Cool to see that vertical stunt and the inverted flying with this RC plane. Looks like it can do a lot of what the real Blue Angels or any F/A 18 can do. I appreciate all the nods to the Blues in this video.
Man! When I saw the notification that Eflite had released this plane, I knew that I had to have it. Of course, I have seen the Blue Angels performance pretty much every year of my life, so It would be an honor to fly a model of the aircraft. Now I just have to save up for the BNF version and find a large field suitable for 80mm EDFs near me

U read my mind!! 😂😂😂 Burner was mailed today!! And this is the most scale Hornet out there. Its not stupid fast but very realistic and the sound is something else!! Not its not underpowered either... just takes a different flying style thats all... I love mine!! May get the blue angel version as well....
And no the stabs dont come undone from the servo horns like people claim they do , the key is to make sure you put the stabs on the right way and to make sure those wheel collars and setscrews are put in correctly and maybe use locktite
Great edf, love the gear and the sound, flies fine too,may need one to go with my F-4 which is still in the box waiting till I get a bit more over a stroke I had this year,I would also take the missles off and see what it would take to make single cockpit, thanks Rich and Steve!
No problem being #5. The Blues actually have two two seater F-18s. #7 if course and a second one that the use as a backup show plane (#7 is used as a back up show plane too) when they carry newly selected pilots for training. They would typically slap a #4 on that one as the slot position plane is usually the training officer and best position for taking new formation pilots up. But I have seen the 2nd two seater jet with a #6 on the tail at times too. In fact I've seen shows where both two seaters are flying in the show.
Great video once again! Just when I thought I finally have my mind made up on which plane to get next, another new one comes out. Especially an F-18 - a plane I am trying to work my way up to fly. I feel I need to learn a 70mm first as part of my EDF journey (most likely the F-16 Thunderbird), currently fly the E-flite F-15 64mm. This one is definitely next.

Good review. I lost my E-flight 70mm Viper two days ago ! Lost it in some dark gray sky. I took a look at my time left, and when I look back to the plane, couldn't see it... I could hear it but couldn't find it back. Could the virtual fence be installed in other E-Flight airplanes ? Not the auto landing, but the virtual fence ! Thank you,

Lol I'll bring the base grey one. I got mine about a year and a half ago when they 1st came out. it enjoys the view from the stand in my Plane Hanger . just kinda not confident to fly mine yet
hello im from france i have buy a F18 eflite and i find it great but a mistake are in the left horizonthal stabilistor they miss the nuts in the cage ...grr
Wow that sound is incredible! Mine arrived last week, can't wait to fly it! Have you tried it on a 4000? just curious how much flight time to expect on a smaller battery like that.
A little disappointed... I keep looking at the tail numbers. No one has seemed to catch the on the 1:1 Blue Angel, the #5 is actually inverted on the tail. It's a subtle catch, because the 5 isn't actually symmetrical.
Most edf jets have some form of cheater hole somewhere.... The full scale F18 has 2 turbojet engines and in this case we are trying to make that same plane run on an impeller system. Also the full scale aeroplane is a twin engine plane this is a single engine using 2 ducts. Cheater holes are used to compensate for this difference as it is not a perfect world. The cheater holes allow the single fan to breathe better since this plane is normally a twin and we have made it a single with a 2 into 1 duct.

Really great flight, sounds scale and love the bird handles any rough landing. 👍🏻

Another great video. Thanks Rich
Looks good sounds good flies good... But the short flight times suck!!
Beautiful jet and awesome video as always, thanks for sharing buddy 👊🏼👊🏼
Nice man. Sweet. Hey good news. I got my V1200. That new E-flite F-18 hornet blue angles sounds like a real jet.
Do you know how to turn on landing light? Mine doesn’t turn on
I think it's activated by the landing gear. Cycle the landing gear
Great informative video! Thank you
Very nice 💓💓💓💓💓💓
Next plane on the list ..... Thanks for the great video!
