MAGDEBURG: The secret life of Taleb A. “Respectable doctor and radical activist!” New details!
After the deadly attack at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, the suspect must be remanded in custody. The district court has issued an arrest warrant for murder and multiple attempted murders against the 50-year-old, Magdeburg police said on Sunday. The man was brought before the magistrate on Saturday evening. Investigators had previously stated that his motive could be “dissatisfaction with the way Saudi Arabian refugees are treated” in Germany.
On Friday evening in Magdeburg, a car crashed into a crowd at the Christmas market on the Alter Markt. At least five people died, including a child. Around 200 other people were injured, many of them seriously. A 50-year-old doctor from Saudi Arabia who had been living in Germany since 2006 was arrested as the alleged perpetrator. He was taken to a prison.
