IPO's are usually undertaken after the company in question has been in business for a while. Getting funding from banks/investment banks, private, equity, hedge funds, and other large scale investors usually happens before an airline goes public.

Also, anybody playing transport tycoon will know that if you acquire your capital, the key to success is a fully laden plane from one end of the map to the other in the quickest possible time! 1 flight = instant recoup for your initial investment!

Despite all of this, I really would love to do a New England - Caribbean connection airline. Something small, that uses A220s, and a hub in Florida to connect travelers from New England to the Caribbean and vice versa at an economical price.

@@Dominicano809 If I had the means, now would be amazing time lol unfortunately, I don't know much of the airline business and I don't have the capital. But I still would love to talk to someone interested. You never know what we can get going.

I was thinking I'd be the figurehead with the idea and have some sort of contracted deal with investors where I'd run it as if I own it but they'd put up the money. With the option for me to keep purchasing shares from the investors and other shareholders over time so that eventually I'd own enough shares to be considered (one of) the owner(s).

Find an organisation that wants to launder a fuckton of money from illegal logging and ill gotten gains and approach them with your business proposal... he ho... we have Lion Air!
I'm sure south american aviation has a wonderful opportunity somewhere! They can even commercialise the bushflights and legitimise it. I mean cargo does carry a lot of cash if it's coke!

Airline startups are high risk, low return business - unless you already are an industry rockstar, have uncle high up in government or absolutely brilliant idea to differentiate yourself, chances of getting sufficient funding are extremely slim, from investor's perspective there are many much safer and potentially more lucrative options available.

Starting an airline would be millions of times more expensive than having one's own children. We all know how expensive having children can be, don't we.

The best way to start an airline is not to. There are things in life its better not to try unless you are very knowledgeable and loaded in cash. But if you must- join local fbo or charter and learn alot.

10:32-11:05 Global Events: What about Putin’s Invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦 in February 2022? Hadn’t that had some effect on the global airline industry too? Especially as all airlines were recovering ❤️‍🩹 from the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic 😷 when the Invasion took hold?!!!

I'm sorry, but to me your videos are underwhelming. It seems like the script is being written by and/or read in the fashion of a copywriter. The visuals are impractical. I yearn more details, rivalling Wendover Productions' approach (though he's more about logistics, he's got early vids on aviation). Cudos for the example, you can give more when you free up the timing. You can do it better and not merely fill in the free spot for an online course!

I think you guys have a great opportunity to have high viewership by producing this type of content. Check wendover productions he built the entire channel on similar content and you have much better knowledge of the airline industry. I think there is a wider audience that is interested in this industry but not necessarily in the issues of a specific aircraft.
