Rivers bodies Chris in this! Rivers got that real rap feel no fake act or gimmicks and that 3rd round was pure fire!!
Rivers took this i could relate to him alot more he rapped more and was very composed lee jokes too much for me and didn't rap enough for me to win well done rivers! !

That was a sick battle! Sooo close! Chris Leese is the guy and will always be a GOAT of UK battle rap whether you like him or not! I like his performance here but he had a couple of stumbles and thought Rivers had a slightly cleaner performance! I ent mad at the decision it coulda gone either way! Rivers run in PB upto the title match and him winning it has solidified him as top tier! He needs to be mentioned more in the same conversations as man like Gem, Quill, Shox, Dialect etc!! Anyway looking forward to both of these dons battles this season!!

Chris Leese was weak in this battle, I rate Chris he’s been killing it for years just a shame he didn’t come hard in this or he’d of taken the title, Big up Rivers though first battle of his I’ve seen and he deserved the win, he will be a big player this year!

This is bullshit, Chris clearly won this - Where the fuck has Don't Flop gone we need them back - I don't consider this guy to be the UK champion - please let me know what anybody else thinks about this. It was close but Chris out-performed him with experience, presence, and rebuttals. I don't think Rivers punched often enough or hard enough to earn the title in this match.

The result surprised me - I had Chris taking this. I rate Rivers but I think Chris understands the "entertainment" part of rap battles far better than Rivers.

I get that it's not the levels of some of the classic title matches, but i really liked you're 3rd rivers, tbh i had it 1-1 until last round, thought clearly took 3rd nice round. i think is more to come though.

Mediocre performances for a 'title' match, dodgy win, no judges filmed and some funky edits, equally dodgy crowd: great way to start the new season.

Lack of views is due to rivers being insanely boring despite having bars. Same w Frankie Phraser, no matter how well they write, their performance always leaves something to be desired

they already have a cup as well as battler of the season trophy and manager of the season trophy. last season was mostly based on team points this year they have added individual player points

Theyre not. Slate was clean from start of PB 1st season and both accrued enough points to get this battle.
I think it's unfair to call them middle tier, rivers had some real fire bars there with clear strong flow in the argument he was making. I've always been back and forth with Chris Leese, He's a passionate performer and a risk taker that isn't afraid to try something new, doesn't always work for him and It's just unfortunate that this really wasn't one of his strongest performances as pre-battle i would have had him to win it.
As for Rivers winning the belt, you have to remember a title is a title and that title is new, It is not by any stretch saying that Rivers is the absolute best in the league, but he's got the title now and he set the bar with this performance. Going forward that title isn't gonna be worth anything until there's a champion out there who's racked up 3 or 4 definitive defenses. Could rivers be that guy? Who knows... But i'm sure am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Didn't feel like a top tier match. Rivers deserved the win but primarily because this is one of Chris's worst performances on PB so far, too many pauses and not enough content.
