My favorite Top Chef moment was when Gregory made vegan soup for Kelly Clarkson and she goes, “you tricked me!” 😂❤

I love that Top Chef paid tribute to Carson Gulley. In addition to his work as a chef for UW, he was head of the Madison chapter of the NAACP. He and his wife were not allowed to buy a house in Madison because of their race so they petitioned the City Council and eventually got a fair housing act passed making discrimination illegal. He was the first African American to have a UW campus building named after him.
I loved it as well. As a Black history enthusiast and Africana Studies Major- I'm ashamed to say I never heard of him until watching the episode! Looking forward to learning more about his legacy- thanks for adding these extra great bits about the NAACP , housing advocacy, etc.

Kristen is an amazing host and this shows it even better than Top Chef itself! Wish Top Chef would let us get to know the chefs themselves better but thats more of a producer/editor issue.

If yall ever wanted to know what chefs do when we try new combos.. when we have a eureka moment it’s this.. lol make something, try with this and butcher the original idea lol
Kristen is a terrible host. She seems perfectly nice- which is NOT good tv. She's boring. Her face doesn't move. Her critiques are soft. She has no "it" factor. She hasn't worked as a host on ANY show. All her shows get canceled.
I hope Top Chef isn't next.

Oh, and the host doesn't need to be a chef. They need to be interesting.
Bring back Padma, with all due respect, Kristen has no charisma at all, comes off as self-involved and awkward. She's a wonderful chef, stick to that. Not because she is tall and skinny means she is meant to be a tv personality, she has NO personality!

I totally agree!!! She was a fine guest judge but she's a TERRIBLE host!
I had to stop watching! She ruined the show. I mean, her and the bad cast and dumb challenges. But her boring hosting really highlights the lackluster cast.
