Although related, Russian brown bears don't grow as big as Kodiak bears, which are the largest brown bear subspecies; and yet in fights with Siberian tigers they average 50/50 in kills against each other. Polar bears on average are bigger than Kodiaks, so I believe they've got the edge over even the largest Siberian tigers.

Polar bears run like hell from the mere smell of a a grizzly bear, despite being a lot bigger. This video doesn't take into consideration that a large polar bear at or near peak body mass is so well insulated with fat that it can't exert itself at the warmer extremities of its range because it will literally, fatally overheat. This is by no means a mismatch in favor of the bear.
