Of course I missed you, for three weeks didn't see a glass of beer and didn't give a Like, so the song fits: Like the child, you too were risen (lol). Please watch "Waidmann's Heil" live in Madison Square Garden. Thanks.
Yeah,I missed you! Finally I'm calm. :) Ah,Don't you want the only one who react to "Dalai Lama"(just with eng sub, brutal)?I'll more than happy if you made it.
You should react to Morgenstern ruclips.net/video/Pjbzaq_BZAQ/видео.html And Rein Raus ruclips.net/video/vs1w2Js-GM0/видео.html 2 awesome performances that no other youtuber has reactted to..i have requested these 2 particular songs and I've yet to have anyone react to them. Please be the first one to react..that would be so cool..😊🇩🇪🖤❤️💛
You have a good ear btw. not nany could hear the difference between _aus_ and _auf._ _Aus_ in the tracks context means out of the ground, while _auf_ in the last lines means on the ground, since the child was saved from bring buried alive.^^
So basicaly the song can to be seen litteraly, and Symbolic. In old days, people could be easily buried alive, because they were misstaken to be dead. They same was with this child here, it was accidently buried alive, but thanks to the music box, it was saved. The symbolic is, that many people who feared that destiny, attached little bells outside of their graves, thanks to a mechanism, so they could call help...if it was heared, or not on purpose overheared that is. Till explained: _"It's the basic fear people have, to be buried alive. The toy clock that is given into the grave is what ultimately saves the child, so in the end it's a good story. Originally, [the child] was supposed to stay in the grave, but then we decided within the band that we wanted the story to end well, that we wanted the child to be saved. So even though I make the basic concept of the lyrics, the ultimate product is really the work of all of us together."_ Hit Parader Magazine, 04/2000
Spieluhr ist the German word for music box. No its a symbolic story, like it happens often in reality :( its about a little boy (Rammstein named him Jacob), who gets sexual abused. The boy feels dead, hes destroyed. The only thing in his life he focussed on, is a music box. Only rain is crying means no one cares about his pain. No angel climbes down means no one helps him. I think its in the family. The child song is in Germany a very popular game / song for little children, they sit on the lap of an adult who does moves and let the child riding on his lap. If you think about sexual abuse this game get a very bad taste..
Ugh, really? I never interpreted it that way. The nursery rhyme is called technically "Kniereitvers" (knee riding verse) and while some parts may or may not involve the lap, in practice the child sits closer to the knees or on the knees. Do you know any good sources i could read for more information regarding the Jacob thing? I remember the producer or someone was called Jacob something too.
@@NormanTheDormantDoormat Yes if you have bigger children and you don't think about sexual stuff the child is sitting on the knees, and looks to the adult and at the end of the song the knees open and the child falls down. If the child is a baby you take it on the lap, move slowly and let it fall on your legs, the head in the knees, to protect it. When my first son goes in the Kindergarten ( end of the nineties) , we had an parent meeting with the police to teach us to protect our children for sexual abuse. One of the mentioned things was Hoppe Hoppe Reiter, because pedophil men use it to touch children. To this time I remembered back and yes we sat on the knees or on the lap of women, of men, family or strangers, alone or two children together, with the front or the back to the person, It was a fun and a competition not to fall down. We don't care what the person could see, or touch, or feel. Children cant get it. Thats why Rammstein take this song its a direct hint for sexual abuse. Richard mentioned Jacob in an Interview. In the First version Jacob should die, but the band said no, they want an exit for Jacob.
Don' t get lost in translation! Rammstein lyrics are always special ! German words themselves have deeper meanings like german phrases as well! You can' t compare them to english 1:1! Melodical and lyrical this song is an impressive art of performance! A mother tongue speaking person get the passion and meaning of this song! The music box is to be discribe as an old fashioned mechanical feather mechanism from the past! That is the main explanation to understand the diverse meaning of german language and the key to this song! It was given in the hands of the childs
Spieluhr is the music box and it's the title of the song. The child wasn't really dead. The people thought the child is dead. But it's wounding up the music box and began to play. The child waked up of my opinion. Nobody have noticed reaction. Mother, Parents was at the grave, heard the music box. Unearthed the grave and child lives. It's poetry in German specially of Till Lindemann a master of dark lyrics and isn't easy to understand for Germans

While Petra F has already explained a lot, I would like to draw attention to the line "... only the rain cries at the grave ...". Of course, when a child REALLY dies, there are many more people standing at the grave crying. So far, so clear and so sad. The problem with sexual abuse is all too often - and every single time one too many! - there is no one who is. There is no one who stands at the metaphorical grave and cries. And so only the rain remains, crying at the grave.
While Petra Fs explanation is interessting, It's not truly what Rammstein wanted to tell with this story. That abuse thing was once in a wiki article, but turned out to be not true. In fact I found this: Till explained: _"It's the basic fear people have, to be buried alive. The toy clock that is given into the grave is what ultimately saves the child, so in the end it's a good story. One of the best Rammstein Songs in my eyes and typically kind of Bizarre. But in this case with a *happy* ending.

The kids vocals are by Kira Lindemann, who is Richard Kruspe's (main guitar) daughter with Till Lindemann's ex-wife
