Something to be said about the Zippo Typhoon Match Kit: they burn for about 30 seconds. And they'll keep burning after being dunked in water. Best I've ever seen
My nearest Walmart has recently started carrying Lifestraws again. Even though I carry two survival blankets with me, I keep two Wool blankets in my car. Yes, I keep a dozen pill cloths in my get home bag along with two 50' Paracord. I have a great physical library. I wish someone would make an affordable ration bar in some flavor other than apple. I have my get home bag in a full size backpack. I also have a smaller backpack with first aid supplies to wear on my front to get home as well as use whenever needed. I have a couple solar lamps in my car. I have a few glow sticks in my get home bag. I have a substantial fire making kit in the bag. Keep Prepping my friends.
Looks like I have everything on your list, with some brand variations. Love my Mora knives. I own 3 now so I can have one in each bag ("bug out" and "get home") plus one for bushcrafting.
one thing i'd carry especially at home for us that are older, are Large Fresnel lens, can get sometimes at our local dollar store and are about 8x10 rough guess handy when glasses are available and or starting a fire during the day if lighter isnt handy and as a back up .
A couple of options maybe for Europeans, Hultafors GK. Inexpensive, great steel and built like a tank. Water to go filter bottles, there's a video on YT of a guy filtering his babies diaper contents and drinking the remaining water, very good water filters. Clipper lighters, all-round better than Bics and widely available in Europe. For a cheap sharpening system the Work Sharp pocket sharpener is basic but it's (almost) foolproof and you won't ruin your blade using a pull through sharpener, available in America and Europe. As regards shelter a poncho is a multi use item, I got an inexpensive one with grommets in the fishing section of a major outdoor retailer, doesn't reflect heat as well as mylar but you can wear your shelter if you are on the move.
I think some nice work gloves could be added to the list. You don't wanna cut or burn your hands on accident. Preventing injury is better than treating it. I use wells lamont leather work gloves and they last me quite a while, around $15 or so. A BRS outdoor gas cooking stove would also be good if you find yourself in a situation where making a fire isn't an option and you need to boil water for something. It's like $17. The fuel is separate, but thats also under $20. You can also use these items outside of just prepping too
Another useful sharpening tool is a Speedy Sharp - small, lightweight and quite effective. As with other sharpening tools, I would recommend that folks learn how to use it before they need it.
I'm gonna push back on the sharpener part. I have 2 micro wet stones one in my big kit and one in my micro kit. They were like 7$ total I believe and have a rough and fine side. Not as good as a full sharpening set up but much better than scissor sharpeners.
Very good and sound advice. I already have most of the items you suggested, by my own research. I do suggest the lifestraw collapsible/durable peak. It allows you to carry the water. est. $35 I did not know about the micropur katadyn tablets. Just purchased it, thanks.
Paracord is going to be stronger. But another good chord to have is jute twine also can be a flashlight turned into flammable stuff Pretender and Aid for fire starting and if you're going to go with paracord gopher some kind of survival cord D, ,
Having a heavier duty reflective blanket is a great idea. I still carry a couple of cheapy mylar blankets in case I need to wrap someone else and don't want to worry about losing the blanket.
You can get pretty decent tasting ration bars for about 5 bucks the UST or Ultimate Survival Technologies doesn't taste bad it is basically a mayday bar D, ,
I am not impressed with the Aquatainer. I found it to be fragile. Our local employee owned grocery store has heavy duty 5 gallon containers for about 12-14 dollars.
U could spend thousands of dollars??? If ur serious about prepping your gonna spend thousands on just food and if u had the money u could easily spend millions on prepping if i had it i would drop a few mil on top of the line food, good land, a bunker, guns ammo, gear ect shit the bunker alone could be a million or more but sadly enough im poor but have still dropped thousands pretty much most of my extra mlntey after all ky bills goes to my preps cuz shit is coming soon probably befor 2025 is over
Thanks dude,I saved each item on Amazon as I was watching and am placing an order for every item you showed! You are a great help to new preppers.

Nice
I've got several of these items already, and I'm happy with them. This is actually one of the more useful shopping gear lists.
Appreciate that Greyscout!
Same here. No complaints. But you missed a couple major points with the Zippo kit. God bless. 👍🏽
Awesome channel! Been binge listening while amending bugout rolls and vac sealing.

I get Glow Sticks at Lowes in their flashlight section. They are like $3 for 2 and put out as much light as them expensive ones.

The Hydru blue side kick water straw and the Pro sip water straw are great and under 20

You can find and pair pocket stones for under 20. Arkansas stones even
D, ,
Great list!!
Great info! Thanks!
Appreciate it!
Definitely affordable items that will hone your preparations. Some of those items should be foundational items if you’re new to preparedness.
the holey hiker is a great replacement to toilet paper its super tiny fits most water bottles and its under twenty bucks
Again, nice job sir.
Thanks B
Nice list! Thank you.
Trick, can't blow out birthday cake candles. Seems silly, but they are hard blow out.

I have 3 mora knives they are awesome
Add a 4 mil garbage bag
But is it a full tang knife?
Excellent list & Presentation. Thanks.
I used to have an aquatainer and sold it and now I can’t find them
Are you wearing a World Economic Forum hoodie?
TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It)
Most people don't think of what's needed after two or three weeks. In your so called Bug out. Think about it
Aquatainers suck. They crush under load
I rather spend $65 for a full tang Mors Garberg
fire starters that look like little bags of drugs... hmm
I swear officer it is just emergency fire starting wax!
