  • "Sagudsod De Mano" A dance depicting the night- catching of shrimps in the riverbank during low tide with the use of sudsod (scissors-like bamboo poles with triangular net) from the province of Aklan. The name “sagudsod de mano” is derived from the Aklanon language, with “sagudsod” meaning to catch using a net, and “mano” referring to hand or manual labor.
    Through this dance, they honor their heritage and pay tribute to the ancestral practices that have shaped their identity as a community. Overall, “Sagudsod de mano” is a testament to the enduring ties between culture, livelihood and artistic expression in Aklan, in capsulating the spirit of unity and resilience that characterize.
