@@uros7320 True. I am an EU player but the personalities from NA were just way more entertaining. Even though that era is long gone, you guys got your swan song with Boston 2018 finals, arguably the greatest major final ever.

@@Wayzerr Exactly, good times indeed. I've long moved on from CS:GO. Even though the game is bigger than ever now, IMHO its peak was back in 2015-2018. I was LEM back then, but now I sporadically play the game just to mess around with my buddies in silver. Nowadays I only watch guys like ohnepixel and 3kliksphilip. But when I feel like shit, I still just click on an old NA compilation to laugh my ass off.

Early CS has a charm to it, but idk what it was because I see so many clips today like the door stuck nuke clip that are just as good, yet don't have that same feel. Maybe it's nostalgia? Maybe it's the terrible bitrate? Maybe the maps/gun sounds/etc...?

Tarik was actually pretty good
for as memorable as this was, i remember how dreadful it was for na, eu, and other pro scenes to be seperate.
it showed on stage, in players moods, in their lives, and changed manys lives for the greater today. making them legendary players, streamers, and now gaming icons...
these funny moments were rather a compensation for the dread that occurred from under these moments. many of these angry moments alone were such, and just laughed at later (so it was more of again, a yt time thing, as many others like or even before that...)
it was a huge improvement for all pros to come together to compete within faceit, and be it away from toxic casuals. that still became an issue for people who got into high lvl faceit and then there became fpl.
now it seems most who left were just dried out from having to wait too long to compete at an all time high level all the time, constantly trying to be better than the already arising better...
and soon they became tired of the competition and wanted the fun they found throughout that time, that gave them the best moments, but was rarely seen...
its even shown through streamers viewer retention, and after 2018, its how most people form their platforms, and soon grow...
people find niches now and abuse it no matter how unrealistic and different it is from the actual past moments with those ecstatic feelings... theyd rather portray a false image of something, to get the same reward, but not have to actually achieve it... especially if they cant find that same magic if they tried...

no one is getting GE now, 90% of the player base is in GN because of cheaters and GN games are filled with them
