This format needs way more exposure. Magic needs more limited formats that bring more playable value to collections. Players need to realize the care put into the design of more cards in their collections.
Friend of mine was leaving the country and left me 2 long boxes of jank and draft chaff he needed to be rid of. Just uncommons and commons. While him and 3 others played commander on that last day with us Magic nerds, I made a total of three battleboxes of 220-250 cards with what he gave me!! One was mainly Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Neon Dynasty, Modern Horizons 2, and Brother’s War because of the heavy artifact themes. The second one was Ravnica sets, War of the Spark, Dominaria United, and OG Dominaria with newe core set cards slewn in. The third was mainly made from Amonket, Hour of Devastation, Ixalan, Rivals of Ixalan, Ikoria and Zendikar Rising piles. It was a blast and I am excited to try each of them out and maybe to some tweaking ^^ It genuinely was a fun exercise.
This is a cool video about a cool format, and while the commentary is cool, because viewers otherwise don't get to know what's going on in your heads, I do miss the more colorful banter you get as you play. Still, great video!
Anthony and I have both lapsed a bit in updating our battleboxes, but one of the great things about the format is that updates are very low pressure. I'll just add some cards I like without making cuts, or cut a card I don't like without adding anything, nbd. I find battleboxes very replayable, but it's definitely a different experience than cube draft. Even with a relatively small box though (mine is ~200 cards) it does not get repetitive at all.

Thank you! I totally agree, and Battlebox and Cube are the best ways to get a lot of mileage out of any collection.
This format is amazing

return of the battlebox when?
Are y'all still curating this cube? How replayable is it vs one of y'all's more typical cubes?

I think you guys should do an UN battle box!
Not out of the question!
Taking away the mana system just makes this yugiyoh
Is a booster box of Jumpstart good for a battleebox?
Personally, I'd keep that as its own thing. If you have any bulk just there taking up space, just turn that into a battlebox
I would recommend you to use jumpstarts as jumpstarts
