The v star markers are just for you to put on the game mat when you use a v star power, because you can only use 1 per game. It's not mandatory but can help avoid confusion

Fun fact: the code cards signal to if you get a holo or better. A black bordered code card means that in the rare slot you are guaranteed a holo or better. If it’s a white bordered card you will only get a regular rare but you can still get certain rare cards in the reverse holo slot
@TheWorldRevolvesAroundAnime yeah. It kinda worked the opposite way for me one time. I got a white bordered code and thought I wasn’t going to get anything so I didn’t bother putting three in the front. Then out of nowhere I got an alt art mimikyu vmax in the reverse holo slot.

A great way to start is to save up 60 dollars and set a goal for yourself. Maybe set a card as a goal, or set a specific deck as a goal. Or maybe your goal is to open 200 booster packs. Make something fun and interesting!
