Easily one of the most exciting lens developments of the year. Looking forward to see this being paired in the coming years, especially with the Alexa 35
That lens would go great on my camera. Fuji X-T3 + Wooden Camera X Mount to PL Mount Adapter (Pro) + HZK 25-1000mm f/2.8-5
perfect for street photography
I preorder 6 of these they are excellent. We work on a set at Disney this will be perfect for what we are working on.
What a bargain at only $250k USD! Think about all the creative possibilities it gives I am sure all big leagues stadium operators will order one soon than later. At end of the day, 250k can't even pay for 5sec ads in premiere league or one top player salary.
Haha, right? Who will be the first RUclipsr to buy and unbox this?
But seriously, back in the day this is what equipment cost (adjusted for inflation). I think CineD is just geeking out.
haha, "cinematic" football match, at f5.0 with 1000mm filmed from the pitch-side, players further away than 2m from the one being followed will be called "bokeh"😅
Just pre-ordered two for my 300 subs channel ;).
Oh god, what a beast of a lens!
They said it was impossible to do for a full frame sensor to get a broadcast box lens. If only I can see those engineers faces now.
anything is possible if you are willing to pay for it
exactly... there nothing impossible about this... it is just expensive... and note that even tho it looks similar it has no where near the reach of 2/3" Fujinon 4K Premier UHD UA107X8.4. Which goes upto 900mm which is about 4000mm full frame equivalent.
Put a 90 degree plate on there and it'll be perfect for Instagrammers and Tik-toks.
😂
I want two!!!
as an aside... its interesting how fuji was able to transition from the film era, while kodak didnt survive
Yeah let's not talk about how the Fuji Film division keeps killing film stock after film stock while also destroying decades of R&D instead of selling it so that nobody else can make it.
game changer
Cine-cast lens!
1000mm f5 😳😳😳
ummmmmm, is that glass stack apochromatic? 🤤
Free sample?
only f/2.8 is little bit dissapointing
lol. 😂
horrible i know... and it goes down to f/5 at the end of the zoom range.
If it has the same or not so much more expensive than B4 equivalent, It will literally kill all broadcast camera.
Did u see Panasonic AK-PLV100? Put the Fujinon HZK 25-1000 will basically change the Broadcast Industry 📹
@@smilesprouniverse Oh wait....that's a PL mount studio cam ? Ok, these two will change the industry.
It won't. Zoom range is just 40x, that's not enough for lots of applications, sports often use 100x or 111x. And the shallow depth of field is not something you want for all situations, especially sports. But for concerts and events it's definitely an interesting option.
Not at all... Firstly this has about 4x shorter range than traditional 100x zoom box lens (which are about 4000mm full frame eq.). Second issue is depth of field. If you shooting at the end of the zoom range at 40-50m, at f/5 you are getting only about 70cm depth of field... which is not horrible it can be pain for sports.
It is a new tool... nothing more, it provides new options to bring new look into the broadcasts. But the backbone of the production will still be on traditional 2/3" cameras.
@@jeffsaffron5647 dang! I forgot the multiplier !
If you care how much it costs it is not for you.
