If the game was like this originally I would buy it, I don't understand why EA can't do this type of thing, I wish the community would make noise so that in the next game they make this possible or add it to the original game
I dont hate the drift mod, it definitely expands the scope and consistency of unbounds drifting, just wish the shit didnt practically countersteer for you
Hey! Creator of the drift mod here. Regarding self-steer, there is this misconception in the arcade racing community that self-steer is not realistic. Self steer happens in real cars too, it consists of 3 parts: 1. Pneumatic trail (the tire tries to flex to the direction of its travel) 2. Mechanical trail (can be increased by suspension caster angle, the steering forces will try to push back the tire to its direction if travel) 3. Gyroscopic effects. When game physics start to just somewhat resemble real physics, it will become harder and harder to drift without self-steer, just like in real life. You can watch any onboard video and you will see that the drivers let the wheel go during the transitions, and only do very small adjustments once the wheel stops at a steady angle. In fact, when you play a game with a steering wheel, the force feedback system does nothing but imitate the self steer of the real car. Without it, sim drifting would also be close to impossible, without cheating elsewhere in the physics.
@@hayeduce I know, that's not why I dislike the self steer, I dislike it because the feedback compared to vanilla when doing a transfer feels sluggish, which I get is way more realistic, it's just the snap back in vanilla by comparison is way more aggressive and let's you do some ridiculous things, (or maybe I'm tripping and it's just the way the camera works in your mod) I feel like if there was a way to combine the stability and openness of your handling with the more aggressive vanilla handling (agressive being i can wrench the car side to side), that's where I'd find my self having the most enjoyment (maybe im just weird tho). But then again, I am one person of many, just figured I'd throw the idea out there scince your here. Also as I said, I really don't hate your mod, it feels like car x, it's nice.
@@TheRealdraudE oh actually the camera is not part of the mod, its completely separate, its made by @jc_jdm. I find the transitions with my mod actually faster then vanilla, when fully gripped up, they are so fast self steer sometimes cant even keep up. Vanilla cam amplifies that a lot too. The guys in the video were smooth and slow on purpose. Give it a try maybe you'll find your style. Thanks for the compliments!!!

I wouldn't say the original drifting is bad, this is just another way of drifting in the game. I don't count it as a fix
I think every game company should hire modders to help
Sick editing, nice vid my brodel. Mad respect.
Imagine Drift Cinematics, dope shit db.

I changed mind...this phisic is quite sick
I SWEAR IF THE NEXT UPDATE FONT FEEL LIKE THIS SOMEONE GOTTA TAP IN WITH NFS FRFR AND HELP THEM😂

You can adjust that with the "Self-steer"(caster) setting in handling tuning, the latest update actually feels better with less caster
