I MISS this place so much, my getaway destination. So beautiful. Stay safe. From Namibia
Ah, hopefully you can get back here as soon as thing open up again :) We might be swopping places as we're planning on Namibia road trip sometime soon a well, love it there!
Where are u originally from
I'm an American and I spent last week in Cape Town. It is so insanely beautiful! It's just sad that there is so much crime. I was robbed by two men with knives while walking the beach. The police were only 200 meters away and when I told them what happened, they didn't even care. I still love South Africa and I still love Cape Town. I'm able to look past it's flaws and love it for the good things. It's so beautiful and the Afrikaans/English culture is amazing. ❤
Sorry to hear that
Soooo sorry
Sorry that it happend to you. 😢
True... the police not all of them but most of them yes...thank you.
@@MM-on7th so sad to hear this It happens too often and as you say, the police do nothing It's a sad state our country has fallen into and unfortunately it does not seem to be getting better May get worse . Lawless and dangerous I am saddened as I grew up in a small town near Cape Town and even 25 years ago Cape Town was a safe place xx
Woah those waves are crazy! Stay safe guys!
They were pretty crazy, pity it wasn't breaking over the harbour wall on the other side as well.
We live in a beautiful city. Thanks guys for this amazing vlog.
We sure do & glad that you enjoyed it! x
Aaah, loved this vlog ! Thanks for taking us out and braving the cold for us 💙 weather has been crazy! But we need it 😄💧☔👌 water is life (my Gran would always say☺️)
Love seeing your fam in the vlog! So special!
"Coffee & a rusk" ...you're your mother's daughter alright 😂
Always look forward to more! 🎬
Take care!
Water is life...and best we get used to it with the weather forecast for this weekend ❄ Thanks for watching Jess & keep warm :)
Incredible Vlog Nicole! Never seen Sea Point like that! Loving the epidemic tracks as well🙌
Thanks Edward - I was hoping for Sea Point to be a little bit bigger actually (I think Monday might be the day), but it was still phenomenal to watch :)
Was that a freudian slip? Surely you meant epic tracks?!? 😁😅
Beautiful work guys...Thanks and stay warm and safe.
Thanks Lee-Ann :)
I need to spend a winter in Cape Town soon
As long as you bring your waterproofs, you're good :) My favourite are the Wintery sunny and still days in between the cold fronts that push in!
Always wanted to see a video like this🤙🤙 great video thanks!
Thanks Ibrahim! Hopefully next time I can get the waves breaking over the Kalk Bay harbour wall.
Watching from Zambia
Awesome :) How is everything going in Zambia at the moment with regards to COVID?

As a Capetonian I love the video images you put together, thank you & well done!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks :)
Enjoyed this so much! Now I see Monday is looking mental with swell forecast to hit 9m @ 15sec.
Sheesh, I saw that - that's monstrous. We're unfortunately away but definitely worth a drive to the coast if you're around :)
Thank you for taking me on a lovely scenic trip!
My pleasure, and glad that you enjoyed it :)
Awsome waves nicole. Thanks for sharing. I miss cape Town drives. Here in saldanha we have had some heavy rain and our small beaches have been swamped with water and waves we've never had before. Wild weather this. Take care safe and keep warm xx
Wow, I bet and it looks like we're in a for some more massive swell on Monday which will definitely hit Saldanha. Stay warm this weekend - it looks like it's a wild one :)
@@NicoleEddy1 ❤stay warm too
Thank You for your video, enjoyed the narrative, the company and the beautiful scenery. You are a great ambassador for The Cape! Keep Well, Keep Safe!
Thanks for your lovely comment Brian, I really appreciate it :)
Thanks from down-town AUS for the quick tour.
Thanks for watching :)
Love winter in Cape Town, thanks for sharing.
I agree, Winter in Cape Town is beautiful!
@ 12.44 Seal belly flop and well-timed commentary and laughter 🤣 👌
Haha, he made quite the splash! A very fat seal as a result of being spoilt rotten with fish by the local fisherman 😂
Miss Cape Town so much ,stuck in Zimbabwe
Oh no, well hopefully I could send you some virtual Cape Town vibes!
Nice one. Love seeing the work of other beach /ocean addicts
Nothing quite like watching the ocean unleash it's power in a storm :)
Been here since vlog 1 and I'm not mad about that either. Such an artist
I'm so happy - thanks John! And thank you for the consistent support over the all of the years, it's sure been one hell of a ride :)
Thank you for the great shots of my birth city, from an ocean lover who got stranded in JHB for lockdown. Xx
Ps love your blue eyes, Nicole
Oh my word, that is not ideal at all! Hopefully you can get back home to the ocean soon enough 🤞🏼 Nothing quite like a revitalizing dip in the ocean! Thanks for watching :)
Nice one.. why didn't I stay in Cape Town, with all my relatives there 😕
This is beautiful.. even in bad weather still beautiful hey
Thanks Bridgette & glad that you enjoyed the video :) I must say, I do love Cape Town Winters - and this one has been particularly eventful with wild seas and snow.
Africa 🙌🏽
Wow those are some great waves. Such a nice thing to do with your parents as well. This video made me feel happy. Thanks for showing us.
Thanks Tanner :) My dad loves this type of stuff so he could have driven for hours, haha and as long as my mom has her road trip snacks, she's happy too!
Nicole Eddy LoL. Looked like a great family adventure social distance style. I’m in Vancouver BC and our covid numbers are relatively low here. I think it’s partly because we have such great wide open spaces in nature to get out to. Our top health official here encouraged us to get outside, but practice social distancing early on in the pandemic. I often see families in parks with their chairs having picnics now, and it’s nice to see more of that. Thanks for the reply. 🙂
@@zeballos5757 Great to hear that things are relatively controlled over in BC - as you said, you guys have so much empty wide open spaces that allow for natural social distancing. Unfortunately things just seem to be getting worse here with regards to numbers, but everyone is slowly starting/trying to continue as best as normal. Keep safe!
Nicole Eddy thank you Nicole. Sorry things are so rough there right now. I’ve seen bits of the news. Horrible times for sure. We all have to hang in there and get through as best we can and help each other along. Take care and see you on your next adventure. 🙂
Tis was really beautiful.. Thank you so much
So nice of you, thanks Jennifer :)
Excellent photography!
Thanks Virginia :)
Wow Nicole those waves were massive and the video epic. Thanks for taking us out for a drive in order to remind ourselves just how awesome Mother Nature is! Take care and stay safe. 😎 👏 🇬🇧 Tim
Thanks Tim :) They were massive, and a crazy and beautiful reminder as to how powerful Mother Nature is when she unleashes her force!
Amazing vlog cpt I have spent time there
Thanks for watching!
Hello. I m from Greece. Beautiful video!
Thanks for watching from Greece :)
It's the first of your blogs I have seen. Well done it was wonderful. I too was on the Muizenberg route yesterday. Saw that Rainbow too. You didn't come to my side HOUT BAY!? You and your man are great as are your lovely parents. I will continue to follow you in future. THANK YOU.
Thanks so much for watching and welcome to my channel :) Haha, we actually did Hout Bay the weekend before, and with Chappies closed, thought we might be better off going to Muizenberg! Thanks for your lovely comment & hope that you're keeping warm this weekend!
Missing Tableview and Bloubergstrand, my old areas...now in England....awesome views!
Well glad that I could send some virtual Table View & Blouberg vibes over to you in the UK! Thanks for watching :)
i miss cape town so much i feel like crying
Sending you some virtual Cape Town hugs!
@@NicoleEddy1 thank you,i cant wait until travel opens up again!
Great stuff 👌🏿 now I miss being outside
Haha, after being outside in that weather, you'd be missing being inside :)
Green Point Stadium is the meeting point for people flying out of South Africa on various repatriation flights during this pandemic and lockdown.
I hope you get to see Kalk Bay with some epic breakers over the harbour wall, those stills look epic!
Love your Vlogs 🥰
Ah, I didn't know that - thanks for letting us know Janine :) Thanks for watching and yes, hopefully I can catch some epic breakers over that wall someday!
We will be moving from Limpopo to Bloubergstrand early December I'm soo scared but also excited
How did the moving go
I love my home country its beautiful
We sure are lucky to call this place home!
Seapoint winter waves, FalseBay summer waves. The Dutch knew that by 1655 and made Simonstown their winter port and CT their summer port.
Those shots are amazing! Wish I could have been there in person.... 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thank you :) I think we might be in for a couple more of these heavy storms this Winter!
Insane! Also, amazing content and beautifully edited. +1 subscriber! :)
Thanks so much Scott :) Welcome to the channel!
Cape Town is looking so green this time of the year.
It is very green, and so much water is around which is amazing!
@@NicoleEddy1 Why then there is water scarcity in cape town?
@@mabhodlelajj1195 bacause our watrr does not come from yhe ocean. It comes from yhe mountains and rivers. If it doesn't rain inland, 50km and more away from the ocean, then those rivers don't have enough water to feed the dams that we rely on for drinking water.
Hi hi R7.11 58
Nice video Nicole! Epic! And you got a lot of view on the video. Nice!!
Thank you!! 😁
I miss Cape Town. No idea when I’ll be able to come back especially with COVID around. At least it’ll be easier to get there since the flight stops in CPT before heading on to JNB now.
Hopefully our borders will start opening up again, but we just never know! Good news about the flight coming direct in CT - a lot of airlines are doing that now which is awesome!
love the vlog as always.
at 11:48 seeing all those surfers in the water and the only thing I thought was.... I bet everyone of them peed in their suit to keep warm
Haha, I'm sure they all definitely did :) Although the water temps aren't too bad here in Winter surprisingly!
Your parents are so precious! I look forward to being travel again, SA looks beautiful and I definitely want to check it out 😍
Haha they are quite the pair :) Thanks Taylor - and please shout if you would like any help planning your trip to SA when you decide to come out here! Take care
Cape Town is beautiful ... SA is beautiful :)))
It is beautiful indeed, very lucky to call this place home despite all the endless political drama :)
i live in south africa the oceans are beatiful thanks for the vlog!
I never been in cape town, wish to visit one day ,looking beautiful I love it
Definitely worth a visit sometime, March-May are the best months (in my opinion).
oh yea I once witnesed 3 ft high waves in cape town's Clifton fourth beach & Camps Bay beach in February 2019
Another fabulous video! I've never been to Cape Town but hope to before I leave England and head back to America to retire. GB!💟
Thank for watching! Well, if you ever need any recommendations or help planning your trip, just give me a shout - I'd love to help you out. Take care :)
I love where I live ❤ Kalk Bay is 10 min or so from my home 😊
I miss so much Cape Town.. I can't forget the durbanville.. Paarl.. Samodioum and satlanbouch.. Franzok..

Awesome 😎👍
I’m very proud to heard I’ve been in Australia , It’s same like Mother Nature. 3weeks ago we worth that massive swell. I living at the beach front but I’ve been evacuated. Thank you for the information and actives.

From central coast NSW AUSTRALIA.
I love Cape Town..thanks for the tour....prefer Muizenberg to the other side
So cool
Thanks Spencer :)
Of course it is very dangerous to go to sea when there is a storm. The sea is always so unpredictable and you don't know what to expect from it, but you must admit that the waves are really impressive
Beautiful
Imagine it was a spring tide! Things would be heavy on the high tide
Absolutely!
Does yur mom and/or dad surf? Beautiful country!!!! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Thanks Sandy :) My dad surfs although less these days and as for my mom....that's a hard no 😂
@@NicoleEddy1 lol That's cool!
Cool Shot’s at the end! So sad you missed them. Next time 😉
Next time for sure :)
I MISS CPT SO MUCH BEEN 2 YEARS IN DUBAI NOW AND HAVENT BEEN HOME HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR FOR WINTER
Oh goodness, I think as soon as we're allowed to travel again, you best book a ticket out to Cape Town!
Of course it is very dangerous to go to sea when there is a storm. The sea is always so unpredictable and you don't know what to expect from it, but you must admit that the waves are really impressive.
I live in sea point 😁
Wow! It must have been crazy yesterday right?!
The last time I saw such blue eyes like yours was my late Dad 20 years ago! Great video too, so thank you for that.
Thanks for watching Kevin :)
Yoh!
Remember, sea levels are rising. I googled 'Africa at sea level '. Quite interesting. Mozambique ( Beira ) having problems.
Seeing water rage like that is one of those things that is both terrifying and majestic at the same time. Hey, I wanted to ask a question on your intro. Did you create that or did you have someone create it? I started my RUclips channel and always fancied your (and sliceofmatt’s) intro and was hoping to reach out to your intro creator for my intro. Thanks!
Made by Nella Addy - www.behance.net/gallery/46902033/Nicole-Eddy-Animation
It is terrifying watching those waves surge into the land, but beautiful at the same time! Yes, as David said below, Nella Addy designed it below - her and her team did a great job for a very reasonable price as well :)
David Ritchie appreciate it!
Nicole Eddy I will definitely have to reach out. Appreciate you! Been a long time sub, keep pumping them out! 👊🏻👊🏻
Hi Tote, what a suprise to see you on youtube, hope you are all well. Love Garth
You need a large southerly swell for the waves to crash over the harbour wall. No size westerly storm will have that result.
That makes complete sense, really should have double checked the swell direction before heading out there! Will definitely note that for next time :)
4:24 WOWWWW look at the Mountains!!! :-D
👍
2002 there were 12 m swells biggest ive ever seen by far.
Lovely Nicole. Your family and Blair of course. Does Blair surf as well?
He does surf now and then - however he suffers from lower back issues which he has only just sorted out and surfing seems to aggravate it more.
Seems they missed the worst, saw HUGE waves and water and foam everywhere on facebook.. but nice video.
Keep in mind: Bartolomeu Dias called it the Cape of Storms...
Absolutely, and for good reason :)
I think the record is still storm in 2000 it was unbelievable to behold the swells hit 12m I was part of Clifton surf club the door of the boat house was smashed in there was kelp on the balcony of the club maybe 3 floors up and 80m back from the normal waters edge.
It was biblical
Loved it,the man is a natural RUclipsr but when want a cut of all the coin a youtuber makes he will need to pay his dues. Or something anyway you can only be in the right place for epic shots and you did so good on you.
Haha, there's not much to take a cut from but he's welcome to it regardless 😂 Thanks for watching :)
Dad's a Boer , if it gets cold 2 shorts , with hes disco 4 verry nice
Y’all need to get married and make some babies already. Too cute
FOR REAL!
A generous dose of bicarbonate of soda sprinkled into the cooler box..close lid leave for day..absorbs honks..
Amazing, thank you so much!
