I did see a peregrine try to take a black bird over the water but this was soaring like a buzzard, with a buzzard shape but the underside was nearly all white
The Sonik HT rod is worth more money now then when they came out and they are rare to find, one of the best rods I have ever used, better than Century, Penn, Zziplex.
Enjoyed that video. Great weather for fishing. Glad to see it wasn’t spoilt by any boats coming from across the channel. Good to see you returning fish. 👌🏻
Great session again, me and my lad are hooked (pardon the pun) on your vids always a pleasure to watch, informative and you’re happy to share your marks too. Keep up the great work you’ve certainly inspired me with some of your catches 👌
Many thanks for your kind words and yes I like to share the marks because there are alot of people that don't know where to start when targeting certain species, so I'm trying to help😁
Good work buddy, just came across this, good to see someone eating dogfish. There's plenty of them about. Now need to watch your rig vids as I have no clue how to build them. Cheers
Well done again Greg. I vowed never to fish that beach again after my mates and I lost so much gear their and that was 1995. It is the snaggiest Kent beach I Know.
Hi Greg just got a sonik gravity h5x 15 ft what link do you have on the reel line to go thro those small eyes on the tip or do you retire each time you tackle up thanks alan another great video
So I use braided mainline, Its spiderwire smooth and I think it's around 9kg breaking strain, then I tie a 32.5kg mono leader to that. I use cinnetic skyline as it is very low diameter for the breaking strain and goes through the guides no problem. If your looking to get a spool of it contact aram via his page @gone fishing with the bearded Armenian and he has stock of all sizes
Nice session mate, 4 different species & some dinner sorted. I wonder what magic that Armenian Gordon Ramsay could work on that Pollack, i hear he's been busy sealing shower cubicles instead tho. Very nice fish by matey too! Enjoyed watching the video, especially with that blue sky in the background, brought back lots of memories lol
I've used braid for years. I like spiderwire braid the best and I tend to get it from ebay or amazon. The diameter measurement is very accurate and very good breaking strain strength.
@@gsp First i grew up fishing in over and catching what you did off shaky was v well done Bull rock is along Shakespeare beach from the pier about 2 to 3 hundred yrds and you can see it on low tides about 20 yards out on the low Its about as big as a garage and covered in kelp Its the only real rock along till the cliffs
Nice one, when was this? The free parking is in the pink car park, turn left after the roundabout before you get to where you parked. Looking forward to some cod hopefully soon!
Great session with a nice mixed bag there Greg. some nice plump Doggies there too. keep the vid's coming & ignore the simple minded few Trolls-Obviously nothing better to do or are anti Fishing
Thanks mate! Did start to wind me up a little this weekend when all of a sudden my recent vids got 300 odd dislikes but I'm over it now and find it amusing how some people really haven't got a life!
Better bite detection becauseit has very minimal stretch, lower diameter so casts further, cuts through the sea better. But it is more expensive than mono and is not abrasion resistant
Thanks for sharing Nicely detailed photography
Thanks Lee👍👍
Nice to glimpse a Eagle.:-)
Nice one mate keep it up soon be at deal pier
Deal is on the cards👍
Wonderful video lovely fish I havent fish dover for about ten years must give it a go soon thanks for showing keep safe

Good video, nice fish 👍, bird was probably a peregrine Falcon 👍👍

I defo agree. I think it's an awesome rod

I know!

Not anymore! I think it's one of my favourite beaches now👍 anything can show up 🎣🎣

The Armenian Gordon Ramsey has disappeared off the face of the earth! 😂😂😂 Why would he chose house chores over fishing🤔 must be more to it🤣🤣
Greg what do you use on the end of your main line to clip your rigs on thanks alan
I use a gemini super strength link clip
was probably a marsh harrier
Another great sesh Greg. Where is Aram, he's missing all the fun.
He is currently staying with a friend during this lockdown / non lockdown period. We are planning a trip west when the weather allows it
Nice video mate
Hi Greg Nice vidio how is a aram? Tried contacting him just wondered if he's managed to get to Canada cheers Colin
Hi Colin! Cheers. Arams stay with a friend at the mo and he's OK. I'll probably see him soon when we go for a day's fishing
You seem to have been using braid for some time, do you have any recommendations and where to buy it?
I've used braid for years. I like spiderwire braid the best and I tend to get it from ebay or amazon. The diameter measurement is very accurate and very good breaking strain strength.
Has it really been 10 years? 😱
More than that I think mate! It's probably at least 8 yrs since we went to fuerte last
@@gsp flipping heck. That is crazy. It still only feels like yesterday 👍🎣
@@derrickmasters3404 I wish!
@@gsp damn straight 👍 my gear hasn't changed since I've been up here (due to not going at all 😭🎣😭)
What were the surprise fish? Wrasse and pollack on a stoney beach (hence what you were getting snagged on) are very common haha
Pollack don't come out of shakespeare beach very often at all!
does bull rock still show at low at shaky
Bull rock?

What’s that blue thing on the water line
Its a skiff. People beach them further up the shingle behind the car park alongside the Admiralty Pier.
Good video mate, good fishing, when are you getting the SIB out next?
Hopefully soon! But everytime I look at the forecast for when I have time it's always blowing a gale🤦♂️
Nice one, when was this? The free parking is in the pink car park, turn left after the roundabout before you get to where you parked. Looking forward to some cod hopefully soon!
This was a week or so ago, just before this dodgy weather
Great session with a nice mixed bag there Greg. some nice plump Doggies there too. keep the vid's coming & ignore the simple minded few Trolls-Obviously nothing better to do or are anti Fishing

hi is there any reason you youse brade as main line??
Better bite detection becauseit has very minimal stretch, lower diameter so casts further, cuts through the sea better. But it is more expensive than mono and is not abrasion resistant
The free parking is just around corner of your car
Where! Please... I cant afford that everytime😂
On last roundabout keep straight towards docks and before barriers turn left in the pink car park. It’s just 2 min added walk
Nice video m8
The bird I think looked like a white tip wingspan of about 5to 6foot I know they have been seen down south
A white tip what ?
@@annabeltheunicorn9374 eagle
It was on autumn watch
Sorry it a white tailed
Thanks Greg I’ll contact Aram I’ve spoke to him on messenger so I know how to get in touch with him cheers alan and get some Gemini link clips
Glad to have been of assistance! 👍
Hi like you to do a night fish there
Dogfish tastes like shit man, how can you eat that lol
Are you joking! A bled and skinned dogfish tastes awesome
@@gsp maybe I did it wrong lol
Maybe you did because it is so delicious! Bleed it straight away and then skin it at the end of the session. Bleeding it stops the ammonia building up
im not a fan of eating dog fish, to much messing about and they smell of piss
