I think I remember seeing this movie the very first time in my life that I remember was back in 2001 when my school had put on both this movie and a play that we made using the soundtrack from this film while still following the book after we had finished reading that, too.

When the distribution rights to this movie lapsed in 1977, Paramount declined to renew, considering it not viable. The rights defaulted back to the Quaker Oats Company, which was no longer involved with the film business, and therefore sold them to Warner Bros. for $500,000.

I really miss the VHS tape I had that my grandma got for me. It’s too bad we had to give our VHS player and VHS tapes of the film and the others that day, I really wish I could get the movies back.

The 50th anniversary Blu-Ray, 4K and digital releases of this movie from earlier this year has finally restored original 1968 Paramount logo, because Paramount released this movie originally before WB owns it in 1977.

Just like Wizard of Oz and the 60s Batman were both currently owned by WB

The 50th anniversary release of this movie which is now on Blu-Ray, 4K and digital has finally restored the 1968 Paramount logo, because Paramount originally produced this movie theatrically, and on NBC airings during the 1970’s.

Brendan Harrison. Prime Video has the original owned version. But you have to buy or rent it.

strange how they show the 1999 promo for the Wizard of Oz on this VHS since it was still on Videocassette and DVD at that time!

And no magic is allowed to be used on school grounds, that was really deleted from that scene where he introduces himself to the students.

I don’t think the tape I owned had the previews on it, but I do remember between the bumper reminding the viewer to stay tuned after the film for that bonus feature and right before it starts, the only difference is how the Warner Bros. logo is the same Family Entertainment version that shows Bugs eating a carrot at the end of the video here.
