Another really good video. Other tutorials fail to mention the sort order requirement. I struggled for nearly a week until I finally discovered a paragraph on page 13 of the RAKF User Guide. And suddenly it worked. Another tip for new users: don't get rid of unnecessary spaces, because they are absolutely necessary here.
I usually just do a 'S RAKFUSER' at the MVS console to reload the RAKF user table, as described on page 19 in the TK4- documentation. No need to stop and start RAKF.
Wow, talk about the things that modern TSO users take for granted. I would have thought, there was a way for an individual to change their own password using RAKF.
I liked the console so much I simply put ./unattended/set_console_mode as the first line of the mvs command.. great video Also looking forward to update 9 for tk4-.
...how do I get that status window that's on the left, if my tk4 is running in a docker container on a remote host? also, what terminal emulator are you using there. I normally use x3270 on linux (or in a WSL session on windows)...

In IBM's case the operators is based in Czechia so they could easily get in troubles.

Hello! A question: at 3.19 how do you exit the account command in MVS? oh, and another question: does anybody know of a tutorial for the text editor? It seems to have a lot of features. -- edit -- In SYS2.HELP there's a dataset (?) called REVEDIT. This seems to be what I'm looking for for the second question :)

+David Wijnants true. Formatting is very important
I manage to add a new user. Thanks Moshix for your user friendly instructional video. Keep up the good work.
thanks for watching Rocky Yap!
+Rocky Yap thanks a lot for watching !
Fascinating insight into how access restrictions are managed from 1980’s versus today.
Agreed !

Roland Mettler, Yes true. Valid points. When the profiles change then a S RAKF also rereads those. Thanks for watching !

Can't wait for update 9 either
Thanks! I would enjoy other videos playing around with TSO or RAKF.
Thanks for all these great videos!

Informative video but boy is that background music annoying 😬
Thanks !
How do you make a new line with the numbers already put like that, is it a specific key?
Edit: found it you just type r and press control

just watch some videos and slowly you get the hang out of it. Also read about ISPF primary commands. They are pretty much the same
Can you do a video on how to kick a user off of a system if they accidentally disconnect, so they can log back on again?
At the MVS console: “/C U=HERC01” or whatever user. Too short a subject to make a video about it
thx! Was bothering me for a long time lols!
The user can do simply do logon r (r is for reconnect) No need for mvs cancel user command. This is how it still works in Z/OS 2.3
Exactly
IS there a way to force logout a TSO User without having to bounce Hercules?
What does bounce Hercules mean ?

In the Hercules console /c U=nameofuser
/c U=username
Thank you, nowhere else did I find the information stating the userids in sys1.secure.cntl(users) had to be in alphabetical order.
It says in the TK4 manual by Juergen Winkelman’s
