    The Sonik HT rod is worth more money now then when they came out and they are rare to find, one of the best rods I have ever used, better than Century, Penn, Zziplex.

    Hi Greg just got a sonik gravity h5x 15 ft what link do you have on the reel line to go thro those small eyes on the tip or do you retire each time you tackle up thanks alan another great video

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 года назад

      So I use braided mainline, Its spiderwire smooth and I think it's around 9kg breaking strain, then I tie a 32.5kg mono leader to that. I use cinnetic skyline as it is very low diameter for the breaking strain and goes through the guides no problem. If your looking to get a spool of it contact aram via his page @gone fishing with the bearded Armenian and he has stock of all sizes

  • @GoneFishingFuerte

    Nice session mate, 4 different species & some dinner sorted. I wonder what magic that Armenian Gordon Ramsay could work on that Pollack, i hear he's been busy sealing shower cubicles instead tho. Very nice fish by matey too! Enjoyed watching the video, especially with that blue sky in the background, brought back lots of memories lol

    You seem to have been using braid for some time, do you have any recommendations and where to buy it?

    • @gsp
      @gsp  2 года назад

      I've used braid for years. I like spiderwire braid the best and I tend to get it from ebay or amazon. The diameter measurement is very accurate and very good breaking strain strength.

    hi is there any reason you youse brade as main line??

    • @gsp
      @gsp  Год назад

      Better bite detection becauseit has very minimal stretch, lower diameter so casts further, cuts through the sea better. But it is more expensive than mono and is not abrasion resistant
