      Sometimes its hard to do the right thing, but in this case it was dangerous too. I wish her everything good in life. I hope she has a good daddy because shes really going to need support. They'll call her as a witness in the trial.

      @@BeingConformed I've heard them call Cole her step dad. He had a son that died in 2020 and he has another son and daughter but I dont believe the 15 year old is his.

      ⁠@@thehammer810able Yes! Veronica was engaged, just being a good mom, trying to get her two babies back… & Jillian was married (for years) to a pastor she had four children with. It’s heartbreaking! 💔 Such a terrible, senseless tragedy! Lives were taken, & many others torn apart by the loss of loved ones (in the worst way). I hope the children and families are getting all the support & love they need. 🌼

      I've heard quite a bit about her. It's extremely sad that she was collateral damage and I feel terrible for her and her family, but if not for Veronica being the target, Jillian would be alive and well. The whole thing is just devastating.

    The Judge involved stated on TV that he is a friend of one of them. That is probably why the weird custody situation. He needs to be investigated.

      What do you want him to say? He can’t give you details about the case. That’s still covered by privilege. What has he shared: 1. His client was very nice. 2. She was diligent and came with 4 folders of stuff for him to use. 3. She was in constant communication with him because it was such an acrimonious case. 4. There was about to be a hearing. 5. He was trying to help her and felt she had a strong case.
      He’s obviously upset that his client has been murdered.

      @@momof1576 Agreed. As a family law attorney, I can share that we do not control the law. Many times if we share concerns about a client's safety, the judge can't do anything unless the other party has a record of violence. The violent grandmother is to blame.

    There is some serious evil at work here. Im a Mimi myself and i absolutely adore my grandchildren. I would definitely die for them but i wouldnt kill anyone for them...short of a dire situation of self defense of course. I just cant wrap my mind around taking away their mother...the most important person in a young childs life.

    The lawyer seems to be speaking very carefully and doesn't have much to say, negatively, about the grandma. Heard on the news that some people were afraid to speak much about the suspects and that some of the suspects had influence in the area.

    The attorney chooses not to give details but I’d like to know why this custody battle would’ve been so complicated. Any competent judge would want custody determinations to be done in a timely manner for the sake of the children. Dragging this out for years was inexcusable in my opinion.

      What I heard is the Mom couldn’t find work where they all lived because the grandma sabotaged the mom. The grandma made up false claims against the mom so she had to move to find employment to take care of her kids. And because she wasn’t employed the grandma went to court and got temporary custody of the kids. The mom did very well and was working to get the kids and grandma was not going to let that happen! She wasn’t even going to let her own son have custody! She told him with a gun to his head that he will never get those kids from her.

There are plenty of parents that move even to another country with kids to start from zero. Leaving them with the crazy grandma wasn’t even needed. But I think she said she had contacts in law enforcement, who knows.

      Because her ex's mom didn't want her daughter-in-law to raise her grandkids and did everything in her power to keep her from.them. it was basically her ego and the fact that she wasn't gonna let go. She even threatened her son while he was not part of their life, and said her son wasn't coming back to get them.

    That grandmother didn’t even raise her own child right….what judge gave this grandmother custody of these children in the first place? Anyone else would have been a better person to have a temporary custody….this grandmother should have never been given those children and the court system never should have made this mother have to go battle this grandmother to get her children back. Don’t pay attention to this “group” stuff….this was the grandmother’s doing…this was her plan and she only had these other people help her carry out her plan….the fact they were in this “group” had nothing to do with this….this would have been carried out even if none of these people were in that “group”.

      DCS deals with visits. Not the attorney. Attorneys set up court hearings, not visitation.

      Veronica had every right to fight for custody. Her attorney was tasked to request a change in custody - he wouldn't have had any way to predict that grandma would kill her and the court appointed supervisor. How awful to put the blame on a family court attorney doing the job they've been hired to do! What is wrong with you? The people who caused this have been arrested, all 4 of the lunatics. Veronica's lawyer is guilty of absolutely nothing.

      The other lady was there to supervise/witness the exchange. She has her own kid(s) and not a direct part of this custody issue.

      I'm sure the FBI has her in protective custody. They knew what they were walking into, they monitor cult groups. They showed up in full SWAT so I am confident they're keeping the minor witness safe.
