The accident investigation process is insane in these situations. If the freeways had camera coverage using the same tech my ring camera uses. We could save the video and see exactly what happened. To close the freeway down for an extended period is horrible and affects the commerce and quality of life of everyone.
Tell me about it. Our family got stuck in that traffic for 3.5 hours and missed our flight by just 8 mins. Now stuck at airport for 9 hours till next available flight. Wtf. Why can they not open just ONE lane on the freeway. Do they really need to close down ALL lanes for 5 hours. They ruined allot of people’s lives this morning :(
@@kyleclement9967 It’s insane. When they just spent billions on the light rail it would have been great to engineer reversible express lanes. The area of that wreck and in Tacoma Portland Ave there is no detours on service streets. You got the brunt of it. Safe travels

I used to live near 405 In the south Seattle area. Every Friday and Saturday night as well as occasionally during weeknights, you could hear groups of sportbikes racing by on the freeway at high speeds as well as high performance sports cars racing each other and doing burnouts in the vicinity.
SOP for most drivers: go as fast as possible all the time.
