In my life I've always wanted to make people proud of me. To do this I'm gonna try to become a big youtuber 🙏❤,,
Hey man you could always 3d print the window bracket I have a shop in Bulgaria and it's a usual fix nowadays because some of the regulators are way too expensive for the old cars here
Freddie, Volkswagen and Audi use the same type of fitting on there window regulators to the glass see if you can find one similar at a savage yard or parts place
looks like a mk4 golf clamp. need to see how the cable is attached to it. if there is one whole camble on the system, then look for a vw passat b5 or b5+. if there are to wire ends, then it must be from a same year golf. good luck on that.
I need to comment on this. Congrats on your channel it is a great channel for the following reasons: 1) Your ego is not bigger than your car (like some of the other YT car vloggers. 2) You don't film yourself all the time like some other vloggers. 3) You are doing so much work yourself. It would be easy to just go to a shop and let somebody else do all that work. Kudos to you for doing it yourself!!! 4) It seems you are truly enjoying doing what you do, and at least to me it does not feel that you are only doing these videos for the money. 5) You don't put all your video titles in ALL CAPITALS ;-) Finally, if it was me I would try to keep this car's look as close to the movie look as possible (minus the road legal stuff like the mirrors etc). I would repaint it in that special orange color, and also keep the front & rear bumper, the sideskirts, the exhaust look etc to remain as they are when the car was used for filming. In the end you will have so much satisfaction of owning a unique 1 of 1 supercar that was used in the FF movie, how cool is that!
You could send the car on tour and make some money for the fans to come and see an actual FF car. They used to do that with the batmobile. People would probably pay to have a picture of them in the seat of the car.
the thing is he would have to get a real premier 4905 body kit to get the fitment right which costs about $30k. in the movies the car looks good because nobody pays attention to panel gaps so they can get away with this crap looking body kit but in real life, with the time and money spent on this car, im sure freddy wants it to look the part. as cool as your idea is, i think it would be an unneeded financial hit.
On your window clip, Check with a glass shop for autos. They keep those sometimes and usually have something that'll work. Also check down in the door very well. I have had them stuck to the speaker magnet before.
DUDE! The harness and the hood latch really helped me A LOT. Thanks Tavarish - my Murci has been sitting in storage apart for over 3 years and I’m finally building it! Been dreading the door harnesses. No one has the schematics so Im going to pull them apart. You motivated me to do it! Let me know if you’re out in Orlando I will swing by if I’m in town. Thanks again!
Just found your channel today and I have watched every video of this rebuild so far. I see people ripping on ya for the money spent, but I learned from watching my dad rebuild cars from my childhood and he always made money, or made something that he had that he couldn’t afford if he didn’t have the talent and patience for doing this type of work. Thank you for bringing back great memories, and no matter what, YOU will own a car that every person who has watched that movie always wanted! Keep up the great work brother!
Very nice work sir! When I did wiring work on my motorcycle, I tested each connections using wires with alligator clips before doing the permanent connections and heat shrinking. Then you don’t need to redo anything if something doesn’t work as it should!
Damn Freddy, loving this build! I'm getting an LP640 later on this year, around October time (hopefully once the visa has been sorted) I'm based in Orlando area :) would be cool to see this beast in person sometime!
The hood isn't throwing off the panel gaps. The fenders that were glued back on are the issue. If you move the hood the latch alignment is going to bind up. It will either refuse to open immediately or shortly after once you wear out the mechanism.
99 to 04 mustangs had a clamp on glass type like that maybe could adapt it. Or make me a print an I can get you one machined out of aluminum or nylon for you.
That Murray Walker sample takes me back to watching F1 as a kid... love it! This car’s going to be amazing when it’s finished. Just keep pouring the hours in 👍🏻
For the window bracket for the regulator. Check vw parts. Looks like a part share product and most likely interchangeable with a vw golf jetta passat. Around the same year. At least my 03 tdi looks simular
Tavarish that clamp is a standard VW part. You can find replacements for a same year passat that will work. I'm a 15 year high end autoglass tech, very surprised to see crap vw parts on the Lambo
You should auction off all the parts you're taking off this car, and post the link on the description, you'd be surprised all the money you could get, from people that would love to have a physical piece of something that has been really used in that franchise, that has touched so many lives.
If they are not the same color trace the door components down. Then if wiring diagrams exist match em. If not you have to trace and test every wire finding its function. That also requires testing every switches natural on/off ground/power states and match that. Really just time consuming but it can be done
The window regulator clip attached to the window maybe a common vw part, looks very similar to the ones in a mk4 golf.i may be wrong but might save you some time and money.
Thank you Freddy, I can't begin to tell you how much joy you bring to my life with your videos. Wish I could afford just one of your beautiful cars. Keep up the great work 😊
I had the same issue, had my window regulator sent down to Arizona to have it rebuild, costs about $500 but works like a charm. Its known issue, leverage wheels are plastic just like clips holding the glass it brakes down when you close door with window half way open.
@@TheOriginalLugnuts - just in the same way they could have bought lots of original artwork and destroyed that too. It's a shame to ruin them when so few were made.
The wooden block holding window in place reminds me of my BMW. When I bought it, the rear left window was opened like an inch and wouldn't fully roll up or down. 'Odd' I thought, but still bought it and got it home, because the price was a bargain. Turns out the window lifter motor was working, but the lifter wire rope had snapped so the previous owned just stuck **drumroll** I am not even kidding - a broken axe handle in there to prop the window up :D Got a lifer assembly from the wreckers for 10Eur and threw the old motor in there, works like a charm now.
I was about to say that it's crazy that you paid 2k for wing mirror when the Murcielago shares the same wing mirrors as the Nissan 300ZX... But then I saw on in the background, did you buy an entire 300ZX for the mirrors?! 😱 please build it up and tune it into track car! 😊 amazing video 😊
Freddy, i have an idea. Ask the Goonzquad guys.. they have a „donercar lambo“ i think they have this thing for your Window maybe they Seats ars compatible 🤣
Have you approached Lamborghini? They may be interested in helping, even if in a small way, in restoring a "movie car" that is part of their corporate image.
I think I know why your passenger door is different. In the fast and furious movie doesn’t the door get ripped off the car and Tyrese Gibson ends up riding the door on ice. That may explain why the harness was cut. So they get the door to release easy.
just a bit of advice here from an auto electrician when splicing a bunch of wires splice them at difrent lenths. i know it wasnt easy with the space ande lenth of wires you had but when you join a bunch of wires like that you will get the joint from one wire rubbing against another joint, plus if the cable needs to flex they are unable to slide against each other and can cause one of the joins to snap. apart from that enjoing your work so far.
you can MAKE that clip very easily if you know someone nearby with a shop. That'd be a REALLY easy part to make especially since you have a matching one.

I think you should make your own part for the window, somehow measure the other part and have someone make you a replica with the same rubber compound and everything. Also 3d print the rear brake ducts and use 3,1/2" maybe 4" clear tubing with the spiral wire you see on racecar setups' and for the duct exit make some fabricated metal to shoot that air to the bottoms of the rotors to prevent brake dust from getting on your rims and cooling too!

Yes, it looks suspiciously like a common VW glass clamp. It might cost like a buck or two. Three on a rainy day.

Goonzquad has a door that had a broken window. Bet they have a glass clamp that would work for you.
I was thinking the same thing. They have a huracan, but maybe that part is the same.
I might have a go at fabricating the window clamp, doesn't seem like overly complicated component.
