Sorry to hear your neighborhood news. All I can think of are the flies, the smell, what they'll think to add next, and property values. Flies that are on farms are much bigger and worse than the common house fly. I.E. Horse flies. They like to bite.
It may be unlawful to keep livestock on property within the city limits in Padukah? Oh but you are in the County! That is probably been their intention for as long as they have been there!! I try to keep in mind everyday that I may be "shocked" at something or some news but It is very difficult to prepare myself for shocking events. I love how fast your body healed and you felt so much better that you could blog and cook etc!
When my hubby and I hang out at the pool all afternoon, we come in an hour before we plan to do anything. We say, "it's time to go in and cool our brains!"

That’s the life! I’ve always resisted the idea of getting an in ground pool due to the maintenance/upkeep. But seeing you and your hubs chilling in your own backyard…I’m having second thoughts lol. Enjoy!!! 🌞
Oh it's honestly not much maintenance at all. Fiberglass pools are super easy to take care of...and Randy has the chemical balance down to a science! I just get to enjoy it! 😄
We had a 18 x 36 chlorine pool installed at our last house and have a 20 x 40 saltwater at our current house. We replaced the liner 13 years ago ( $5000 ). If you have trees near the pool have them cut down otherwise you will be fighting leaves constantly. Be prepared because pool chemicals are pricey. If your saltwater cell goes out expect to pay at least $700 or more to replace it. We replaced ours 3 times within 10 years. We have spent a lot of money on automatic pool cleaners, chemicals and pool covers over the last 23 years. So yes it is so nice having your own pool but there is a lot of expense and time involved. Our pool has been covered for the last 2 years. We are trying to decide if we want to just fill it in or sell the house and downsize since it’s just the two of us.
I love cows, horses, etc. You mentioned you live basically in the country area of your county. If you wish HOA conditions move back to the city but before you do remember thats where the "KAREN's" live! Nothing wrong with a few moo's daily. Pool looked great, you looked great as always dogs are great. Hope yall have a great 4th just around the corner.

Hi Renee. Two things I want to tell you….I love the weekly newsletter and we purchased the long handles for the pools skimmer baskets and now I will actually empty them 😂. Try blowing a bull horn when they all start barking..I had to do this when I was outside..the neighbors have 5 dogs who are yeppers and my senior dog goes to the picket fence to have a conversation..the small bull horn does wonders for the barking..😂😂

When I had it in the freezer, it gave me brain freeze on top of my headache. Any tips for keeping it in the freezer, but not having it be frost bite cold?
Hi! It is very cold in the freezer....I get ya on that! We keep ours in the freezer, and I let it sit out for about 2 minutes before putting it on my head. Randy prefers it straight out of the freezer. We tried keeping it in the fridge, but it warmed up to fast.
We have been having odd sinus and body pain with all the smoke from Canada making it down to Wisconsin. But that's the way to spend a nice relaxing day...just puttering around the house. I'm gonna have to try pesto on a BLT...that sounds really yummy!
Hi! I just talked to my daughter who lives in Milwaukee, and she said it's very hazy today from the smoke! She was afraid to walk to a nearby coffee shop it's so bad. Yikes!
My 2 pussy cat girls get fed 5 times a day. Cats have really small stomachs Renee lol in winter I can sometimes feed 7 times as they burn up the calories trying to stay warm during a cold Scottish winter. I just love Mochi, she is so cute. Oh Renee make friends with the neighbours with the cow and get fresh milk, you'll not want to go back to store bought milk lol xxx
Looks like fun..😊 p.s. if your neighbors get pigs also and don’t keep the manure, picked up, the stink will be as bad as having a cargil hog farm behind you. Just saying. Check with the county and see what the permit is for. Also the flies will be terrible.😏

NO kidding, cow's mow in the middle of the night too.. I had a place up north & it was farm area & the cows were making noises like a scary moaning,, sounds were very scary, I thought it was a ghosts,,my friend said it was the cows...let us know if you hear any strange noises,, but then again their in the city, they maybe are scared too.. people forget that they are farm animals... Not completely satisfied with our pool service, so I was showing my husband the Nautilus pool robot featured in the pool must haves video from a few weeks ago, Confused to see a new robot so soon. Please advise the new brand/model and reason for replacing Nautilus. Thanks! Also, I have been have wanting to inquire about the white square wood decor piece hung as a diamond shape behind the wreath in your dining room. Was that a Hobby Lobby find? Have you ever tried "Bromelain for Sinus" by Nature's Life? For years (10-15) I had sinus problems. I started taking this anti-inflammatory (I even took a little more than suggested - I checked and it was okay for me). I have not had a sinus problem for the last 5 years. I swear by this stuff.
My neighbors have taken to raising chickens. We also are in a subdivision and some our houses are fairly close together. When chickens lay eggs, they get pretty excited about it. Mice like chicken feed. Snakes like mice. Now, I'm from the country. I raised a boy who brought critters home in his pockets all the time. I'm not afraid of much, but my neighbors are terrified of snakes. They have not made the connection between snakes, mice, chicken feed. Hmmm...
Good way to use basil if you have too much: Slice basil and put into ice cube trays, top with olive oil and put into the freezer. When frozen put them in a zip lock bag. You always have basil olive oil for your stews, pasta dishes ect.

Hi! I do nothing......but I don't go under the water either. I do use a purple shampoo to brighten my hair if it gets dull from the sun.

The headache cap is awesome! I have one too, but keep it in the fridge. When I had it in the freezer, it gave me brain freeze on top of my headache. Any tips for keeping it in the freezer, but not having it be frost bite cold?
Hi! It is very cold in the freezer....I get ya on that! We keep ours in the freezer, and I let it sit out for about 2 minutes before putting it on my head. Randy prefers it straight out of the freezer. We tried keeping it in the fridge, but it warmed up to fast.
We have been having odd sinus and body pain with all the smoke from Canada making it down to Wisconsin. But that's the way to spend a nice relaxing day...just puttering around the house. I'm gonna have to try pesto on a BLT...that sounds really yummy!
Hi! I just talked to my daughter who lives in Milwaukee, and she said it's very hazy today from the smoke! She was afraid to walk to a nearby coffee shop it's so bad. Yikes!
My 2 pussy cat girls get fed 5 times a day. Cats have really small stomachs Renee lol in winter I can sometimes feed 7 times as they burn up the calories trying to stay warm during a cold Scottish winter. I just love Mochi, she is so cute. Oh Renee make friends with the neighbours with the cow and get fresh milk, you'll not want to go back to store bought milk lol xxx
Looks like fun..😊 p.s. if your neighbors get pigs also and don’t keep the manure, picked up, the stink will be as bad as having a cargil hog farm behind you. Just saying. Check with the county and see what the permit is for. Also the flies will be terrible.😏

NO kidding, cow's mow in the middle of the night too.. I had a place up north & it was farm area & the cows were making noises like a scary moaning,, sounds were very scary, I thought it was a ghosts,,my friend said it was the cows...let us know if you hear any strange noises,, but then again their in the city, they maybe are scared too.. people forget that they are farm animals... There not to live in your back yard.. SMH

We are new to having an in ground pool in our backyard after a recent move to just west of Houston, TX. How many times have I burned my pine, walnut or any kind of nut for pesto? May I suggest a small squeeze of fresh lemon juice to your pesto? Makes a big difference IMHO. On a BLT? Great idea! Love your backyard. Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Have you ever tried "Bromelain for Sinus" by Nature's Life? For years (10-15) I had sinus problems. I started taking this anti-inflammatory (I even took a little more than suggested - I checked and it was okay for me). I have not had a sinus problem for the last 5 years. I swear by this stuff.
My neighbors have taken to raising chickens. We also are in a subdivision and some our houses are fairly close together. When chickens lay eggs, they get pretty excited about it. Mice like chicken feed. Snakes like mice. Now, I'm from the country. I raised a boy who brought critters home in his pockets all the time. I'm not afraid of much, but my neighbors are terrified of snakes. They have not made the connection between snakes, mice, chicken feed. Hmmm...
Good way to use basil if you have too much: Slice basil and put into ice cube trays, top with olive oil and put into the freezer. When frozen put them in a zip lock bag. You always have basil olive oil for your stews, pasta dishes ect.
