Sounds like you might need a trickle charger just so that the battery doesn’t drain too bad over night. Worth a try to see if that helps.

I had a parasitic draw on my '06 Tahoe. Couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Even bought a fancy tester to find it. Had a wonky headlight switch that would randomly turn off the dash lights and I'd have to wiggle the crap out of it to get them back on. Replaced that and BAM! No more parasitic draw. Food for though...

Harbor freight sells a mini solar panel you could suction cup or maybe double side tape to one of the back side windows, it wouldn't take much to run two 14 or 16awg wires back there and find a little voltage regulator. The window tint would limit the power output, yes. But ultimately all you're probably needing to offset is what, maybe 0.05 amps? I imagine it would do just fine

My gauge cluster drains my battery. I was keeping a charger on it at all times and having to disconnect the battery at work (I work 12 hour shifts) because it would be dead. I unplugged the gauge cluster and it has never drained the battery since. Even sitting months at a time now. 03 Chevy 1500HD BTW.

So I had the same problem even after I replaced the battery with the Diehard. It ended up being a worn relay in the fuse box for the ignition/starter. It was the original OEM part. After it was replaced with a new one, problem is no longer there, still going strong 6 months later. FYI, I chased the issue for months, replaced starter and battery and still had the issue.

I had a dash cam with an internal battery. I think the idea is you hook it up to a switched power source so that when you turn the car off, the built in battery will be just enough to shut the dash cam down. I found out the battery in mine had failed, and i had it hooked up wrong (i hooked it up to constant 12V). My dash cam would kill my battery in about 2-3 days. Wish i would have measured the current draw on it. But not sure what the best solution is since the texas sun just bakes these dash cams and causes the internal batteries to explode. I think higher end dash cams you can tie accessory power to and it will be a little smarter about power usage.
My other solution was to just install dual batteries but even then that would get me from 2-3 days to 4-6 days which still isn't great. The other solution is to get a battery tender and plug in when its going to be sitting (over the weekend for example). My last option was a small solar panel to keep the battery topped up which seems like it would be the best solution (if you aren't parking in a garage).

I have a 03 Z71 4x4. Three days of non use resulted in a dead battery. A battery test revealed a bad battery. With a new one....same thing....dead in 3 days. With vom in series at the negative side of battery and pulling fuses one at a time, the fuse controlling the instrument cluster showed an amp draw. Research revealed that solder in the cluster circuit board can “ migrate” .....defective solder....it deteriorates......Sent the cluster to Automotive Circuit Solutions in MO. Fast turn around, great result, fixed problem, refreshed the cluster AND. added trans temp gauge with return shipping $180. Bargain. Problem solved. After two years of ownership I’ve brought mechanicals to 100%. Now to the rust and leather replacement...Seat Cover Company. They are also great. I bought a driver seat bottom replacement for my Escalade. Perfect. My Tahoe has 175000 and pulls my double axle trailer daily..5000#...I’m a carpenter/ licensed contractor. This series of vehicles is reliable. Love your vids, Matt. Semper Fidelis Dave Heitman

My in laws got me a Type-S brand jump pack for Christmas and I actually had to use it right away on my Acura and I had charged it fully. Had to jump the car multiple times and it still showed over 90 percent charge left. I've only charged it one time since December 2020. It still has almost full battery left. The NOCO is a great product, being the most expensive, but these cheaper ones work just as good if not better. I don't know how much mine was because it was a gift but it's not expensive.

My Chevy Colorado can go 3 weeks or more without driving, I would have a flat batt. Dash cam, wireless remote for lights, bluethooth device would pull it down. Jumper would fire it off instantly. I installed a solar powered charger that fits up in the windshield. Keeps it topped of at full voltage.

Back in 2012 my 2001 Silverado needed a battery so I picked one up at Walmart, took it home and put it in and it wouldn't start my truck. I called Walmart and a girl in the auto service department said it may just be that battery was on the shelf too long and to bring it back and they would give me another one. I go back and in the 10 minutes it takes me to get there the service center manager decides to get involved. I was informed that they would need to "test" the battery before they would do anything. 30 minutes later I was told that they were charging the battery so they could "test it". The manager comes out and tells me the battery is good and I could take it home, I told him I wanted my money back along with my core battery. I went across the parking lot to Autozone and bought a Duralast that lasted until last year, I've always been pro Autozone, but I've had some bad experiences with them the last few years so next time I'm going to O'Reilly's. ;-)
