I wonder how much the thin part on the bottom of the edges and corners matter. If they’re not that important, it would probably be pretty easy to cut it off then 3d print a part to go inside the circle on the core piece, and that would make it much stronger.

I have the exact same problem with gan skewb and its corners. I have 3 gan skewbs and one more still in its packaging in case my main one breaks :D

I’ve had my MGC Square-1 for about a year now, aaaannnd right off the first 3 months of using it, 2 corners broke (not even bent they literally broke), and the screw doesn’t work. While the cube does still feel great, the number of lockups I get (especially during cube shape) are one too many. It’s gotten so bad, that I’ve really considered switching to my modded Yuxin Little Magic, which isn’t too much worse than the MGC imo.

I have broken about 3-4 of the core pieces and I have to tighten it quite a bit so I dont lock up and have pieces pop out a little

I’m not even that fast at squan (sub 30) but one of my mgc edges just broke. Hope superglue can temporarily fix it :(

Got my MGC replaced so now I have a PVC Exoshield Cosmic MGC Sq-1 that I made maglev. Still my main after 7 months of it not breaking.

Can a fully modded and magnet added yuxin little magic square 1 be better than the mgc square 1? Because volt square 1 breaks often and so as mgc. So is yuxin good than mgc after modding?

My MGC has broken way too much up to the point that I’d get a major lockup every other solve, so I modded my Yuxin Little Magic, and it’s not all that bad compared to the MGC (though you do have to tighten it a little more)

Had mine for 11 months, and idk what my issue is, but I disassembled it and then reassembled it.. and now the tensions on the U and D layers are off. I use bumblebee yellow top, and the yellow (U) layer is fine but the black (D) layer is super loose. If I tension it sometimes the losseness switches sides to yellow. If I pull apart the squan from the sides, the gap between the equator is different on the red and orange sides too. If I pull on the middle layer, the red side has a large gap whereas the orange is super tight. I’m just confused :(
