Karen’s only mistake was that she wasn’t Pam.
I had a dream that there was an alternative Timeline where Karen and Jim stayed together and Jenna left the show to do Parks and Rec instead of Rashida.
We could have seen a random crossover event and an awkward reunion with Jim and Pam in Pawnee. That would have been something.
She was way better than Pam. Pam flirted with Jim while she was engaged. Then almost going for the crew guy when she was with Jim. Karen wS way better

I feel bad for Karen, she was so invested with their relationship but she was taken for granted. Not to mention, she can speak French too.
She was too clingy and jelaous. She wasn't chill at all, she was also really lame, annoying and not hot at all, especially compared to Pam

David Wallace totally seems like a corporate higher up that you would actually like to work for. He was serious and smart but had a sense of humor and had the patience to tolerate his underlings personality quirks and he actually was right in thinking Michael was a good guy and manager despite his awkward and unprofessional behaviour.
Every time i thought how cool it would be to see a Parks and Rec crossover, i remembered Rashida Jones was Karen on The Office which makes it impossible. Damn it, Karen!

KachOof . . . I feel like this wasn't even a prank. I feel like she was serious and she lied to Jim. She has a lot of relationship problems like Ann Perkins from Parks and Rec. This proved the theory that Karen changed her name, moved to Indiana, and met Andy Dwyer, her first real relationship after so many disasters, but then obviously, Ann falls apart and dates a ton of other guys in Parks and Rec

I think Jim and Karen's personalities clash a bit here, Jim likes to prank everyone but doesn't with his partner, because he feels most comfortable with them and trusts them wholly, whereas Karen probably only feels comfortable enough to prank someone she is close to.

@@RM-gz7cs what i like a lot is that the producers from the office made parks and rec, they saw huge potential in reusing karen’s personality which fit into that show well.
It's more that their senses of humor differ. Like him and Pam are always on the same wave length. It was also more of Karen being REALLY into Jim and him not so much as well

I think Jim and Pam where always soulmates but I never blamed Karen for getting in the middle. She realized this and moved on from Jim. I'm just glad she found happiness again with another.

Why do people have such a problem with Karen? To me, Pam just started to shine on "Beach Day," but the qualities that she began to show right then, such as confidence and forthrightness, Karen had already demonstrated soon after she was introduced so I would argue further developed. She did show some insecurity, but that was because of the others talking about Jim and Pam. I think a lot of people saw her as an obstruction to the whole Jim and Pam thing, which I understand, and I think that taste has a lot to do with it, but for who I'd want for myself, Karen was a lot more on the level. I know I'm in the minority there, though.
Jesse Beeson couldn't have said it better myself. I understand why she needs to be villified for the good of the show but she was a good person and took her hardship like a champ.

Jim really didn't enjoy his entire night and in the end ...he was disinterested in that kind of relationship. Who does that.
Even though I like Jim and Pam, I always felt bad for Karen. She never did anything wrong. As many have already stated- Karen's mistake was that she wasn't Pam. At least when it came to Roy, you can point out many mistakes w/ him being wrong for Pam. I always felt like Karen deserved a bit more closure and a proper ending from Jim even though she wasn't a main character.
I KNOW I’m in the minority here, but as much chemistry as Jim had with Pam I STILL preferred Karen. She’s more attractive to me and she didn’t really play ANY games when it came to them getting together which I appreciate.

Jim would've dated Karen for far longer, they might've gotten married as well (and Karen was a super cool partner, imo).
