This is a GREAT song that I heard on a southern AM Station skipping into NYC in 1954 or 55. But I'm sure it was written and recorded at the height of the (very justified) federal hearings on the USCP and the espionage which had occured.

For the record, when this song was created in 1952 the national debt was 250 Billion dollars. In 2024 it is nearly 35 Trillion dollars. A 1400x increase in debt and they were complaining about it in the 50's.
