Putting aside traditional farming methods, Nemichand Dhaker from Rajasthan embraced modern farming techniques to double his income. In this video, we will learn how Nemichand transformed his farming practices, from the smallest scale to a large-scale operation, using advanced methods like micro-irrigation, drip irrigation, and multi-crop cultivation on a single plot of land.
He learned about these innovative techniques from local agricultural officers. Starting with just 8-9 acres, he expanded to 18-20 acres. His land now includes 4 acres of guava, 3-4 acres of strawberries, and 2 acres of mangoes. Additionally, he started a nursery where he grows guava, mango, custard apple, amla, and strawberry plants. The production cost is 2-3 lakhs, while his savings amount to 4-5 lakhs. On just one acre, he produces 5,000 packs of 2 kg strawberries.
