I’ve always figured Ends should have had more to do with Allison’s trauma and pushing her to be more unhinged than Laurie. She lost everything in one night and was part of a mob riot that lead to more deaths. I used to tell my buddies the movie would have ended better with a call back to the first Halloween only in this case with Cory being gone and revealed to be alive after the closure with mask and knife by him. He tries to tend to his wounds and when he turns back to grab the mask he notices the knife is gone. Leading to a first person perspective of an assailant just stabbing the dude and ending him with one deep thrust into his skull. Zooms out of the home Cory was hiding in to reveal it being Allison. Who then drives off leaving Haddonfield.
@@TheGeekInformant I hate to break it to you, but contrary to popular belief, both the original 'Star Wars' film trilogy and the 'Star Wars' prequel film trilogy were not planned out in advance. Like with the films of the 'Star Wars' sequel film trilogy, each of those films were written one at a time, with there being some story ideas that were thought up before each film's script was written. Also, the idea of Rey being Darth Sidious's granddaughter was thrown around while 'Star Wars - Episode 7: The Force Awakens' was being made.
@@TheGeekInformant That has nothing to do with what I said. In this video, you critique the 'Star Wars' sequel film trilogy for not having been fully planned out, but neither were the other 2 'Star Wars' film trilogies. George Lucas didn't come up with Darth Vader secretly being Anakin Skywalker until he wrote the script for 'Star Wars - Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back' after 'Star Wars - Episode 4: A New Hope' was released, and he didn't come up with Luke and Leia being biological siblings until he wrote the script for 'Star Wars - Episode 6: Return of The Jedi' after 'Star Wars - Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back' was released.
Dya know what I like about your “fix”? The Whodunnit aspect turns Halloween in an old skool Slasher. The same kind of Slashers Halloween gave birth to.
@@TheGeekInformantthis is my version, nothing to fix with Halloween 2018 but with the title, I would call it Halloween Redux (get it since the word Redux means the same thing that 2018 is) Kills would begin with a 10 min flashback of the final fight between Michael and Laurie, then we get the 1978 flashback where Michael takes out a sheriff and icu's the other one who is Hawkins, no one is dumb, Michael is brutal and suspenseful then he was beaten by the gang but when Karen trys to shoot him, she Gets her slashed in front of Allyson, then kills Tommy, Brackett and Cameron, then Michael escapes for 4 years, Ends begins with a flashback to last film but new footage, instead of Allysoj saying nothing when Karen Is killed, she screams "you're dead" then the theme kicks in, Michael has played the dead game for 1 year, Laurie has trained while Allyson works in the hospital, during Ends, Michael stalks her like he did to Laurie in 1978, during the final fight, Lauire is knocked down, so Allyson comes in and kicks his ass, then Laurie gets back up and tag teams, he's shot out the 2nd story then allyson junps down and stabs him and near breaks her leg, Lindsey and Ronnie find out the shape has been killed, so does Hawkins, and they all have one last memorial of the killer, no Corey, no dumb characters, no weird jokes, and consistent storyline, who do u think
I LOVE this rewrite!! I was really disappointed in Halloween Ends as a new fan to this franchise, and had always had sooo many ideas on how they could have made this trilogy more cohesive. I love your ideas especially on how each of the films focuses on Laurie, Haddonfield, and then Michael. I also love you're understanding of Michael's character which a lot of these movies severely lack. Great video :)
HOLY SHIT... EXACTLY DUDE YOU NAILED IT, RIGHT ON THE HEAD, THE ORDER OF THE MOVIES IS DEF A PROBLEM, I LOVE WHAT YOU DID FOR HALLOWEEN KILLS, THAT MYSTERY OF WHO DID IT WAS INCREDIBLE, ALSO THE 78 FLASHBACK SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE FIRST MOVIE NOT THE SECOND MOVIE, I LOVE HOW YOU BUILT COREY'S CHARACTER UP, THEN YOUR VERSION OF HALLOWEEN ENDS ESPECIALLY THE END OF IT WAS AMAZING, NOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO BUILD ON IF MALIK MAKAD WANTED TO CONTINUE THE FRANCHISE...YO YOU DEF. GAINED A FAN TODAY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU TOUCH ON OTHER FRANCHISES
This was really interesting and very well structured. The best thing, though, you still kept Michael a mystery. No psychic powers, not gaining strength through a kill count like he's playing Dead Rising, he's just a force of nature. A smart one, too, which I very much appreciated. And Corey's descent feels more authentic. An outcast, obsessed with a killer getting consumed by evil. The end was great as well. Sure its sequel bait, but it's a new force. Michael is gone, but you can't kill the boogeyman. And Corey is chosen. Good stuff, sir.
Thank you, that means a lot! You understood what I was going for, with the exception of sequel bait. This was to end Michael and Laurie's story. And it was, but evil never truly dies is what I was going for, as you stated. I wouldn't want a sequel to this because people pay to see Michael Myers as The Shape not Corey. It just showcases that this... thing, whatever it is, that claims these men will never die because as long as there is innate goodness, then there is always innate evil in humanity. More of a definitive ending that showcases that the Shape will live on, but we just won't see it. But again, I still appreciate the kind words!
@TheGeekInformant Very welcome. I see what you mean regarding the sequel bait. I didn't mean it desparingly. It was more just the sense of using an open ending that leads to more questions than answers. Sort of like the OG Halloween, but the irony being it was never meant to be sequel bait but went on to create multiple sequels due to its ending. With that said, I completely agree. The end of Michael & Laurie and no continuation needed. Honestly, sticking to an open ending as the final image of Halloween would be the best way for this franchise to end.
@@chrishowell6469 Sort of an everything comes full circle. The way I envisioned it is the ending that John Carpenter always wanted to do. The Shape goes off into the night and doesn't die. That also adds to what I was trying to do. But again, thank you for the kind words.
First off this is my first time seeing your channel. Your underrated af. I really like this video thanks for the fr we content and funny jokes. Best of luck.
This was really excellent man. Well done. I know I’m late to the party. This would’ve been such a better trilogy. So much more thought out and creative. They clearly didn’t know what they were doing after that first movie. Great work!
This is how I would do it if I was a movie director. Let Halloween 1, 2 and Halloween:H2O be canon and continue the reboots based on those legacy films. Josh Harnetts character from H2O has a daughter giving Laurie a granddaughter and Uncle Michael Myers coming back one last Halloween night to come after Laurie Strode, her son(Josh Hartnett) and granddaughter. Still have similar beats to Halloween 2018 but insert Josh Harnett and his daughter character. Make 2018 Halloween reboot sequel in 2 Parts which finally end the saga of Laurie and Michael(brother and sister) in an epic horror showdown finale. Ignore Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends and all the characters from those films entirely. That's my version if I made the Halloween saga. What yall think?
Enjoyed this. Well conceived and dare I say logical. Above all, nailed the end. Laurie definitely should have gone down with her monster like Loomis did...a sacrificial hero instead of a crazily overpowered one. Also, Corey 1000% should have risen up or disappeared (ANYTHING other than just punking out) after all the setup done for him.
And here it would be better because there was MORE buildup to him being a threat. In the actual movie we got, it almost weirdly makes sense that he did punk out because he was this small added character in the final movie of the series. But thank you for the kind words!
@@TheGeekInformant understandable. it’s just the way how you fix David Gordon greens Halloween trilogy is so outstanding. I was wondering if you could also fix the Thorn trilogy and start a new timeline for Halloween 4
U know if u did these movies backwords, it would have been great. Halloween 2018 where Micheals breaks out of SG and comes across Corey Cunningham and slowly bringing the evil back to Hoddonfield. Halloween Kills which i would rename Halloween Night. Corey's dead but Micheal esxapes from burning house and the same plot of the second film ensues. Halloween Ends Which should just be the basic plot of the 2018 movie. Micheal returns from hiding to attack Haddonfeild once agian and comes face to face with Laure, has a long drawn out fight, then he dies and the town dump him in the grinder That would be better Trilogy 😮😊
Considering I do not like Halloween II that much, mainly because it's just a generic version of the first, as well as the god awful sibling twist, I felt that was a welcome subtraction. But to each his own.
@@TheGeekInformant The sibling twist wasn't that bad and it had quite the impact on the other 2 timelines and I really like Halloween 2. Original Halloween introduced me to the franchise but Halloween 2 made me a fan of it. But yeah that's just my opinion.
Well done, :D Omg Laurie sacrificing herself by k*lling Michael for good was the one thing I wanted out of Ends, your telling of Ends was what was needed. Wow, I pictured how it'll play out in my head. Very creative. And I like the final scene of Allison leaving Haddonfield for good since there's nothing left for her there, and of Corey rising like Michael / cut to black /breathing. Signifying you can't kill the boogeyman cause there's always one out there.
@@Komaedawriter261 Haha, thank you for being understanding. But I would definitely do it, it would just take A LOT of work. And probably wouldn't be seen for a while because it would take so long. I still very much appreciate your suggestion and interaction with the channel!
My only two complaints about Halloween 2018 is first the Myers house played no part in the movie, second it would've made more sense that Michael should've been sent to a prison rather than back at the mental institution considering the fact that he's an adult
@ they should have made that part non canon they can have the whole driving sequence where looks and Marion are talking but then it cuts back to the hospital that’s how they should have done it
@maniaxlives1126 In my own personal 'Halloween' headcanon, 'Halloween'[1978], 'Halloween 2'[1981], 'Halloween 3: Season of The Witch'(in my mind, the film seen playing on TV is an in-universe based-on-a-true-story movie about what happened in Haddonfield on 10-31-1978), 'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers', 'Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers', and 'Halloween: H20: 20 Years Later' are all canonical, there's an alternate 'Halloween 6' in which Jamie Lloyd doesn't die, and there's a story set in 2018 that would involve Laurie Strode, Jamie Lloyd, Billy Hill, John Tate, Molly Cartwell, Dr Loomis, and Daniel Challis going up against Michael('Halloween: Resurrection''s explanation of his survival would still count in this 'Halloween' canon), and bringing an end to the Cult of Thorn(which, in my mind, Conal Cochran and the people working for him were part of) and the Curse of Thorn, with Michael being freed from the Curse of Thorn and dying at the end. If my ideas were to be used by Trancas for future 'Halloween' projects, this would allow for many projects that could take place during the gap between 'Halloween: H20: 20 Years Later' and this hypothetical story set in 2018 that would be titled 'Halloween: The End of Michael Myers', and each of these stories that fill in said gap could involve Michael going after new characters. If you want to see these ideas come to fruition, please sign this petition. www.change.org/p/trancas-blumhouse-universal-miramax-and-netflix-fan-tips-for-the-future-of-the-halloween-property.
The Return-Michael breaks free The Revenge-Michael terrorises Haddonfield The Curse-Corey is carrying on the trauma Obviously couldn't be used, but actually fits pretty well
MY PITCH ☝🏽HALLOWEEN 2018 - Was fine, but I’d swap around the Laurie characterisations of 2018 & ‘Ends. It just makes sense HALLOWEEN KILLS - We have a bus of escaped psychos, so I’d have Michael not be the only killer. Soooo much potential with that one idea alone. HALLOWEEN ENDS - Twist! Michael was innocent😮 Not in the sense that he didn’t kill anyone. But back in ‘78 he freed the patients coz...They were victims of abuse & Michael knew. And THAT is the reason why Loomis wanted to keep him locked up, despite being silent & essentially catatonic. WHATDYATHINK???
I found an AWESOME fan edit that switches Halloween ends and kills, with using existing content and it’s pretty good, that only issue I see is since Karen died in the original Halloween kills, she’s not in ends, so the excuse for her not being in the new version of ends is that she could not bear the scars of haddonfield and leave town, it could be argued that Allyson chose to stay with Laurie but nothing is ever shown. All in all, it is a great fan edit and I think it’s worth checking out, it’s called Micheal Myers H40, btw great content👍
Now that's funny, I thought of the same thing about Halloween Lives sounding like a better title. Live=Evil? 🤔 I could spend all day explaining how i would have done the DGG trilogy different but the one hugely missed opportunity imo was at the end of H-Kills. Instead of Karen, that should have been Alyson Michael kills in Judith's old room, like Judith she was 17 and even resembled her. As Michael's staring out the window, he would be watching his six-year old self greeting his parents in the clown costume on Halloween night 1963. Everything would have come full circle and in a way it would have given Michael some kind of resurgence, like reclaiming his former glory. He got to do what he couldn't do during the events of '78 when he first escaped.
In this continuity, it is not. In Halloween Kills, there are flashbacks that show that Michael was arrested later on in the night and sent back to Smith's Grove unlike the events of Halloween II.
I think since the events take place in more than one day. And Haddonfield kinda became it's own character in the trilogy. Why not just call it "Haddonfield"? It would be recognisable. And distinct from the other movies in the franchise.
While I do think that would work, in the first film, I do change it to Halloween Lives. I personified the idea of Halloween. And I would've wanted that to be a theme throughout the whole trilogy, with Halloween killing, and Halloween ending. But, that could also work as a title.
@@TheGeekInformant I agree. That was one of the intents. But, mainly i feel subtitles should tell you what you need to know about the movie. First one is about The 3 generations of Strodes. 2nd one is about how the town is cursed with The Shape. 3rd is about ending that curse. Unlike Halloween: Ressurection. Where there was no ressurecting. Friday the 13th part 6 deserved that subtitle more i think.
Oh my I love this and while I love Halloween kills so much it does have its low points and the way you did kill’s especially with how it connects to ends and still connects with the previous film good too just makes it amazing. But I personally would still kill Aron when Dana died too but that’s just a personal preference. And I like how you put the 78 flashbacks from kills into 2018 and giving 2018 a proper title instead of just Halloween. I love also how each film feels different but also similar and in the same universe one of my biggest issues with ends is 2018 and kills feel connected and ends has no connection other than the characters. And just a lot that happened in ends made no sense. And the ending to your Halloween ends I love showing that evil can manifest itself in many different ways it’s like weeds you can stomp one out but another will always take it’s place. Plus having Michael not actually give his evil to Cory is much better and instead Cory be obsessed with Michael by thinking that he spared him on purpose where in actuality like you said Michael is random and I also love how smart you made Michael as well. You honestly got me really wishing they had done this instead of what we got. Halloween 2018 to me is the second best in the whole franchise right behind the original. Kills was stupid fun but the mob stuff was kinda much at times and the smiths grove patient part could have been left out and also I felt that there was no character development except for Hawkins and Laurie to an extent while the people actually fighting Michael didn’t change much from the end of the previous film. Then Halloween ends felt completely disconnected and was very confusing and the evil transformation from Michael to Corey is absolutely dumb but I do like the idea of a new shape and new evil but it should only rise when Michael dies. So you are very talented I absolutely loved this would love to see how you’d fix the thorn trilogy specifically fixing Halloween 5 and 6. Love your work man!
I have had that in the back of my head, to fix Halloween 5 and 6. But I wouldn't know where to start because at least with this, the ideas of greatness were there. They were just executed extremely poorly. Halloween 5 and 6 would have to be totally dumped out and done from scratch if I were to really do it my own way. I could maybe use some aspects in those movies for my own version, but there is pretty much nothing good in 5 and 6, so it's tougher lol. Thank you for the compliments, I very much appreciate it!
Just discovered the video. Interesting re-imagining of the trilogy. Far better structured that what we ultimately got. Personally I never minded Ends and actually felt like it was the most interesting of the 3. I had a slightly different interpretation of Corey and Michaels relationship. I have always seen it as a symbiotic relationship, beneficial to Michael rather than a psychic connection or outright transfer of evil between the two. It was established in kills ( poorly) that the more Michael kills the more he transcends into something supernatural and stronger. He bested the mob at the end of that film but not without taking a major beat down and several bullets. The homeless man in Ends tells Corey that sometimes Michael takes people underground and it's implied that the occasional killing is keeping him alive but he's too weak to go on the rampage. It's confirmed when Corey brings the cop to him and he starts to revive himself after killing him. I always interpreted it as Michael saw the darkness in Corey and knowing he wouldn't be able to get enough victims on his own, spared him. There is a great deal of emphasis put on Myers eyes throughout the trilogy. When Corey looks into them he's corrupted by the darkness because he was already venerable due to his experiences. I tend to look at Myers as a person and whatever drives him as separate entities. In other words, Myers is trying to survive and using Corey as insurance for victims but whatever drives Myers is looking for a new host hence Corey being corrupted. I don't think Myers ever intended on Corey taking his place and would probably off him as soon as he was revitalized but Corey got to big for his britches and tried to overthrow Michael hence the stealing his mask and going on a killing spree..
It's never shown and never explained. Mainly, it's adding to the mystery of what happened between Michael and Corey. Would Michael favor a new Shape? Or would he fight back? Obviously he lives so Michael wouldn't kill him but who knows? As well as the idea that at the time, the audience might've thought that Michael killed Corey. Another big reason for the change was the very awkward fight scene in the Halloween Ends we got that many fans complained about. So might as well cut the scene entirely, although mainly because it's under a different context. But due to the fact it also makes sense for what I'm going for, it all works.
I tend to think of of this trilogy EXACTLY how you described: 1 Great, 2 Mediocre Filler & 3 Unwatchable and not even a Halloween movie... Your description is 100% dead on
What are your headfanfic ideas IF Halloween Ends still sets in the *same* night/morning-before-dawn just after Kills immediately left off? edit: i also blame Covid; without this pandemic, they could've filming Kills & Ends _back-to-back_ - No time jump and No Corey subplot. Just focus on the intense final showdown between Laurie and much stronger Michael.
Not sure. It would be so completely different. I think Laurie would be more violent, Corey would almost become a non character since his evil couldn't just evolve that quickly, and that sort of thing. It would be similar with some concepts, but I would have to change A LOT to make that idea work.
@@TheGeekInformant So, the industrial shredder finale where most Haddonfield citizens came to witness Michael's execution makes even more sense, had they filmed Ends with Kills back-to-back. Also, the filmmakers originally wanted to kill Lindsey... *if they had more time* . Which supported the theory that if they managed to continue where Kills left off immediately, Lindsey Wallace who survived in Kills was supposed to die in (one-night) Ends.
@Anti SJW All of them sound interesting. 🤔🙂 Gotta love many AU-Canon Divergence fanfics of Halloween '18 by some fans bc there're many alternate paths to choose and how they played out differently. ☝🏻 (except *Michael x OC* type of fanfics, that's just... 🤮🙄)
While i love what you have described, the "Myers" fans as opposed to "Halloween" fans would never accept it. For 2 Reasons- 1-Nobody but Michael can be the boogeyman 2-Not enough screen time for Michael in Kills They dont care if the film makes sense, is well written, has great cimematography and acting. All they want is Michael front and centre killing everything in sight and being unbeatable Its a shame, but thats the reality. But great work
Imo 1 thing would fix the trilogy dont kill Cameron in kills and replace Corey with Cameron in ends and the whole trilogy comes together better and makes more sense
That was an idea I considered but I liked the idea of a separate character becoming an outcast, and having him be this weird introvert. I feel like Cameron is too much of this jock douchebag to really make that work, with what was established in the first film. Because I didn't want to change too much of the first film out of the small things I mentioned.
I despise this Trilogy David Gordon Green basically jerked off Carpenter by giving him everything he wanted no sibling angle, getting rid of supernatural powers but bringing them back for some reason and lastly killing off Michael
I can see that. But I wanted to showcase The Shape as a concept, an idea. Carpenter always stated that The Shape was not a man, but the personification of the ultimate evil. And I feel like the idea of The Shape being a continual persistence of constant evil that was somehow brought about, was interesting. I get that people want it to END end. And that's fine. In your head canon for this video, just have it cut after she leaves Haddonfield, and boom there ya go. But for me, I like the idea that Michael is not the only Shape and will continue as long as humanity exists.
The first one was OK the second was meh! and the third was utter diarhea in fact my faviroute part of that entire trilogy was the flashback scenes in HK ...I'd always wished we'd get a film set just after the events of the first film and stay in that time period and it looks as though that's what's happening with the new "Haddonfield" tv show ..0:54..I wish to god that they'd just went ahead and made Halloween Returns instead of what we got ..the script for it is online and its awesome we can only hope the tv show is great
@@oneironaut420 The setting, music, and cinematography are very good, but the rest of it is just a gorier, watered down version of the original. It's the typical B grade schlock that Halloween launched. It's not bad, but it's eh, okay at best.
Nice video. Ok…so my thoughts on Ends have changed after a couple years. I initially said the movie should not exist, was a slap in the face to the true fans, and is an abomination to the franchise. I stand by that it’s a slap in the face given it’s placement in the “trilogy” or “quadrilogy” but I’ll take back the abomination and shouldn’t exist parts. However….this movie as is should absolutely 100% not have been the finale to these particular installments. You can keep ALMOST all elements to this movie, but the ending that I wanted was Corey DEAD, Laurie DEAD, Alyson DEAD, and yes, Michael DEAD. My ending was the kitchen fight scene but obviously longer and more brutal….my changes….Laurie, while hiding in the pantry, grabs a mason jar of home grown jarred “ghost” peppers that Lindsey brought over earlier in the movie and slams it in Michael’s face breaking the jar. Michael is now temporarily blinded by the pepper juice and glass shards and holding his face. Laurie takes the remainder of sharp, broken jar in her hand and stabs it into Michael’s face/cheek area. Michael stumbles back and slowly, and seemingly painlessly removes the jar from his face. No longer blinded, the fight is ON. Michael severely injures Laurie in multiple ways, slamming her, breaking her nose, stabbing her, choking her, and Laurie delivers damage to Michael as well. Michael sustains multiple stab wounds during this fight, bleeding profusely. Michael keeps coming though. So does Laurie, even though she has taken so much damage. Like in the original, Alyson comes back, enters the fight, saves her grandmother but Michael bests her as well, killing her in a blurry manner with a camera view that is from Laurie’s POV, but not before Laurie can deliver one last knife to Michael…in his femoral artery. Michael then kills Laurie as she gazes upon Alyson’s lifeless body by putting his boot on her throat and pressing down slowly, almost as a mercy killing as she is obviously dying from the battle damage.. Michael, breathing heavily, pulls the knife out of his leg. We see blood GUSHING from his leg. He exits the house. Halloween theme starts. Camera follows him slowly walking down the street. A Blood trail and bloody footprints follow until Michael sits down on a random bench on a haddonfield sidewalk as he lays the knife down beside him. Music stops. We see his blood pooling up around his leg on the sidewalk. We now not only hear the breathing but we SEE his warm breath just a tad in the cool night air until….the breathing suddenly stops and so does the visual of the breath. After some time, Police arrive after seeing what they think is someone who’s had too much to drink on Halloween night only to see the blood and realize hat it is indeed the one and only Michael Myers. One cop thinks he’s dead, stating he’s not breathing (h2 homage). The other cop says “hey, don’t you remember 2018?!” The other cop “well yeah, and?” Then, after a brief pause, the other cop says “so we’re not taking anymore chances with this motherfcker. This is for haddonfield”. The camera catches a quick glimpse of Officer TRAMER’s name plate as he points, aims, and shoots the already seemingly dead Michael Myers in the side of the head. His lifeless body falls to the ground in a pool of his own blood and brain matter, even more blood now spewing from his head. Halloween theme resumes as the camera zooms in on his blown out , bloody mask/head. Michael IS DEAD. They are ALL dead. End credits.
As much as I love to see justice for Ben Tramer, I think him walking away and the reason he dies is just getting stabbed and shot is too little for Michael. Plus, him dying on a random park bench is innately funny to me. Plus, I think it might be a bit too much. I know it's a horror movie but having everyone dead with no proper epilogue is just too mean spirited. I prefer a bittersweet ending with the initial evil dead, and Laurie sacrificing herself to save everyone, but showing that evil can never die, and Allyson living a life away from Haddonfield shows a proper combination of bitter and sweet. But that's just me. Interesting idea, but people would be just as pissed at the ending you suggested.
Great fan fiction !!! But for me Michael has to kill Karen 'cause It would reinforce Laurier's hatred for Michael and the fact that now she has to kill him because it's not fair between her and him anymore. He took her daughter's life.
No it wasn't. The original pitch was two films, but then it was changed to one film. Mainly because Blum, Green and McBride wanted to wait until the one movie came out and see the reaction before they decided to do sequels. Do *your* research before acting like a know-it-all, jackass.
Trilogy is dogshit. No fixing it. DGG might be one of the most overrated directors I've seen. Too bad Marcus Dunstan never got to take a stab at Halloween Returns.
@The Geek Informant Yeah, and the movie might have been bad. But after watching the entire Green trilogy again recently, I can't help but wish I could have seen what he would have done. Scripts can be changed. And I'm not a fan of Green at all. The only scary moments in the entire thing happened in 2018, the other 2 were devoid of any scares. He had no clue how to create tension. Suspense was apparently not in his wheelhouse, even blowing what could have been the best scene in 2018, when "The Shape (almost) hunts Allyson." I guess he forgot to include the actual chase part. They come off borderline incompetent, with sudden, jarring inconsistencies in tone and good actors delivering awkward perfomances thanks to piss poor writing and lazy directing. I genuinely laugh at many serious scenes. Is that what they wanted? I dont do that with something like, say, Halloween 4. With so much talent involved, I can only blame Green and his team of writers for delivering such a goofy trilogy. It's a real shame.
@@SomethingThatSCREAMS I love 2018, but I'm not gonna act like Kills and Ends are anything great. As I said in the video, Kills is an enjoyable romp and Ends had a lot of good ideas but very poorly executed. It's a mish mash mess of films that I probably won't return to any time soon. The Exorcist: Believer is already getting bombed at test screenings, so I think people might be wising up that Green is not a good horror filmmaker. At least to you, me, and people who admit that the reboot trilogy was exceptionally flawed.
@The Geek Informant What really burns my beans about it is that it's likely the last we will ever see of anything tied to the original film. There are no do-overs, and they gave control of the films to the wrong creative team. They also came off as arrogant in my opinion, by asking us to ignore every sequel it's as if these were the "real sequels." 🤮 No thanks. I'll stick to 2-6 or H20 over these.
@@SomethingThatSCREAMS Considering the only truly great sequels are 4 and 2018, it's kinda hard to really go towards any timeline. At least for me. 2 is a generic slasher and introduced the god awful sibling twist, 3 is very good but has some noticeable flaws, 5 and 6 are hot fucking garbage, H20 is like if the CW made a Halloween movie, and Resurrection is just a Friday the 13th movie with Halloween branding. Haven't seen the remake or its sequel.
But swap a around 2 & 3 Halloween is just making no2 rubbin insaid of no3 rubbin so it wouldn't be any difference I wasn't want Corey living he a shit person in the film

@@Optimegatrongodzilla It does. George planned the story. But then the plans changed. It's that simple.
Dya know what I like about your “fix”?
The Whodunnit aspect turns Halloween in an old skool Slasher. The same kind of Slashers Halloween gave birth to.
So have old and angry Michael in ends slowly ramping his violence and brutality up throughout the movie, I dig it
That was really good! Felt much more cohesive and came full circle. You need to be in those writing rooms!
Well, now that they're on strike, maybe I'll have a chance! lol jk
Great job! Seriously this had more depth & purpose in storytelling than how they shoehorned Kills & Ends
Thank you very much! That means a lot!
Thanks very much!
How to fix the Halloween Reboot trilogy
Step 1: Make Michael Myers the primary antagonist in Halloween Ends
Step 2: There is no step 2
Trust me, there's a lot more problems with Halloween Ends than just that. Lol
Thank you very very much! That means so so much!

This was really excellent man. Well done. I know I’m late to the party. This would’ve been such a better trilogy. So much more thought out and creative. They clearly didn’t know what they were doing after that first movie. Great work!
It's never too late to enjoy! Especially when Spooky Season is right around the corner! Thank you for the kind words.
I loved ends and I loved 6 both versions and ends reminded me of a late 90s horror movie and inlove 90s horror movies and or also reminded me of 6
We already have our trilogy. This is called a tragedy.
Congratulations for having a different opinion than most of the people who watched this video! Do you want a cookie?
Fuck I wanna see your trilogy dude!

Am I the only person who actually enjoys the Cult of Thorn plot?
Nah, there's tons of people who do. It's more mixed than anything. I don't get it, but if you like it, more power to ya.
LOVE your ideas!!! Its just crazy much better than what we ended up with
Thanks very much!
This is video is so good that I watch it once a week.
Thank you for contributing to my channel growth! I'm glad you like it so much!
Could you make more of this but with the thorn trilogy?
Enjoyed this. Well conceived and dare I say logical.
Above all, nailed the end. Laurie definitely should have gone down with her monster like Loomis did...a sacrificial hero instead of a crazily overpowered one. Also, Corey 1000% should have risen up or disappeared (ANYTHING other than just punking out) after all the setup done for him.
And here it would be better because there was MORE buildup to him being a threat. In the actual movie we got, it almost weirdly makes sense that he did punk out because he was this small added character in the final movie of the series.
But thank you for the kind words!
How would you fix Halloween 5 (1989), Halloween: Resurrection (2002) and Rob ‘s Halloween II (2009)?
Halloween 5 is gonna need to be a whole separate video.
Halloween: Resurrection just needs to not be made.
And I haven't seen RZ's Halloween II.
Damn good my friend!! Perfectly told!! Great job!! Put it into book form and I would purchase it from you, excellent job!!

Halloween Ends
Which should just be the basic plot of the 2018 movie. Micheal returns from hiding to attack Haddonfeild once agian and comes face to face with Laure, has a long drawn out fight, then he dies and the town dump him in the grinder
That would be better Trilogy 😮😊

I love these ideas! Wish you had the ability to make these. Id replace my set with this set any day
My biggest problem with the trilogy, besides the awfulness of Halloween Ends, is not including Halloween 2 in it.
Exactly what I was going for. Thank you for your praise! I'm glad you liked it!
“And Judith”
Could you make more of this but with the halloween thorn trilogy?
I've considered it! But it would pretty much involve me changing the ENTIRETY of Halloween 5 and Halloween 6. Because they are both atrocious.

My only two complaints about Halloween 2018 is first the Myers house played no part in the movie, second it would've made more sense that Michael should've been sent to a prison rather than back at the mental institution considering the fact that he's an adult
They should have left Halloween 2 cannon because that would’ve made sense that the whole town is traumatized after the hospital massacre
But then there's the sibling twist, which sucks.
@ they should have made that part non canon they can have the whole driving sequence where looks and Marion are talking but then it cuts back to the hospital that’s how they should have done it
Interesting stuff, again I can't wait to see more horror rewrites especially perhaps the Thorn Trilogy,
@maniaxlives1126
In my own personal 'Halloween' headcanon, 'Halloween'[1978], 'Halloween 2'[1981], 'Halloween 3: Season of The Witch'(in my mind, the film seen playing on TV is an in-universe based-on-a-true-story movie about what happened in Haddonfield on 10-31-1978), 'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers', 'Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers', and 'Halloween: H20: 20 Years Later' are all canonical, there's an alternate 'Halloween 6' in which Jamie Lloyd doesn't die, and there's a story set in 2018 that would involve Laurie Strode, Jamie Lloyd, Billy Hill, John Tate, Molly Cartwell, Dr Loomis, and Daniel Challis going up against Michael('Halloween: Resurrection''s explanation of his survival would still count in this 'Halloween' canon), and bringing an end to the Cult of Thorn(which, in my mind, Conal Cochran and the people working for him were part of) and the Curse of Thorn, with Michael being freed from the Curse of Thorn and dying at the end.

I would've gone for *HALLOWEEN: RISES* or *HALLOWEEN: NIGHT*
Halloween Rises would've been good!
The Return-Michael breaks free
The Revenge-Michael terrorises Haddonfield
The Curse-Corey is carrying on the trauma
Obviously couldn't be used, but actually fits pretty well
MY PITCH ☝🏽HALLOWEEN 2018 - Was fine, but I’d swap around the Laurie characterisations of 2018 & ‘Ends. It just makes sense
HALLOWEEN KILLS - We have a bus of escaped psychos, so I’d have Michael not be the only killer.
I really do not like the idea of Michael being sympathetic. It's certainly intriguing but that majorly goes against his character.
one of the best "re-writes" I've seen, would have been a great trilogy.
Thank you very much!
Have you considered doing a similar fix for Halloween 5 & 6 or H20 and Resurrection?
I don't care enough about those movies to do it. But maybe eventually if I'm struggling with ideas lol
I love these ideas
What I’d give to see your versions of these movies
Maybe I can underpay some animator and voice actors to make it for me. LOL

@@TheGeekInformant all men were portrayed as cheaters losers and weak woke crap
Loomis was the series not her band members scarier than jocks
Now that's funny, I thought of the same thing about Halloween Lives sounding like a better title. Live=Evil? 🤔
I could spend all day explaining how i would have done the DGG trilogy different but the one hugely missed opportunity imo was at the end of H-Kills.
Let me have 100 percent control over Ends and the whole trilogy would be badass

Awesome 👍
love the ideas good stuff
Isn’t “Halloween 2” technically canon since it’s set in the same night as “Halloween (1978)”?
@@TheGeekInformant what about the The Strode trilogy?:
1-Strode
2-Strode 2: Haddonfield's curse
3-Strode 3: Darkness falls
@@TheVarietyVendor Doesn't have the same... umph as Halloween. But the subtitles are good albeit a bit generic.
@@TheVarietyVendor I mean, Michael sorta got resurrected. In sort of a meta/out of universe sense. But I get what you're saying.
This is brillant. I would guy this version on blueray.
Thanks very much!
Ends had a lot of really interesting ideas, but I felt they were executed rather poorly is all.
I like this
I would watch it
So I have a question how do you imagine Corey gets the mask to kill Karen?
It's never shown and never explained. Mainly, it's adding to the mystery of what happened between Michael and Corey. Would Michael favor a new Shape? Or would he fight back? Obviously he lives so Michael wouldn't kill him but who knows? As well as the idea that at the time, the audience might've thought that Michael killed Corey.
Another big reason for the change was the very awkward fight scene in the Halloween Ends we got that many fans complained about. So might as well cut the scene entirely, although mainly because it's under a different context. But due to the fact it also makes sense for what I'm going for, it all works.
Fire 🔥
Not sure how a RUclipsr can write a better trilogy than ppl who get paid to write trilogy’s
Ummm... The power of hindsight? Idk, giving myself that much credit feels weird to me. 🤣
Nice! I like it.
I tend to think of of this trilogy EXACTLY how you described: 1 Great, 2 Mediocre Filler & 3 Unwatchable and not even a Halloween movie... Your description is 100% dead on
And I'm forgiving over the other two movies. I enjoy Kills for what it is and Ends had a lot of really great ideas with poor execution.
Nailed it
They did that horseshit on purpose so that any other Halloween movie comes after it will be automatically great.

Good!
While i love what you have described, the "Myers" fans as opposed to "Halloween" fans would never accept it.
For 2 Reasons-
1-Nobody but Michael can be the boogeyman
2-Not enough screen time for Michael in Kills
They dont care if the film makes sense, is well written, has great cimematography and acting. All they want is Michael front and centre killing everything in sight and being unbeatable
Its a shame, but thats the reality. But great work
Fair point lol
Tbf, the sibling angle was stupid back in 1981 and is still stupid now.
Nice video. Like where your head is at.
Thanks very much!
This trilogy concept is really good, my only complaint is bringing back Corey. The terror has to definitely end at some point.
Paused the video to ask, does everyone still scream “EVIL DIES TONIGHT?!” Every 5 minutes?! Jk
Lol no.
good video
Thank you!
Youve come so far
Lol, thanks!
Add corey as a side character in 2018 or kills and that's the only change that needs to be made. They are perfect to me otherwise.
I second that!
The first one was OK the second was meh! and the third was utter diarhea in fact my faviroute part of that entire trilogy was the flashback scenes in HK ...I'd always wished we'd get a film set just after the events of the first film and stay in that time period and it looks as though that's what's happening with the new "Haddonfield" tv show ..0:54..I wish to god that they'd just went ahead and made Halloween Returns instead of what we got ..the script for it is online and its awesome we can only hope the tv show is great
Halloween Again
Sounds too cheesy and a bit more parody than not.
Here's how you fix it. Skip it and just watch Halloween and Halloween 2.
Or just the first and never get a resolution and Michael will forever be a phantom in the night. At least that's my preferred ending.
@@TheGeekInformant true but the reveal is really the only part that ruins H2. The rest of it is pretty creepy and fitting with the first movie.
Biggest problem is all movies have the same fucking poster
I can kinda see what they were going for, but yea, kinda boring.
I like your version better it makes more sense
Great fan fiction !!! But for me Michael has to kill Karen 'cause It would reinforce Laurier's hatred for Michael and the fact that now she has to kill him because it's not fair between her and him anymore. He took her daughter's life.
if its not broke , why "fix" it? ( hell , you cant polish a turd either) ...there , thats A LOT better
I can't tell if you're complimenting the video or hating it. Whatever it is, thanks for the engagement!
It was a trilogy from the beginning, not greenlit after the success of the first one. Do your research if you are going to do a video on it
No it wasn't. The original pitch was two films, but then it was changed to one film. Mainly because Blum, Green and McBride wanted to wait until the one movie came out and see the reaction before they decided to do sequels.
Do *your* research before acting like a know-it-all, jackass.
I really like halloween kills, it shows evil and anger controlling amd consuming normal people
Eh some good ideas but a couple of failures
No need to fix it. Simply watch the original movie.
I mean, yes, the 1978 film will always reign supreme, but I just think I had some better ideas in regards to the trilogy we were given.
Trilogy is dogshit. No fixing it. DGG might be one of the most overrated directors I've seen. Too bad Marcus Dunstan never got to take a stab at Halloween Returns.
Considering the script for Halloween Returns was pretty bad as well, I'm very glad we didn't get that.
Who of.
But swap a around 2 & 3 Halloween is just making no2 rubbin insaid of no3 rubbin so it wouldn't be any difference I wasn't want Corey living he a shit person in the film
I don't swap around 2 and 3. I just take some ideas that I liked from Ends and put them into my own version of Kills and Ends. That's all.
