is a good idea.
just seeing this for the1st time enjoying your full library😵

Thank you Bob!
I'm sure after this you will never want to see another transmission again...lol
Oh, you don't know me. I am looking for J-type in need of rebuilding now :)
You have it torn down this far, are you going to replace the syncros?
Nope. If I have issues I will replace the whole transmission with the rebuilt one. Too busy now to switch the mainshaft due to the overdrive so I will risk it.
Too bad you didn't have all the parts...must be coming by dog sled :-)
Yes, but it is cheap! LOL
