To be fair, some of his moves in Dungeons were about stealing money from the opponent and then use that money to strike harder. And the best way to implement this into Rival was by bringing Shovel Knight's gimmick back.

I did. It fits his Dungeons moveset to a T.
@SuperCezo Do temper your expectations, Dungeons is a VERY slow-paced game. Think of it as Battle Yahtzee with a shared dice pool.
Not saying it's bad, but the majority of negative reviews complain about its pacing and system mechanics being "a slog" since the enemies do not give the player anything for free.

@dasdingoooc6727 The faster he is the more slippery he gets. That's his mechanic.
@dasdingoooc6727 every character had a little gimmick in Dungeons. Slade could not increase his defense like other, making him quite fragile. But as long as he was faster than his opponent he could simply dodge by using some stamina to avoid damage.
@unskilledgamer3642 NGL I would have preferred him to have stamina like fleet and be able to use it to cancel moves into dashes; I wasn't big on SK's shop gameplay in RoA1, but I gotta say that Slade's seems way better.

@unskilledgamer3642 Yeah, would be awesome. Personally I'm a Hamir fan. A heavy that's all about bait and punish instead of grapples would also be a nice twist for the archetype.

@TrixterTheFloret Plus Dungeons happens like almost at the same time as RoA1, and all the characters were bound to meet sooner or later. Olympia was even there, and first teaser for Lox was there (Artemis slide at the end), and Ayala was there who supposedly helped Elianna and it literally happens in Julesvale and a lot of characters are mentioned and yeah, it was inevitable (in a good way). Gotta keep the plot and lore going.
