I was wondering who these new ships caters to because with tier IX premium economy, if you can automate the "get in -> burst once or twice with the improved ammo -> go next" process, you can probably have a steady stream of free xp and credits. But then I remember WG stated that there's no bot in the game and since it's WG who said it, it must be true. So I'm back to square one.
its amazing: WG keeps and keeps going in the same direction. They started dumbing ships down with the cv-rework, which then made these ships miore playable for bad players, yes, but also inproportional stronger in the hands of good players and specially good players in divs. As a result they lost a loot of their middleclass players (solo and casual clans), which then led to a higher percentage of "plain bad" players, CVs and said try-hard div divs as a result. To compensate for that loss, they dumbed the game down even more. This time subs, certain dds and - as the most obvious crown jewelss - that idiotic pan-american BB line. This will lead to even more player loss in the middleclass and in the end the mm will be left with either 40%ers on 20-30k average dmg, who either die within 3 minutes or drive scared circles in the spawn and uniicums/super unicums in divs and broken ships, which is something we alrdy see quite often and is the reason for all the steamrolls and the general scarcity of close, fun battles these days. It's basically as Flolo said: they designed themself in a corner they cant get out anynmore, because it would mean , they had to chose between the payerbase they are left with and gambling on getting old players back, if they would turn the rudder and went for a more balanced approach again. And we all know that the latter will never happen. At the same time they keep desiging ships, where it appears as if the people, who are told to design them do not know about either Cvs or subs. So mayn designes that WOULD be fun if you look at them isolated and if it was just the core gamepaly without planes, which then simply dont work in cv-battles. At the same time that other disconnected part of WG KEEPS pushing more plane spotting in the game-its baffling really. Its like watching a game developer with a split personality.
In their defence, they might be unable to make the salvo a consumable, because they can't code it without breaking normal salvos, changing ammo types and (for some reason) spotting
Remember 5 seconds of Combat Instruction is fucking insane too since they can pop that CI, reload the heal, then heal, and while the heal is healing the secondary is charging the CI again, and once the Heal expire, instant CI and the cycle start again. This ship won't die as long as it is keep fighting and with 6 heal it will throw out health left and right until the enemy is either dead or it has absorb so much potential damage that one skill pop and she got another heal...
I have an idea for WG: Offmap gaming. That's the space beyond the map borders where you will find carriers and cruisers, that have to get past a one-drop chance at the start of the game.
I am worried that WG is testing with these low HP starting ships if they can sell those rare ships like Georgia but with nerfed stats but able to build up to normal level. (Bro, we sell you broken racing car you always desired to have, you can die easy, but don't worry, if you survive 1st 3min, you can can that full fat experience for discounted price.) Also WG : Superships with altered shell penetration and accuracy are already in game, so its fair to bring it to all tiers. (WG: Everyone loves superships, accordingly to our survey, community, data etc😊)
What's the chances Valparaiso gets a Maine-esque full hull expansion while retaining the full citadel armour.....and making the side of the "torpedo belt" 50ishmm to let her face tank everything

Huron at T7 is basically the same design; a copy/paste Haida, gets no smoke but gets speed boost and short range hydro to go with it's heal along with Haida's excellent conceal. And it's a great cap-contester; go in, trade shots, run away, heal, rinse and repeat. The lack of smoke means you can get punished and die really easily if you don't choose engagements carefully. On the whole, Huron is a really good ship. So why didn't WG just copy that for Eskimo? As far as I'm aware Huron was really well received generally so WG know players like that design. The enhanced HE on a Cossack hull with Huron consumables could have been a really strong DD. I worry Eskimo as is will be a bit meh, which is a shame for a ship with a storied history. Battlepass freebie incoming?
Like WGs effort on making new bbs and then WGs effort in making new cruisers or dds is just god aweful and senseless..i mean yeh even with these new bbs its senseless but wtf
Not sure if these guys know anything about their game. Eskimo doesn't look that great, but claiming that it loses duels to other gunboats and should avoid those engagements seems a bit funny considering that it has the second most DPM on T8 and a heal (even if just a small one).
Although I dislike the concept of giving Chile ships in WoWs as much as everyone else (because I'm Peruvian) Their BB only has 9.7 rudder because it's copy pasted off of Vanguard
Co-op mode looking more viable every Flamu video. What's the point of playing against real people when they have an unrealistic advantage over you with very limited to no counter play. Sure, it sucks playing against bots, but at least I actually get to play the game.
Seeing those new limited shell mechanic could mean they either/both 1. Make premium shell, which ruin the game by being pay to win shell type 2. Limited normal HE shell which could stop people from dealing damage regardless of angle all the time ( that's why nobody can push in Asia server unless against ships with AP only shell )

They are gaslighting noobs with the idea that Open Water Gunboats is a *thing*. The only real "open water" brawlnig DDs have upwards of 45kts+. That needs to be a starting point for this "type" of DD. if such a thing exists.

My bottom line is I like playing ships. And ever since Operations were open for Tier 9 and above, things went bonkers with the release of latest ships. Balancing was not really catered for. If you don't like to play Randoms, there's another Game mode you can play. I suspect there are fewer people complaining now compared to last time.

Eskimo does have 30 mm penetration, instead of 20. Not sure if that makes up for all of the losses, but it should be mentioned.

I would guess that a separate team is involved for each class, and nobody talks to each other.
