I'm absolutely obsessed with the rainbow high dolls. I don't own any yet, but I've been watching doll customizations of them and I'm in love. Their body types are just the freaking cutest thing I've ever seen. I love how chubby they look, and I just....I'm obsessed. This was a wonderful custom as well, I'm excited to see more in the future 🖤

We literally screamed when we saw this doll! She is beyond cute and we love the two toned choices! We are definitely going to be buying a magnifying glass so we can get our face ups closer to your level! The sewing is a whole different story lol!

I think the bodies of the Rainbow High dolls are super cute but their heads are just so big that it pushes them out of the size range that I like. Personal preference aside this repaint is absolutely precious and it's super cool to see you working on a variety of different dolls.
oh i agree with ya. i like the rainbow high dolls but they arent a doll that im going to repaint a ton because i prefer dolls that are more proportionate. thank ya! its so much fun repainting new dolls! it always baffles me when people only paint one specific line of dolls. it just seems to boring.

This was a really nice customisation. The poofy rainbow hair and magical sparkly eyes are great. (Surprisingly I watched the whole 40 mins without going double time.) The 2nd eyelashes look so much better than the 1st. I like the shape of the Rainbow High dolls compared to monster's high. The bodies seem to have more volume and better posture, and I like the eyes being inset, so they're similar to BJDs. (I don't really like when the dolls shapes are too sexualised, especially since they're marketed to kids, but somehow they always are, don't know why.)

I was similarly confused by the doll construction on the Rainbow High girls- but the sculpting is so CUTE. I could look at the delicately posed hands forever. The eye molding is so massive, I think next time I repaint one of there girls I will sculpt additional eyelids to narrow them a bit.
Also- I love your style so much! It’s so distinctive! You might consistently state that sewing is not your forte, but your designs are so unique and adorable. 🥰
Oh i totally agree with ya about the sculpting! its super cute, i just wish it was more functional. the hands are the cutest! overall i love mga's hands, atleast for these dolls and the omg lol fashion dolls. oooo i dunno if you follow dannisdesignerdolls on insta but she sculpts a lid alot of the time and it looks super cute! I was thinking of sculpting the inset eye space in so i could paint eyes on these dolls but im not sure how that would work out. anyway, thank ya!! im glad ya like my style :D haha i need to study sewing more, theres just alot of technical things i dont know how to do :/
JackyOhhh I filled in the eye with Apoxy for mine, since I didn’t have supplies to do resin inset eyes when I was making her. She turned out pretty well, though I can’t believe how huge I had to make the irises to keep her from having crazy eyes! I will totally check out danni on Insta, I love finding new doll artists to follow. ☺️ your work is always so cute and you are such a positive person, your videos are a delight.
I love seeing what doll customizers can do with these dolls! I own Sunny and Violet from the first wave. Though I was debating on whether I should restyle my Sunny doll’s hair to look more like Usagi’s (Serene to those who grew up with the DIc/Cloverway dub in the US) and make her a Sailormoon costume or do that with the cheerleader one. Much like I am debating if I should collect more of the rainbow or not.

Your doll is super cute! 🥰 I saw someone on RUclips make the neck easier to pose by simply clipping off each side of the neck peg a bit shorter with heavy duty wire cutters. I haven’t tried it, but it seems a lot easier to me than drilling, and dealing with runaway screws! I didn’t like rainbow high dolls in the beginning, because I don’t like dolls with teeth, (I find teeth creepy) and I do not like the sparkle skin. I do like the cheerleader dolls much better because they have matte faces. I personally would paint the white teeth black (or another dark color) for a nice lip separation effect. But that’s just me. You have inspired me to make a clown doll, instead of a witch doll using this tutorial as a basis for it.🌹

Mommy from my world explained this really well. Rainbow high is expensive to make so they probably were looking for places to cut costs in places that wouldn’t lower the overall quality. This would tower the retail price ( 26.99 American) while still have the inset eyes, nylon hair and designer inspired clothes
great idea! im sure ill use the body for something, i was thinking of hybriding it with an ever after high doll head but i dunno if it would look weird. i think hes doing a bit better, its all just been kinda up and down and alot mentally. we're getting into the routine of things though.

hahaha i just think everythings cuteeee. thank yeeeeee, mannn ive been really loving making eyeballs lately. her dress is definitely very layery lol maybe too much so. i was so bummed to waste money on the cheer doll but i just couldnt be bothered to deal with that other body any more. im sure ill do something with the other body parts eventually.

I was similarly confused by the doll construction on the Rainbow High girls- but the sculpting is so CUTE. I could look at the delicately posed hands forever. The eye molding is so massive, I think next time I repaint one of there girls I will sculpt additional eyelids to narrow them a bit.
Also- I love your style so much! It’s so distinctive! You might consistently state that sewing is not your forte, but your designs are so unique and adorable. 🥰
Oh i totally agree with ya about the sculpting! its super cute, i just wish it was more functional. the hands are the cutest! overall i love mga's hands, atleast for these dolls and the omg lol fashion dolls. oooo i dunno if you follow dannisdesignerdolls on insta but she sculpts a lid alot of the time and it looks super cute! I was thinking of sculpting the inset eye space in so i could paint eyes on these dolls but im not sure how that would work out. anyway, thank ya!! im glad ya like my style :D haha i need to study sewing more, theres just alot of technical things i dont know how to do :/
JackyOhhh I filled in the eye with Apoxy for mine, since I didn’t have supplies to do resin inset eyes when I was making her. She turned out pretty well, though I can’t believe how huge I had to make the irises to keep her from having crazy eyes! I will totally check out danni on Insta, I love finding new doll artists to follow. ☺️ your work is always so cute and you are such a positive person, your videos are a delight.

I love seeing what doll customizers can do with these dolls! I own Sunny and Violet from the first wave. Though I was debating on whether I should restyle my Sunny doll’s hair to look more like Usagi’s (Serene to those who grew up with the DIc/Cloverway dub in the US) and make her a Sailormoon costume or do that with the cheerleader one. Much like I am debating if I should collect more of the rainbow or not.

Your doll is super cute! 🥰 I saw someone on RUclips make the neck easier to pose by simply clipping off each side of the neck peg a bit shorter with heavy duty wire cutters. I haven’t tried it, but it seems a lot easier to me than drilling, and dealing with runaway screws!
I didn’t like rainbow high dolls in the beginning, because I don’t like dolls with teeth, (I find teeth creepy) and I do not like the sparkle skin. I do like the cheerleader dolls much better because they have matte faces. I personally would paint the white teeth black (or another dark color) for a nice lip separation effect. But that’s just me. You have inspired me to make a clown doll, instead of a witch doll using this tutorial as a basis for it.🌹

My first thought when I saw the weird contraption that you tied the yarn to, was that it looks like a cat paw. Anyway, I absolutely love the way you did the eyes, such a cool technique and I haven't seen anyone else do this before.

Mommy from my world explained this really well. Rainbow high is expensive to make so they probably were looking for places to cut costs in places that wouldn’t lower the overall quality. This would tower the retail price ( 26.99 American) while still have the inset eyes, nylon hair and designer inspired clothes

great idea! im sure ill use the body for something, i was thinking of hybriding it with an ever after high doll head but i dunno if it would look weird. i think hes doing a bit better, its all just been kinda up and down and alot mentally. we're getting into the routine of things though.
