Wow! That looks scary and steep! What a great full body workout. The Galina? Gallena? stone is very cool, so interesting that the weight reveals the ore content. The square set is GORGEOUS, like an MC Escher painting in real life...
Always fun to visit the mines and shout out to Pat and her get it done attitude.. Snow day here in Southeast Louisiana, no kidding, 26 degrees with a 14mph wind and close to 7 inches so far....
There sure are a lot of big heavy timbers down those shafts preventing (sometimes) cave-ins. Wood like that today would cost big bucks- if you could find it at all. There must be some mineable ore left in that mountain but finding it is so hard and the cost of digging and digging is too high. At least it stays cool down there in the summer.
Anaconda reportedly left one whole section alone with over 50,000 tons of recoverable. There’s still plenty there.

@@tecopamines Looks like they left some dynamite there too. Great fun and excitement could be had with that stuff. Maybe you could save it for el cuatro de Julio. Let Miss Wonderhussy set it off.
That's neat, going around a collapse, but you know what is on the other side. It would really be something if you could get into an older area behind a collapse where no one has been since it happened.
You must have some pretty good powers of persuasion to get people to crawl around down there!
More power to you!
It’s actually harder keeping most of these people out. They are a special breed.
Thanks for the hospitality this weekend and welcome to our organization
You guys were more than satisfactory!
@ Satisfactory!
I admire all the gumption and gusto you all have. WOW... It's okay to say I get nervous though, I hope. CONGRATS, to all of you.🎊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I get nervous watching them too, Rhonda! 😎😎😎
@DeborahFlorian-gy6lw I am glad I'm not alone on that, Deborah.

Crazy! I was watching a live feed of the snow on Bourbon St. before. Does Louisiana even have snow plows?!!

Congratulations🎉
Best of luck 🤞
Whiz bang gloves are still around.
Yes, they are. The ones they make today don’t look nothing like these, though. These are definitely older stuff.
congrats on the new find

Maybe it was a one-armed miner?

Are you updating a map every time you go down into the mine?
Of course. 😎
Lucky dawgs living the dream!
