- D-Sides, a mod I've been working on for a while, finally got the long awaited 3.0 update... with week 6, 7, and tons of other fun surprises!

This feels less like "BF was sucked into the game" and more like "BF went into the sewer and found something he shouldn't have", which honestly I love.
Fun fact (not official): The head splitting part is a reference to how the Virtual Console gave you head splitting headaches by playing it

Fun fact: This Mario's design is based on a graphics glitch on the Virtual Boy that caused Mario's face graphics to not work properly, resulting in a "split face"

It’s not a glitch but rather the the graphics for that screen all laid in the game’s code
The way it is laid out gives the impression of an eyeless Mario’s face being split open with a bunch of mouths in the middle. Def a reference to that.
I like to think that since he was actually just a normal Mario once who tried to make his virtual world come to life like how Nintendo wanted it to, however the amount of power it took eventually caused him to split into pieces and now his console is forever cursed.
I LOVE D-SIDES, they just don’t make an ordinary remix. They make it sound completely different but with the same style/melody. Their creative with designs and character choices, and talented… I LOVE THIS. Well done D-Sides team✨

Right after D-Sides Mario.exe transforms into his true form, around 1:17, it almost, to me, feels like the Second Half of the Mighty Phase of D-Sides Cycles or the Final Phase of the same song. Not sure if anyone else has that same feeling. It just has that same sort of feel. I don't know how to describe it.
This design is absolutely amazing. Really intimidating and actually feels like a horror character.

One has been abandoned and went insane, opting to revenge on daddy dearest when he gets the opportunity, while Virtual.rom is a spirit who wants to be left alone, and tries to scare Boyfriend off

Has anybody noticed that the first phase it looks like he is wearing a mask
When I first saw the teasers, I was convinced that it was some disembodied horror wearing Mario's body as a costume or something.
It's not a mask, it's Mario ROM's Faker Form. He Has his face still to look normal while menacing.
It looks like an entity hidden on Mario that can’t control his expression until It just gets completely deformed

@@foxonrye they didn't swap them at all. Mighty isn't in role of Sonic, and Sonic himself, along with his friends, exist completely normally. It's just that, when creating D-side version of Sonic.exe, they decided to make creepy version of Mighty instead of Sonic, but this doesn't change anything at all
@@ibis03I thought it was like Normal Sonic, except with some of the cast still there. Like, Fang, Ray and Mighty were just a team like Chaotix and just show up sometimes. Same for the rest of team Dynamite or whatever it's called.

@@rigboy1234 Okay. Honestly, I made my own lore and stuff for my theory. Like, Sonic 1 Mighty and Sonic are playable both having different stories for why they are fighting Maria. Sonic 2, Ray is playable. Sonic 3 Tails, Claws, and Fang get playable. I kinda like the idea of Ray, Mighty, and Fang just like a extra team. Like for Sonic adventure they show up in D-Side.

No, this is the D-Side version of Super Horror Mario.
While yes, both VirtualROM and Mr. V are very similar entities being in virtual boy, they are both different: Mr. V waits for victims to enter his domain to drive their minds into insanity, much like Horror Mario but minus the insanity part.
VirtualROM, on the other hand wants to live alone in his world, and doesn't want people entering his world, being the opposite of Horror Mario. He'd force his trespassers to leave if they dont let him live in peace.

а что он похож? я думал, что D-Side значит полное переосмысление персонажа. Ну или тупо его замена на другого (так например родился Mighty.zip). Но здесь кажется, будто это новый Марио.exe, а не D-Side версия *того-самого* Марио, который обещал явится к каждому, кто обогнал его в картинге.
