If you click on the eye when you view a card, you can see the full artwork

don't know if you've noticed but you can open up any card's full artwork by right clicking on it and clicking the eye icon on the bottom right. Just in case you'd like to look at the full compositions lol. I always get distracted in this game looking at the art; they're full of small easter eggs, references to other characters and sometimes even just present the same scene from different angles. Literally the only card game with so much effort put into the card art, that it you can get entire mini stories from being curious and observant :D

Nice, I see that you no longer forget to attack when possible/viable. But remember, you are not forced to summon/play a unit before attacking, you can attack right away, that's useful when your opponent doesn't have any blockers, if you play a card before attacking, you will give them the chance to summon a unit to block you.
Vi has the keyword challenger (the little orange hook, you can hover on it), it means that when attacking, you can drag any enemy a put them in front of Vi to force them to block with that card
that blue eye thing lets you see what will happen in the current situation. and to the left, you have a scroll that lets you see the history, the past actions that happened. #JoinTheGloriousEvolution
Remember if you want to better appreciate the art, click on the bottom right button when you are inspecting a card

There are more voice acted tutorial missions in the menu under play then challenges. You don't need to do all of them, they add more every expansion to teach the new cards, but Delightful Agony until Get Excited are the rest of the basics, and those are voice acted. After that they are just teaching keywords. Ice and Wind is also voice acted, but is about a specific mechanic. Probably worth doing.

    • @georgieegames

Think I am going to do a video on the challenges :) tysm for watching hehe

  • @GCWeber
    @GCWeber 2 года назад +3

Two things: if a unit has chalenger, you can drag an enemy unit to it to force it to block said unit. It seems you already kinda knew this though, so I will say more specifically that Vi has challenger.
Second, you don't need to attack with every unit you have on the field. It's sometimes better to just attack with some and leave others in reverse (especially those with valuable noncombat passive effects).

    • @georgieegames
      @georgieegames  2 года назад

Good to know :) i will try to implement some of this next time :) thanks for the advice!

Great video, dont know if you had any background on card games but you learn really fast. I've tried to teach my friends to play it but they dont learn half as fast as you do.
If you get tired of playing on the channel you should at least record the reaction to every card level up animation, the ones you saw and the ones from the tutorial were when the game first released, the animation on the cards are so much better now, the new cards are insane

Ok, I lied, one more. Here's a keyword list:
Attune (weird little spiky blue bubble): When you play this card, refill one spell mana.
Augment (wrench): Whenever you play a created card, grant this +1/+1 [if a card says "grant," that buff is permanent].
Barrier (shield/yellow filter and border): Barrier blocks the first damage a unit would take (if a unit has barrier or if you grant it barrier, even if it was unused, the barrier goes away immediately at the end of the turn).
Challenger (wierd orange hook thing): You can force an enemy unit to block this card.
Deep (anchor): Has +3/+3 as long as you have had 15 or less cards in your deck at any point during the game.
Elusive (eye with a slash thru it/purple squiggles): Can only be blocked by other elusive units.
Ephemeral (purple hourglass): When you play an ephemeral unit, it dies at the end of the turn (or when it strikes).
Fated (spiky thing and a plus sign): The first time you targetappor support this unit each round, grant it +1/+1.
Fearsome (spooky face): Can only be blocked by units with three or more attack.
Fleeting (grey hourglass/green squiggles; indicators only appear while this card is in your hand): You have until the end of your turn to play this card or it disappears (if a unit has fleeting and you play it, however, it behaves like a normal unit
Formidable (hammer and shield): Strikes with its health rather than its attack.
Fury (vague approximation of a dragon's head): Whenever this unit slays another unit, grant it +1/+1.
Impact (meteor striking the ground): Whenever this unit strikes [anything], it deals one damage to the enemy nexus.
Lifesteal (drop of blood with a plus sign): When this unit deals damage [to anything in any way], it heals you for that amount.
Lurk (shark fin): Whenever you attack, if a card with lurk is on top of your deck, grant all of your lurkers everywhere [hand, deck, field, heck even lurkers that don't actually exist yet] +1/+0.
Overwhelm (weird symbol that kinda looks like an eye): When attacking, if it deals excess damage to its blocker, the excess is dealt to the enemy nexus.
Quick attack (sword): Deals combat damage before its blocker when attacking.
Double attack (two swords): Deals combat damage twice while attacking, once when it would deal first strike damage, and then again when it would deal damage without first strike (this keyword is extremely uncommon and typically only appears on the level twos of certain champions who have first strike in their level one form).
Regeneration (health potion): This unit regains any health it lost in a given turn at the end of said turn.
Scout (sword with wings): When you attack, if all of your attackers have scout, you can attack a second time after your scout attack is done (the second time you can attack with non-scouts; you will not get an additional attack if you only attack with scouts the second time).
Spellshield (yellow thing blocking a spell): Negates the first enemy spell or skill that would affect it. Unlike barrier, spellshield lasts until it is dispelled.
Tough (fortress; golden metal health): Takes one less damage from all sources.
There's also a handful of negative keywords as well:
Can't Attack (sword with a slash through it) and Can't Block (shield with an x): Self-explanatory.
Frostbite (snowflake): Has base attack 0 this turn (you can buff the attack of a frostbitten unit though; it took me way too long to figure that out).
Silence (speech bubble with a slash through it): Disables all of a unit's effects and positive keywords as long as it is silenced.
Stunned (purple swirl): Can't attack or block this turn.
Vulnerable: Basically the inverse of challenger (units with vulnerable can be forced to block any enemy attacker, even enemy attackers without challenger.
Some additional terms that aren't exactly keywords:
Attach: Attach this unit to another allied unit, granting the latter certain buffs as long as the former remains attached. The former cannot be targeted. When the unit an attach unit is attached to dies, the attach unit returns to its owner's hand.
    Blade Dance [X]: Start a free attack with [X] fleeting 1/1 blade[s].
Capture: When a unit captures another unit, the latter unit is removed from the board until the former leaves the board.
Drain [X]: Deal [X] to [something] to restore one health to your nexus.
Manifest: Pick one of three [cards from a specific category] to add to your hand.
Invoke: Manifest but specifically for celestials.
Nab: Draw a non-champion card from the bottom of your opponent's deck.
Obliterate: Remove a card from the game entirely, as if it never existed in the first place.
Predict: Pick one of three cards from your deck to move to the top of your deck.
Rally: Gain an attack token if you don't already have one.
Recall: Return a unit to its owner's hand.
Reforge: Create a random blade fragment in hand.
Toss [X]: Obliterate [X] nonchampion card[s] from the bottom of your deck.
Behold [something]: Grants an additional effect when played if you have [that thing] on your side of the board or in your hand.
Enlightened: You have a maximum of 10 (non-spell) mana.
Play vs. Summon: Playing a card refers to actually, you know, playing it from hand. Summoning is just when a unit or landmark enters the board under your control. Playing counts as summoning but summoning does not necessarily count as playing.
Slay: To kill a unit (doesn't have to be your enemy's unit).
Alleigance: When played, gains an additional effect if the top card of your deck is from the same region.
Countdown [X]: Appears on artifacts. Destroys itself in [X] turns.
Daybreak: When played, gains an additional effect if it's the first card you've played this turn.
Nightfall: When played, gains an additional effect if it's not the first card you've played this turn.
Plunder: When played, gains an additional effect if you've dealt damage to the enemy nexus this turn.
Reputation: Gains an additional effect in hand (usually cost reduction) if you've struck for 5 or more damage at least four times this game.
Strike: To directly deal damage with a unit (encompasses attacking, blocking, and noncombat effects that say strike (does not apply if that unit has zero attack, unless it also has formidable)).
Support: When a unit with support attacks, give the unit attacking to the right of it a certain buff this turn.
Finally, "strongest" and "weakest" are pretty straightforward, but know that cards that specify strongest or weakest consider attack first and use health to break any ties.
