One of the best animated incarnations of the original book next to the version in the 70's Dr. Seuss on the Loose special.
3:47-3:51 and 3:57-4:05 are two of my other favorite parts. The music at 4:00-4:03 is rather catchy, much like or more so than the rest of the music in this CD ROM (at least most of it that is).
That SAM I AM…! What a sneaky guy! After all, I LIKE FUNNY STUFF!
I remember first playing this in primary school and this just feels so different to all the other living books games I've ever seen as it feels like you're actually watching a cartoon TV special. I also love the opening to this game as well.

LOL at the random guy on a handcar pretending to be a train at 38:18 - 38:35, along with that random switch track being in the tunnel!
I never knew about Sneetches were at first until I saw Dr. Seuss On the Loose. So at 30:18, I couldn't tell what that was as a kid. I played the CD ROM in Kindergarten, and it was a few years later that I first watched Dr. Seuss On the Loose. It was the first of the Dr. Seuss TV Specials I watched, and sometime afterward, when I played the game again, it dawned on me that it was a Sneetch at 30:18, and I finally got the idea.
Also, I always wondered what was the deal with the guy pretending to be a train at 38:18-38:35, while lately, I also wondered how there could be an extra switch line in a tunnel.
I remember playing this on one of the computers in first grade.
I played it at that time as well, but more earlier in Kindergarten.

Now the dad saw Sam at the house 🏠 with a mouse. 🐁 then he saw Sam in a box! 📦 next,he was a fox 🐺. So they started their adventure. Just then, dad saw him in a car! 🚗 can you imagine that? And it had 1 seat for the fox 🐺. And another for the mouse. 🐁 then another for Sam. And one more seat for.....DAD!!! And what did he say? "I do not like them,Sam I am!!" They became to drive the wrong way. ⬅🚗➡ ? So they drove 1 more mark..to a tree!!!! ➡🚗➡🌴 they were getting a little bit crazy. When they landed on a train! 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃. It was a chain. To get on that train.

So the matching game has "purple pancakes" at 15:44, and the last episode of the Netflix series mentions "purple pancakes" on the menu in the diner scene. I wonder if that was an intentional reference on the series writers' part?
Is that so? I almost sure then if it was a reference, even though I haven't seen the series.
That's what I figured out myself! When Sam mentions just "purple pancakes" alone in the season 1 finale, I knew it was the exec producers idea to give all these foods worth mentioning after decades ago for the next season! I mean this Netflix show is simply TERRIFIC!!

Yes, the Purple Pancakes in the LB game predicted the Netflix show. Imagine there was an inverse of Green Eggs and Han when Guy-Am-I (aka Joey, Grouchy Guy, Sam’s Friend) tries to give Sam-I-Am orange cherry pie, but Sam hates it until the end.

I remember the sound of the guy making train noises at 45:32 - 45:35 is reused from "The Berenstain Bears in the Dark," when that firefly pretends to be a train in a tunnel.

This was my favorite childhood story book and CD ROM over the past 20 years when I was in elementary School
Same with me, as I first played the CD ROM at Kindergarten. And the book was one of the first ones of any kind I read at the time.
