      this is so difficult in real games, I do deagle only deathmatch sometimes purely focusing on hitting 1 taps and not caring if I get shot and I'll win with like 95% hs, but it's just impossible for me to try to convert this into real games so I just end up with shaky aim and missing my initial shots then getting killed

    Tracking training improves smooth aim a lot basically , I experienced that as well , I’ve seen my flicks improving as well with the tracking for some reason I can adjust better

    • @lolcsgomoments2547
      @lolcsgomoments2547 Год назад

      Hi, I've always been a wrist aimer, and recently trying to get my arm involved too. When it comes to tracking, do you use your wrist or arm? Or can you use both? I suck at tracking even with my wrist, but its still a lot better than my arm, I really cant see myself using arm to track, I feel a lot slower with it. Thanks in advance

    • @PabloCarballo88
      @PabloCarballo88 Год назад +4

      @@lolcsgomoments2547 i try to never use the wrist to adjust , basically track with the arm and adjust with fingers, by using a claw grip esentially, wrist will be involved no mather what in reallity, but i allways try to avoid using it as much as possible, i feel like that way i will avoid carpal tunnel in the future, hopefully (also i use 34cm 360 if that helps)

    • @notMrBustFn
      @notMrBustFn Год назад +2

      @@PabloCarballo88honestly it’s more accurate to use your wrist to track unless the player you’re tracking goes too far and you have to start using your arm. I found if you drag your arm down, only vertically, and use your wrist to actually track left and right. Using the arm to control the recoil and the wrist to track allows you to aim with your wrist while your aim is unaffected by recoil, because you’re controlling it with your arm which is separate from your wrist. U just gotta practice it and make sure you bring your arm on the y axis and your wrist on the x axis. It’s helped me aim so much, you just have to get used to it

    West proter, I don't understand why palm grip would be considered so much more restrictive to finger motion than claw grip. The only thing that gets in the way of finger motion for me is whether or not the base of my palm is attached to the mouse or not, which is it for both palm and claw. Unrelated but I'm also trying to switch off of a palm grip right now, i just find hard to do on my deathadder v3 pro.

    • @lullaby-

      with palm ur fingers on the side of the mouse are straigt and u cant control it that much. while with claw ur area of impact is way smaller and u get alot more control

    I was wondering if I should be relaxed when flicking or tense up? My wrist specifically, I feel more crispy and in control when I tense my aim, but I feel like that's inconsistent.

    • @WestProter
      @WestProter  Год назад +3

      Tension is a spectrum, no tension and you can’t move, too much and you can’t move. Usually people try to stay close to the minimum to prevent injury though most who’ve tried to learn less tension after already hitting a high level haven’t seen major score impacts positive or negative from what I’ve seen

  • @MachadoAndrew

    I feel like I will rely to much on arm aiming when i am trying to be smooth
    Also this could be due to having a mousepad that’s softer than normal

    • @WestProter
      @WestProter  Год назад +4

      In wider angle scens (past wrist rom) you need to mostly use arm. For small angle stuff check out syw scens (smooth your wrist). They’re designed to take the space your wrist uses and no more

      Think about why/how you struggle, sort the scenarios by tracking and find scens that emphasize that. It’s a bit of work, but it’ll find great scenarios. The ones featured in the video have a lot of variants to fit to your ability and usually searching the word “smooth” comes up with a lot of beginner results

      *sorry bad english
      press button lightly, dont put too much pressure since your wrist and and forearm become stiff...
      maybe what you should do is try to not panicking and hold button calmly while tracking (like when you not into fight and just strolling around map)
      usually i do is when not into shooting enemy, i just change to melee, hold my firing button down and tracking friend movement while strolling (by this you can even train your strafe tracking, if you play apex you can even train your vertical tracking somehow)
