I’m excited for SAI! I love hearing them try out new and different things sonically. They have something for everyone, so anyone who says they haven’t found a song they like clearly hasn’t looked hard enough

It doesn’t feel like them and that’s on purpose, the story behind the album is that they’ve been taken by Dema and are being used as bait to lure out the rest of the banditos. What we see is Dema’s interpretation of the band, all the promos for the new album have Dema logos on them and back when CSTY was released one of the photos for it had a present that said “SAI is propaganda” on it. SAI = Scaled And Icy :)
I have a feeling this whole album is going to be a more bright and vibrant sound - matches the color scheme Can't wait to figure out what all the symbolism in this video means - floating stuff, who's he talking to on the phone? What's the significance of the dragon? etc
Oh yeah, especially with the light blue repressing tranquility compared to the blurry face chaotic red and then trench’s dark theme. Idk if you caught it but at the very end of the song it sounds like some distorted voice at the end. Wonder what that’s about

and in the video it seems like Tyler isn't happy and sort of being 'controlled'. also Josh's drumstick and the booth are the only yellow thing in this MV. isn't blue like the opposite of yellow or something? so if yellow means hope in Trench, then blue must mean surrender, idk i might be very wrong here.
In all fairness, there really isn't a "typical sounding" TØP song. That's one thing they are known for. I must admit, whenever I get used to one album, and I moved to another, sometimes it takes me a few listens to get used to the new styles/sounds and the new themes. But after a few to several times, the songs get stuck in my head and I can't stop listening to them. Oh, yeah of course Tyler can't really dance, although he's come up with some very legit moves, but that's another of the band's attraction. Just two guys that their fans can relate to.
hey! I hope you don't mind some constructive criticism... on the title, it says "drummer reacts". but... I rarely hear you mention anything about the drums, technique or an analysis. I hope you can talk about it more!
No you’re good, I was literally thinking about this yesterday. Was like other than the fact of me having my kit in the background I talk nothing about the actual drum parts 😂 so thanks for the constructive criticism
They have evolved a lot. Loving the upbeat vibe with throwbacks to their earlier sound.
