I totally agree with Suisei on pre-recorded vs. live. Nothing wrong with either. imo pre-recorded is great so that there aren't any technical errors but I love live stuff just for that pure experience, mistakes and all! LIKE IN TOWA'S LIVE WHEN SHE SANG SANVITALIA AND STRUGGLED SINGING THE SONG BECAUSE SHE WAS CRYING, YOU CAN'T GET THAT IN A PRE-RECORDED SHOW AND MAN TOWA'S SHOW WAS SO GOOD GO WATCH IT Thanks for the subs!
Seeing her break down into tears uncontrolably midway through one of her songs was perhaps the most beautiful way I'd be reminded that my beloved oshi is also human. Seeing it live how her emotions of finally making it to a solo concert and disbelief at such a venue be packed to the brim with Kenzokus swelled so much that you first hear it as little tremors in her voice growing further and further until she was so shattered she couldn't sing was an experience of a lifetime. And to top it off, if you listened closely... you can hear the crowd continue the song in her stead when she couldn't hold back her tears. (And in my own home, where I was sick, I also did.) Just like the imagery in her very first original, we are her companions that stay with her every step of the way. Thank you for being the one to save me, Towa-sama. My support will always be for you as my token of appreciation for turning me around at the darkest time of my life.
I’ve watched towa’s live in entirety probably 7-8 times now and definitely agree, it feels so good to hear the imperfections. As a viewer it’s awesome to know how real it truly is! Best performance I’ve watched in a long time. I hope I can go to her second live in person!
The best thing about Towa is every time she does something and falls short of her own expectations she comes back with a vengeance on her next tries and wows people even harder then her previous attempts. She gives 110% all the time and works hard to improve.
I absolutely loved Towa's live. She was so nervous at the start but after the first song and a halfish she was on fire. You could tell once she started her emoi section of the concert she was starting to really feel the emotions. Her trying her hardest to hold it all back while singing Sanvitalia and ultimately breaking into full tears just right before the music starts to pick up and powering through towards the end is imo an amazing and touching scene. Also just as she had "mistakes" many of her other songs were even better then the album versions. Which is saying a lot since her album is a banger!
I sat there watching a kami-oshi of mine perform her first concert at 3AM I went to bed loving my Kami-oshi even more. From the whole performance, to watching her fight the nerves, the song before the encore T_T. I just sat there wanting to scream for her but i couldn't because it was 3am And you shouldn't be afraid of mistakes because they are nearly unavoidable. Just go out and do what ever you are doing the best you can. That's really all you can do
I wish I can tell her "YOU ARE THE BEST TOWA-SAMA!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!" gosh, she was so nervous at the 1st song when i watched it even only in broke-gang livestream
I do admit that the early day lives, while finicky in production, was definitely a great experience because it was live I remember for an OkaKoro live, Okayu was dying immediately after finishing Alien Alien
I think having some pre-recorded also helps with scheduling, someone can suddenly get sick or have to be somewhere else and people would be disappointed if they didn't show up even if it was a valid reason So yeah I understand them doing it more often
Perfect yura yura~! It takes some resolve to do things live especially when mistakes happen that are not in your control, like when Sora had audio issues. Towa was nervous at the start but damn did she deliver and her emotions shone through. Hope she had fun
I enjoy watching a live more If I see them making mistakes here and there, Its when I know that theyre actually doing it right there right now, and theyre doing their best.
You can't blame cover/holo for the prerecorded stuff especially the collab song since talents have their own schedule. With how bigger holo now compared to before and they still understaff even if they have new studio. Iirc they do recruitment for fresh graduate lately and offer training for it
Completely agree with her point. The atmosphere between prerecorded and actual live is different. By noticing some mistake, it feels like the livers trying their best to satisfy their audience. And you can feel their existence even though their appearance is virtual.
"Mistakes tskr" wise words lol. Personally I also appreciate mistakes, not that I want them to happen, but because it brings humanity and authenticity. Also Suisei zatsudan while playing intense Tetris is as crazy as ever lol
I totally agree with Suisei on this. Pre-recorded is good because you can do a concert or live without any mistakes and super organized, even more if you have a lot of collabs on it like anniversaries ones, so it's easier for everyone to participate without conflicted schedules. Live performances, on other hand, is way more impressive and gives a totally different feeling. You can see the singer trying their best, they interacting with the crowd and even mistakes makes them feel more human and let people connect to them even more. Suisei's live concert this year is the prime example of this. She was there singing non stop, so people are extremely impressed with her stamina and power for singing so long, she talking and interacting with the people watching and everything else.
knowing towa sama, she wanted to do the absolute best for her audience. no! no! no worries towa sama! YOU are awesome no matter what. 😊 also, the talented singer suisei said she makes mistakes too.
Love triangle has entered the shuffle arc. My favorite one. Definitely underated Meanwhile the "comet chan almost homeless arc" is a bit mid as we didn't get a follow up adventure
Live or pre-recorded, I'd love to be able to see the behind the Scenes tech work on it. Virtual cams, filters/shaders, etc... You can do more polishing and effects with pre-recorded since there's no real time requirement, but it's fascinating to see what they can get done real time, and I hope Cover is investing in doing more with real time events.
You don't have to say it Suisei, I will do it for you, prerecorded is fine and all, but live performances are where it's at, and I'll take those 100% of the time. When it's all done in advance there's no pressure and no stakes, it's much less impressive, you just do it over and over again until you get the take you're happy with. At that point it's not really special enough to take notice of
I'll have to say screw the pre-recorded stuff, the core appeal of a live is the direct connection to the performer and it's the only thing that separates it from simply watching a video. We all know that Suisei obviously can't say anything too controversial against her own company.
I noticed a lot of lives have been getting pre-recorded, especially the en/id 3d debut stuff. bit of a bummer imo, but I guess for those with the kinds of activities they're doing it makes sense to pre-record and process the mocap after the fact.
I miss the days when all hololive members that is not Suisei/Sora (and a few others) do 3d concerts and shows live-live. It's got its charms and makes for rare memorable moments like Mio barfing on stage. Now almost everything is prerecorded slop.
I wouldn’t call the concerts slop as they still prepared and performed it for the fans but I understand where you are coming from with the feeling not having the actual live feel. But we can’t really blame them right? As the company grows bigger, there are more talents and it’s hard to fit everyone into the same schedule so it can’t be helped 🥺
Slop? Plenty of the prerecorded concerts are pretty great. Marine's live where she had Fubuki and Mio commentating was one of the best concerts in Hololive history, and I believe it was prerecorded.

your comment made my day

Its cute seeing Suisei being a supportive gf with Towa
> gf
Aqua: ( ・᷄ὢ・᷅ )
How many gf does Suisei have right now?
Towa be like
"This is my gf Suisei, and this is my gf's gf Akutan"

"It's important to have the mental strength to not be shaken by mistakes."
Well spoken.
Now, if only all of Japan would adopt that mindset. Not everything has to be perfect.
Suisei really understands it.
bruh suisei is talking about serious stuff while in pinch in tetris i literally forgot she is playing while talking about towa's concert lmao
"Yeah! Mistakes are appreciated!"
There's a reason I wasn't bothered hearing some coughing at one point in Suisei's 2nd sololive

noticing mistakes actually makes me feel better as a fan because it just shows how much you know their songs. Mistakes TSKR indeed.

The mistakes are what makes it perfect.
What a supportive comet suisei is
The sui is so supportive of our beloved angel

TowaSui love
The raw emotion that we felt from Towa's sololive is definitely welcomed.. It has been a while since we see a very genuine concert like that
Completely agree with her point. The atmosphere between prerecorded and actual live is different. By noticing some mistake, it feels like the livers trying their best to satisfy their audience. And you can feel their existence even though their appearance is virtual.
I wanna watch Towa-sama's concert so badly...!!!
Demo... okane ga nai... 😭😭😭
"Mistakes tskr" wise words lol. Personally I also appreciate mistakes, not that I want them to happen, but because it brings humanity and authenticity. Also Suisei zatsudan while playing intense Tetris is as crazy as ever lol
live is superior to pre-recorded anyways

We are here for the journey not for the results
-someone who followed towa since her debut
knowing towa sama, she wanted to do the absolute best for her audience.
no! no! no worries towa sama! YOU are awesome no matter what. 😊
also, the talented singer suisei said she makes mistakes too.
TOWA-SUI IS REALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
😏 lets go.
It's stuff like this why Suisei is my oshi.
Love triangle has entered the shuffle arc. My favorite one. Definitely underated
Meanwhile the "comet chan almost homeless arc" is a bit mid as we didn't get a follow up adventure
I'm grateful that the monitor I'm using is big enough to hide my nodding in this entire clip. Sui-chan is based.
Both has good point.. Indeed.. The fact. But part of charm is see those mistake.
Mistakes are how you learn!

cute sui-chan! respectable opinion, always trade-offs in these lives, stabiity over live genuine-ness. i'm fine with either.

You were making so much sense until you said "slop". With how busy Holomems are, prerecorded performances can't be helped.
